006 Cannabis Infused Coconut Oil – Sous Vide
Coconut oil has a much higher saturated fat content than other oils so it is the best for extracting cannabinoids. I can be used in place of butter in baking and is excellant for cannabis edibles.
Do you have to decarb the flower prior to infusing or can you just extend the time it’s in the water bath?
Wouldn’t the flower just decarb from the heat of the water? Could you do that if you can’t decarb in oven?
I knew just by the thumbnail that this would be good. Older stoners know what they’re doin 🙃
Why not not use Soy lecithin?
Can it be stored at room temp like regular coconut oil? Or is it more potent when stored in a fridge?
did you also decarb the herb with the sous vide? if so how long and at what temp?
Great video! Thank you 🙂
I plan to buy around 700g of hemp with around 6% of CBD to make concentrated 700ml of cbd oil. Do you think that is a good idea or its a bit off?
You seem to have the best handle on this subject so I subbed and liked , you do things very accurately and sometimes send finished product to be lab tested which is most impressive , I notice others on YT do it at 207 for an hour or so , I would think thats too high as I thought the THC is ruined at 180, Also I saw your other vid where you sent your product off to be tested , I couldn’t understand the results page so some explanation would be good ? I think you said there that 100% carboxylation was achieved in 2 or 3 hours . My question would be ; can you not put your butter or coconut oil in a bag with your uncarboylated weed and cook longer to save steps and mess ? Thank you for your insight , great stuff , cheers !
What does sunflower lecithin do in the mix? I have Multiple Sources would mind
