21+only..Its not potassium deficiency its nutrient lockout

A case where a grower found what he thought was a k deficiency. He treated it with budboosters and upped his potassium. Then he got a nutrient toxicity so he gave me a call,i found the first runnoff at over 1400ppm.wow,leached the plant until reaching just under 600ppm.update.. the sour jamaican plant is responding well now to feeding.

Had the same problem on 2 of my plants. I didn’t run off the nutrients/ water when I fed and watered so that shit just kept building up more and more inside my soil, I didn’t understand why I was getting tip burn, curled tips, burning around the edges, i just flushed the pots. One of my plants appears to have a severe iron deficiency

  6. Thaibrad on September 14, 2022 at 2:50 pm

Hi dude very good video. I was having the problem you was talking about. So I flushed runoff was high like 1200 so I flushed less than 5 minutes. Was checking the water and think iv got it down ppm was flashing between 500 600 ppm. Is that ok.

  13. Sir Maxwell on September 14, 2022 at 3:02 pm

What was the PH of the water you flushed with? Think that might be important?

Man I need help… My babies are hurt, looks like bit marks but then there’s a lot of burn on the leafs…. yellowing also.. I can’t figure out what it is!

Good info on leaving ppms in the soil not letting it drip to low depending on size and container plant it in . I try to feed once my ppms run af 600-800 around week 4-5 bc that tells me their hungry for 1000-1200 ppm wish I could feed more higher and frequent but they don’t eat that much if I feed 2-3 times in a week I’ll get high run off even at low ppm going in . So tellls me they eat slow the bigger the plant the more it can eat as long you don’t lollipop the hell out of it bc then it can’t take in as much nutrients need leaves something I learned the hard way

  20. Robert Lester on September 14, 2022 at 3:10 pm

There’s some around the edges but it started spotting on the leaf

Very important to maintain ph levels to insure correct nutrient intake

  25. nathaniel rosas on September 14, 2022 at 3:14 pm

What type of medium is he using? Soil, soiless, coco coir? Sometimes your soil will have a run off of 2800 ppm without any nutrients. That’s fresh out the bag.

  26. tuxboy06 on September 14, 2022 at 3:14 pm

Man had the same problem with my plant … Mine is a ph problem, I think that my ph meter was defective… I had a doubt but I said that i’ll trust the ph meter😔 the plant starts lockout the day after… I’ll flush the plant with tap water 6.5 pH hope that the baby will recover… The bucket is taking time to try the water 3 days already and it is still wet bro… I introduced a little bit of water and nutes like 500ml to help the plant because I am in preflowering… 4 days after lea es are still getting yellowish 😔

  27. locky on September 14, 2022 at 3:16 pm

If you do a slurry test before you even put your plants in you will have way less problems. Get the soil to a ph of 6.5. In peat based mix use wood ash and lime. Test ppm if to high cut it with cocco until it lowers.

  32. x GGRUNNER55K x on September 14, 2022 at 3:23 pm

    Pot caster

  33. John Smithson on September 14, 2022 at 3:25 pm

For fucks sake this is it. My runoff is coming out heaps higher then my input and my leaves are burning at the ends I thought potassium deficiency but it sounds like nutrient lockout which is why my runoff ppm is so high, all the nutes are being locked out

  34. Denham Dave's on September 14, 2022 at 3:25 pm

This reminds me of a 2002 episode of cops buy quality of the video 😄

  35. Evan Jones on September 14, 2022 at 3:26 pm

So, pre-flush a new bag of garden soil, before the plant/transplant?

  36. Tony on September 14, 2022 at 3:29 pm

    It wants some bananas

  37. Keith Spear on September 14, 2022 at 3:29 pm

Is potassium what makes the leaves frost in late stage?

  38. JA Arguello on September 14, 2022 at 3:31 pm

How much potassium is needed (mg) for each plant?

  39. Danny Boy on September 14, 2022 at 3:32 pm

One of the sprout leaves at the bottom of my plant is brownish in one half of the leave but all the other branches and leaves (which there are a lot of) look very green and healthy it’s only one leaf and it’s still growing at a steady rate whats wrong with my plant ? ☹️

  40. Stellar on September 14, 2022 at 3:34 pm

Ppl need to see this! Do not feed food without runoff! I fucked my plant and couldn’t figure it out. Nutrient lockout is a bitch.

A lot of. Calcium or magnesium can interfere with potassium absorption because they all have like charges
