Commercial Growers only use LEDs for rooting Clones and a few days vegging when the plants are small. After that they use only High Pressure Sodium for flowering / fruiting plants.
Q what are these retrofit LEDs that run of a 600W digital HPS/MH ballasts and run up to a 720w LED??????

I’m looking for small grow light for a small collection of house plants on a multi shelf stand, what would you recommend. Or are you just into the big fancy lights?

I know you mentioned ebay, you couldn’t be more correct. However, I did purchase two Spiderfarmer SF-4000 for $500 and both work great in two 3×3 tents at 25% to 50% output.
No Synce raging kush 2 ? Last year was best spectrum/tunable. Did something change?

Thanks for the great advice on a topic I know makes me feel stupid when trying to understand all the charts and numbers that get posted about the various lights. Dirty secret I actually bought most of my current DWC set up from both the Chinese and US mega online retailers. So please understand that I’m a lazy consumer.
Anyway I think that it’s a really good thing that cheaper brands are able to make lights with the same or very similar components for a budget price point. I’m running a 4×4 tent with 4x 150w draw power Viparspectra xs 1500 with the Samsung mean well combo and I couldn’t be happier
Prabobly they are all made in Risen factory where you can order from same specs for less
Someone who just want to get rid of his 1000 watts HPS only needs 500 Watts in LED, because it is twice as effichent as HPS. Most people will not need more than 200 watts of LED.
If u don’t test PAR yourself it have no value bro… All compagnies are lying on efficiency… MIGRO do the correct job ! Can Do better dude!

Maybe the Diablo V2 or the mammoth? Does the mammoth come with UV lighting or is it adaptable? I am new to this LED switching over from HPS.

There’s no replacement for displacement. 1000 HPS all day long.
I want to show you take a bag of miracle grow potting soil, pour it in a bin.
Then take ten gallons of spring water pour that in the bin..
Let the soil soak in the spring water for couple days stirring occasionally…
THEN STRAIN THE WATER OUT BEFORE YOU USE IT.
This Nutrifies the soil while removing EVERYTHING UNNECESSARY IN THE SOIL.
What the plants don’t need, the plants don’t need.
I don’t know about you but I want my Plants to RECEIVE They’re nutrients from the spring water I water them with and nothing else
