Build a low pressure aeroponic system in 2 minutes with this quick DIY video. Aeroponic tips & trick
Simple to make low pressure aeroponic splaterponic System how-to DIY. I bought the “Commander 64 gallon” tote for around $38 dollars. Use a 2 or 3 inch hole saw to cut the holes for your net cups, with a foam insert to hold the plant. If you want, add a drain hole but to keep it easy just use the pump to pump out your nutrients. Apply “stick & peal” rubber door or marine seal around the top of the tote in between the lid. Add reflective bubble wrap if you want to. That’s it for the chamber.
For the system I bought a 1/2 hp sewage pump from Ace Hardware, the black hose that goes with it and last a check valve that I reversed to plug the end of the hose. Last cut a small 1/4 inch slice about every foot into the black hose. Add your timer and fool around with the timing if you want, for this project I just kept it at 15 seconds on every hour.
If your water starts to smell stagnant it may be getting to warm, adjust your on time for longer or add a UV light and turn it on for about 2-4 hours daily until the water clears up. Remember that only was a quick fix, look to see if light is getting inside the chamber causing algae or the black container is absorbing too much light & heat, in which painting it white or adding reflective bubble wrap will cool it down. When all else fails keep bottles of frozen water in the freezer and drop them in to cool the nutrient water. Little trick- add a few porous stones in the net cup to keep some moisture up top in the beginning, remember to have fun and focus on the top!!!
Your videos really suck, but I love what you’re doing and the way you’re doing it a lot.
