This inflatable habitat, developed by Sierra Space, is how space real estate is going to be all about. But would the Ultimate Pressure Test burst the real estate bubble? It’s #NotWhatYouThink #NWYT #shorts

Stronger than steel? Steel can withstand much more than 190psi

  2. melikey187 on March 14, 2023 at 9:41 pm

So the airplane tires are stronger?

  3. STUNNAVSION85 on March 14, 2023 at 9:42 pm

That was a slick ass innuendo! 😂🫡

  4. Evan T on March 14, 2023 at 9:43 pm

so its weaker than a plane tire? did someone forget that asteroids and space debris exist and that thing will most likely just get tore through by a flying rock while you sleep?

  5. Anna Benedetti on March 14, 2023 at 9:43 pm

Did Elon Musk come up with this crap?

  6. garth james on March 14, 2023 at 9:43 pm

It pops at less pressure thar a aircraft tire. No thanks you.

  7. Sub 2me on March 14, 2023 at 9:44 pm

    Pure fuckery

  8. datboi on March 14, 2023 at 9:45 pm

    Literally me

  9. Jim Y on March 14, 2023 at 9:45 pm

instead of being inflated like a football or basketball you go for the low hanging fruit by doing a dick joke?

  10. david wilson on March 14, 2023 at 9:46 pm

    I got a needle.

    It’s just like men.

  13. Rave Shadows on March 14, 2023 at 9:47 pm

Uh I’d like additional shielding and you know parashoots and Srs

  14. Triox64 on March 14, 2023 at 9:47 pm

Sorry, but the failure test pressure comparison is absolutely pointless to tell me without the operating pressure.

  15. Taylor Hackney on March 14, 2023 at 9:49 pm

192psi at ground level atmospheric pressure, how about when it’s in the vacuum of space and that 192 psi wants out even more?

  16. Buddha Bar on March 14, 2023 at 9:49 pm

Did they say 192 psi? Thats not a lot

  17. Mitch Graham on March 14, 2023 at 9:49 pm

190psi is not a lot… Steel can be pressurized to thousands of lbs/psi

  18. MawTrust on March 14, 2023 at 9:51 pm

Me : and then there is a leak

  19. Muso Master on March 14, 2023 at 9:52 pm

    Hail Vectran

    More

  21. Karl Kastor on March 14, 2023 at 9:56 pm

Shame the company that makes this (Bigelow Aerospace) went bankrupt. Luckily Sierra Nevada Corporation is planning a very similar design for their space station, which is receiving funding from NASA

  22. Dira on March 14, 2023 at 9:56 pm

    cosmic radiation………

  23. Keith Morse on March 14, 2023 at 9:57 pm

Yeah I’m worried about it bursting steel can be repaired but if that gets punctured it bursts not very stable for a living in

  24. laid off blue-collar guy on March 14, 2023 at 10:02 pm

Wait a airplane tire can get up to 200 psi and the dome only 192 psi but 5x stronger than steel? I call cap

  25. Curtis Whitehurst on March 14, 2023 at 10:02 pm

I’m also curious as to why the steel pipe that they had it hooked to during the pressure test didn’t burst first. It is stronger than steel, right?

  26. Dave B on March 14, 2023 at 10:07 pm

But how strong is it at nominal 14.7 psi? And how does it react to a hole punched in it from space debris?

  27. NX0RA8LE XER0 on March 14, 2023 at 10:09 pm

This is a Darwin disaster waiting to happen. Someone will inevitably want to hang a picture on the wall, forget where they are, proceed to grab a drill and……….💨

  28. tatersncorn on March 14, 2023 at 10:09 pm

190 psi for that much surface area is so impressive.

  29. Nayan on March 14, 2023 at 10:09 pm

A design that is related to nature 💀

  30. Heavenly sniper on March 14, 2023 at 10:11 pm

Sorry to brake it to you but human’s never landed on the moon and humans never landed on mars

  32. OGtripleOG on March 14, 2023 at 10:12 pm

    Nah

  33. Anthony Dean on March 14, 2023 at 10:12 pm

Until a micrometeorite hits it at 160,000 mph or orbital debris hits it at 22,000 mph.

  34. Boobtubenoob on March 14, 2023 at 10:12 pm

So all that technology and the tire on an aeroplane is stronger 😂😂

  35. Lua on March 14, 2023 at 10:14 pm

    🪨 hard😜🔞😂

  36. Jake Militano on March 14, 2023 at 10:15 pm

    Haha wat a joke

  38. SpaceManCeelo on March 14, 2023 at 10:16 pm

That’s what like the equivalent to a 10 foot fall connected to rope

  39. Robert Consoni on March 14, 2023 at 10:19 pm

What keeps it from being punctured by space debris or rock?

  40. fidel NAWIS on March 14, 2023 at 10:19 pm

    All trash

  41. Natedawg on March 14, 2023 at 10:20 pm

It’s cool and all until a rock the size of a dime shoots through it at 100,000mph

  42. evodio vaz on March 14, 2023 at 10:20 pm

Ahh 😱 great idea! Imagine you, inside of a bubble in space and tiny little object fly through the capsule and boom 💥?

  43. Architecture Whisperer on March 14, 2023 at 10:22 pm

    Learning from creation. Again.

  44. HamburgerWhopper on March 14, 2023 at 10:24 pm

The space pebble going over the speed of sound would lime to say hi

‘rock hard’ proceeds to put a girl eating banana, nice.

  46. DAY on March 14, 2023 at 10:26 pm

Seems like a scam to siphon money from taxpayers, where are the Whipple Shields? Because without them it’s no match for a piece of iron going 40,0000 miles per hour. Who would work in one when at any moment you can be in the vacuum of space and have your blood pulled through your skin, air forcefully removed from your lungs, and blood boiling I don’t know what happens there, it’s just boiling at its current temperature but dying in space is very painful. ..The space agency is supposed to make regular plans for budget requests, plans that might not necessarily be used for genuine space insertion.
