Marijuana edibles: Everything you need to know
In a second wave of recreational legalization in Canada, cannabis edibles will be permitted for legal sale no later than Oct. 17, 2019, Health Canada has confirmed. And the market is up for grabs.
The edibles industry is expected to be worth $4.1 billion in Canada and the United States by 2022, according to a report by a marijuana market research company called The Arcview.
As of now, in Canada, you can make cannabis-infused food at home but it is illegal for anyone to buy and or sell them to the public.
Canada’s proposed edible pot regulations have been published by Health Canada and the 60-day consultation process has come to an end. The public health agency is now reviewing the responses.

As a Canadian that has had a REALLY bad experience with edibles; I’m certainly here to DEFEND marijuana and edibles. Likewise with any experience you learn and heal from it. I only had such a bad experience with it because I literally did EVERYTHING wrong when taking it. I was not educated on marijuana AT ALL and rushed into the experience. If you’re educated on the plant and do it correctly, I’m sure it will be a better experience. I can sure why it is a drug though, it really does change your brain chemistry but that is what it is. And for the excuse that kids can get a hold of it, let’s not determine anything based off poor parenting.

What a joke
It’s because when you smoke THC it creates a chemical in your body ie delta 9 THC which gives you the high right away but when eaten it has to go through your system which takes time which explains the delay in affects but yours system absorbs it changes the chemical structure to 11 hydroxy which is more potent than delta 9 THC and lasts longer that is the true science and true fax about it all
300mg is my perfect dose.. Can’t imagine 10mg edibles .. Here its $25 for 1000mg bag of gummies
I’ve been experiencing headaches after ingesting 5 mg chewable’s (1) on an empty stomach. Today is much worse. DO NOT INGEST (tincture or edibles) ON AN EMPTY STOMACH! Your body aka blood aka liver seems to need fats and proteins.

I am sorry, but 10 mg is far too much for a single serving for edibles, 5 mg is more than I can take today. I am shocked and appalled that this is the informed opinion of the FDA. This is bad practice and potentially a deliberate attempt to undermine the legalization process.

I have never ate an actual edible but I just made some last night. Used 60grams of bud, 3 cups of water and 1lb of unsalted butter to make the cannabutter and used half of the butter patty to make my first batch of brownies.i have no idea how potent they will be but they smell like weed and taste like weed

This is NOT "everything you need to know". Possibly one of the most important facts about edibles that no one ever mentions is the tolerance build up.
Finally got my hands on some edibles, tried 1 to be safe, got a slight tingle, so the next day i gobble 2 expecting a decent effect and get absoloutly nothing. Space your space cakes out folks, ive wasted more than i care to think about
