I got it open folks. You keep turning the top and moving it up and down like you’re twisting off a bottle cap. Then you pull them apart like a chicken bone. It popped off after all day trying to open it properly

  2. sorrowful Satchel on May 31, 2023 at 6:46 pm

Bro you just open it like how you would open a bottle of pills, it’s not that hard lmao

  3. Erick Carriera on May 31, 2023 at 6:46 pm

Praise baby jesus cant open this sour green can

  4. Jack Doyle on May 31, 2023 at 6:47 pm

Just brute force open it by ramming a screwdriver between the two pieces. The metal is super easy to bend at that point, and then just be patient

  5. Brian P Gregory on May 31, 2023 at 6:49 pm

I resorted to going outside and throwing them at a slab of
Concrete and it actually worked! Kind of annoyed that they make these impossible to open. I’ll stick to the punch bar company!

  6. The Rewired Soul on May 31, 2023 at 6:50 pm

    Try a butter knife ✌️

  7. T Davis on May 31, 2023 at 6:50 pm

So effed! Are they such idiots that they don’t realize that many that use CBD are using it due to health reasons and injuries such as carpal tunnel? It’s hard to open if you’re healthy and functional and many aren’t! Not to mention, the tin is freaking huge!

With poor grip and hands slightly too the small side, is about to get a screwdriver and force it. Thank you for the guidance!

That said, if you can’t open it, do NOT throw it away. Take it to the dispensary and tell them it’s defective and you’d like them to open it or replace it (and open that one) or refund your money. If Kiva gets enough complaints from the dispensaries, we might see change. They like to say they are there as a pharmacy alternative. Guess what!? A pharmacy will offer an alternative to child proof containers!

  8. Alec B on May 31, 2023 at 6:52 pm

I got it open, required a 45lbs weight

  9. Breakfast Princess on May 31, 2023 at 6:53 pm

So, can anyone explain how to open this can? What a waste of time this was.

  10. Samantha Phoenix on May 31, 2023 at 6:54 pm

I’m opening one right now swearing them off.

  11. Nancy Coleman on May 31, 2023 at 6:54 pm

  15. Emily Johnstone on May 31, 2023 at 7:00 pm

I opened mine in 3 seconds with a tiny screwdriver 😅 (after two days and this video)

  16. Stoned baby on May 31, 2023 at 7:00 pm

Just put a butter knife between the parts and turn it or a screw driver easy asf that way

  17. Aimee Lopez on May 31, 2023 at 7:04 pm

Lol just used the seat belt buckle to pop it off 😂😂😂😂

  18. Jon Kursave on May 31, 2023 at 7:04 pm

Butter knife. Works like a charm

  19. Katiuska Alicea on May 31, 2023 at 7:07 pm

Don’t waste 5 minutes. Just get a screwdriver and pry it open

  20. Kimbereley Rausch on May 31, 2023 at 7:10 pm

I had the same problem only with the Camino Sours. Normally you would push with your palms twist and it opens right up! With these it’s a little bit different. Hold the bottom lift the top and it pops right off. Once you take your gummy out put the top back on and then just push it down and make sure it makes that popping sound and it’s sealed.

  21. Rachel Rollins on May 31, 2023 at 7:11 pm

Hey!! I just shoved a quarter up there and it worked!

  22. Erin Holmes on May 31, 2023 at 7:11 pm

Solution found: wearing latex gloves gave me the traction needed to push and twist. Opened immediately! Those silicone jar openers work like a charm too!

  23. Greg Brand on May 31, 2023 at 7:12 pm

Here’s a trick. Get something with rubber, like flip flops. Place the bottom of the can on the flip-flops. Now, press really hard into the flip-flops, and turn the lid counterclockwise. You will feel extra friction as you turn, which indicates you’ve actually found the right groove. Keep this up until the lid unscrews. Enjoy your reward

  24. Andrew Korzeniewski on May 31, 2023 at 7:12 pm

Girl you’re trippin fr. “Just throw em away.” I smacked those shits against my countertop until the can presented its juicy innards to me.

  25. Chloe Sheppard on May 31, 2023 at 7:13 pm

First, Get a belt with a metal buckle. Then, take the middle part that goes through your belt holes and push it under the lid and use the edge of the can like a fulcrum until you deform the lid. Once it’s pretty deformed, like the edge of the lid is bowing a bit, wiggle it until it comes off. If it won’t come off keep prying until it does. This will RUIN the child-proofing but make it so the can is easy to open repeatedly even after you close it up again.

  26. WilliamHbadass on May 31, 2023 at 7:13 pm

They are either easy to open or you need a flat head screwdriver to pop it off because the threads are stripped. If the tin is screwed up, I just put them in a mini plastic food container. I haven’t had any troubles recently.

  27. Juicy Peach on May 31, 2023 at 7:13 pm

you need a scissor and pry it open. it worked for me in 2 minutes

  28. Ceremor on May 31, 2023 at 7:13 pm

    #relatable

  29. Matthew H on May 31, 2023 at 7:14 pm

I used one of those silver paint prying hooks… and just put the gummies in a zip lock..

  30. Joelle Leung on May 31, 2023 at 7:16 pm

I’m literally struggling with the same thing! I have a ton of Camino gummies, and this is the ONLY tin, of ALL my tins that won’t open.

  31. Terry Johnson on May 31, 2023 at 7:18 pm

I never heard of these things before and I bought several tins of them today. I came here for the obvious reason. The mistake was either printing the opening instructions on the base or leaving out the word "TOP" at the end. Either that or just print "PRESS DOWN AND TURN" and people would just turn the top normally. It is a simple enough mistake, but how did it go so long without their "quality" control catching it. These are fantastic tins, way over-engineered for this purpose, but they will be useful for years to come, it would be a shame to just toss them. I cross-threaded both of my Midnight Blue SLEEP tins and I am annoyed enough to use that link to get them replaced. Thank you. I just checked the date of this video. Feburary! It’s December and these things are still on the shelf!

  32. D. John N on May 31, 2023 at 7:18 pm

I have the Camino midnight blueberry sleep gummies and can’t for the life of me open this tin!! I got it open the first couple times now I’ve been trying for the past 30 minutes

  33. Duane Keller on May 31, 2023 at 7:18 pm

I’ve never had a problem until recently after about 2 years using these tins ..now I have 2 that seem stripped,I think your right some wear out and both still are half full ..I’ll try the butter knife ! And they are the best gummies!

  34. Stacy Richards on May 31, 2023 at 7:20 pm

Use an old timey can opener to hook the prong between the seems and wedge open the top – done

  35. Lily Safaie on May 31, 2023 at 7:20 pm

I stuck a knife in, twisted and it came off

  36. Andrew Hansen on May 31, 2023 at 7:25 pm

I’m so pissed. I just had oral surgery and can’t vape and I have one tin of these gummies and I’m screwed bc the damn shit is locked

  37. Helen Far on May 31, 2023 at 7:26 pm

After watching your video I can now open lol 😂 your friend video def was enough.

  38. ShoxHD on May 31, 2023 at 7:26 pm

You have to palm both sides hard and twist. Annoying little bastard

  39. Garry Kim on May 31, 2023 at 7:28 pm

I just cracked mine open with a screwdriver and put the gummies in candy container. I can’t believe how flawed their packaging is. Who greenlit that pOS.

  40. Leslie Martinez on May 31, 2023 at 7:29 pm

Just popped my Pineapple Habanero w a butter knife. I’d chew through this tin before I throw it away!!

  41. Morena Duwe on May 31, 2023 at 7:29 pm

So many hours of frustration spent using various tools and techniques to open these damn tins and to no avail! The weirdest part is that it doesn’t happen with every tin.

  42. jmfii on May 31, 2023 at 7:30 pm

As SOON as you said “child proof” I figured out what to do and OPENED THE TIN 😂

  43. Valerie Perez on May 31, 2023 at 7:31 pm

Sometimes it works if you pull it apart hard and twist

  44. Pamcredible on May 31, 2023 at 7:31 pm

On my first can at the moment and I was about to grab a screwdriver to pry it open when I thought to try YT. First video said to use a screwdriver if you’re really frustrated but then showed how to do it the right way. I didn’t have enough strength to do it palm to palm, but I just used one hand to really press it hard while I turned it and that worked. It’s the top part that needs to turn the direction of the arrow (that’s key). I’m left-handed, so I press the bottom part into my right hand and turn with my left pushing really hard the whole time. Hope that works for you!

  45. BeesKnees on May 31, 2023 at 7:31 pm

I just caught myself saying, "WTF, KIVA? Why hasn’t the issue been addressed yet? Are you all high?"
    🤣😁

Seriously, it speaks volumes about how good the KIVA Caminos are that I am willing to repeatedly subject myself to such distress.

The issue is exacerbated with the Sours. The coating of sugar/citric acid crystals gets caught in the tracks of the lock mechanism.

I assumed that they had prioritized children’s safety above all, until I thought about how ridiculously easy it is to open my all-time favorite KIVA Lost Farms Raspberry Wedding Cake. (Please, KIVA! Make more)!
    🙏😸

  46. 지미_stayblink on May 31, 2023 at 7:33 pm

I’m here because I can’t open my goddam gummies 😂😂😂

  47. James Bond on May 31, 2023 at 7:34 pm

Why they hell would anyone make a video and just blah blah blah while having the same problem and no solution?? Ok, thanks for sharing? She must work in a dispensary where they have the tip jars on the counter and then you’re expected to tip them as if they really helped you with anything after you just walked in already knowing what you a wanted🙄🙄🙄

  48. Harry on May 31, 2023 at 7:34 pm

She explains how at 1:40 -> https://youtu.be/4UqWuMQLsJs?t=100 – – The rest of the video is her "gaming" those who let themselves think she can’t do it. – – Pay attention. That’s how you get unconditioned. Pay attention all the time.

  49. James Bond on May 31, 2023 at 7:35 pm

Update..If you barely pry it up with a screwdriver it pops off with no problem. My lid won’t lock now, but I won’t have any more trouble opening it either

  50. Kodo Elder-Groebe on May 31, 2023 at 7:44 pm

Guys theres a solution! Don’t throw away your gummies! Take a flathead screwdriver, insert it into the gap between the lid and the base of the can, then firmly rotate the screwdriver. If the flathead is large enough the can should pop open. I tried opening it the normal way for so long I thought I’d have to throw em out but the screwdriver tip worked for me!
