This is cool . I was gonna use the 5 gallon buckets . How well will they grow if you leave them in the 5 gallon tote and not transplant them to the 12 gallon ?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I always do outdoor.

Running the hole saw in reverse eliminates the need to clean up the burrs..

Great job, nice and clean straightforward video. I haven’t made the leap to dwc yet but looking for a new setup for this fall thanks

im sorry but you wanna not do that with the air stone, at all. You wanna smaller stone on a line coming in through the lid, that way come change out you literally lift out the lid and drop the plant roots and air stone right into that freshly prepped pot, its ready to go, no faffing.

That stone man, it has a normal 6mm air hose input but you coming in with like 2 inch hosing, no need.

Thank you Mr. Joe I am going to Home Depot today and Harbor freight on the way before the Super Bowl starts I’ve been wanting to make one of these DWC pots for a while I’ve noticed on Amazon they go for $60-$160 for one pot

Joe, solid stuff. My 12yo and I are building a 4 site based off this exact method you presented. We were wondering if you’ve ever used a more shallow tote with a different pump cycle? After running numbers and measurements for our setup, we think we could almost double our sites. Thoughts appreciated. Take care.

Is there any benefit in growing in this shaped 5 gallon tote compared to a 5 gal bucket?
