Watch The Effect Marijuana Has On Dogs After They Find Owners Stash

Videos of stoned dogs have been posted on YouTube and show what happens when people’s precious pooches accidently eat food laced with pot. Now that medical marijuana is legal in 23 states, pot-infused edibles are more common than ever and scenarios with dogs getting high are also more common. A vet told Inside Edition what to do if your dog ingests marijuana. #InsideEdition

It’s hilarious that they say at the end to go to the vet like there’s anything the vet can do for the dog. If they can’t do anything except say wait it out for a human what can they do for a dog

My cat literally claws at my door and meows if I don’t let her into my room when I’m smoking.

She had a chronic heart condition from birth and the vets said she wouldn’t live past 2 …

she is now 12 and for over half her life she has been exposed to weed smoke every other day

I never blow smoke at her but she likes to be in the room when I smoke, and it definitely has an minor effect on her, she likes to chase her tail when she gets stoned

Second hand smoke IS harmful, long term, but a cat / dog really doesn’t live that long so the likelihood of a pet developing cancer or a lung / heart condition due to second hand smoke is very very unlikely. As long as you don’t actually blow it in their face all the time.

My dog on the other hand does not like it when I smoke around him as it makes him sneeze. So I never smoke around my dog.

I’m pro cannabis but animals and dogs shouldn’t eat cannabis food or any thc products at all for that matter. Sounds like the owners of those pets were very irresponsible and I hope those owners learned thier lesson. Cannabis is for humans but not for animal’s. Even though this story is 7 years old it’s still informative.

  24. suzz on June 12, 2023 at 9:35 pm

I used to grow and I had a pregnant cat at the time, at night time she would go and prune the small plants for me and it helped her through the pregnancy and even the birth. She had the easiest cat birth I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t think she ate the buds but like I said, she ate the leaves at the bottom (basically pruning it for me) and it was obvious it helped her. So small amounts of THC or CBD or w.e. the young leaves have in them does help feline pregnancy and birth. And the babies came out perfect and they were super smart.

Absolutely apalling behaviour to the guy blowing smoke into the dogs face. He should be arrested, fined, and his dog taken away from him. He should not be allowed to have any pets as that’s abuse to our helpless furbabies! This is not funny.🀬

  27. Austin Hall on June 12, 2023 at 9:41 pm

My jack russel absolutely loved getting baked. Hed come up to the bong and paw at it when he wanted me to blow smoke in his face.

Not weed, but once my minipig broke into my parent’s six-pack of beer that had been left outside on the porch and he had his fill by puncturing the cans, about 3-4 of them total but most of it was spilled around.

He spent the next few hours grumpily snorting and "growling" at out bullmastiff like he was trying to pick a fight with him, the dog just stood there looking confused. After quite a while of drunken staggering the pig finally ended up in his bunk and slept to the next day and it was pretty clear he was hungover when he finally woke up lol. I can’t even imagine what would have happened if he ever had the chance to have a taste of my stash, he might have eaten the whole freaking house in his munchies.

  38. Tsukiko Suzuki on June 12, 2023 at 9:57 pm

Hello everyone, vet assistant here. Weed is toxic to dogs. The minimum lethal dose for dogs is about 3 grams of thc. Which is a lot of THC, but if you break it down, that’s only three 1 gram cart, 1, three gram cart, an ounce of flower, and any mix match of edibles. Symptoms of a weed OD for your dog may include: glassy-eyes, stumbling/incoordination, dilated pupils, vomiting, coma, and in about 25 percent of dogs, agitation and excitement. Urine dribbling is also very common, especially in dogs. Serious effects include changes in heart rate, coma, tremors, and seizures. The signs typically begin 30 to 60 minutes after ingestion, or sooner if inhaled.

I’ve seen 600mg nerds ropes and if one of those can make a human green out for many hours at a time, imagine what it’ll do to your dog who most likely weighs much less than you. Your dog isn’t having a good time.
