I’m intrigued! That is so cool! I had never considered aquaponics as a way to start bigger plants/trees. For some reason my brain was really stuck on smaller annual plant crops. How do the trees do if transplanted?

Have you found an organic fish food supplier that you could share with us?

Amazing stuff. This was the way I wanted to go many years ago, but I just cannot do the setup here in Thailand.

So for the dual root system what kind of soil do you use like a cocoa mix? And what additives do you use for pest control and for top dressing that’s organic that won’t hurt the fish?

That’s great! I’d love to see a bit more detail of the fruit tree barrels. Any links to how they’re built?

Side benefit of growing in living soil in my home. I can seal up at night during the dark 12 hrs and the co2 oxygen exchange between the girls and myself equals out as the plants only require 12% of Co2 required during the 12 hr light phase .
The added oxygen in my home during the day gives the hyperbaric effect as I don’t use an unnecessary grow tent . I feel great. Got a pop up 8 ×8 shade unit came with netting
And reinforced where needed as it’s not designed to hang weight . 100 $ . My entire set up cost 1000 . One gorilla 10 x10 is 1250 .I have a small fan that blows the hot air out of the room and it heats my home.

Awesome. I was thinking about aquaponics at one point. If using talapia, there could be potential food if shtf. By his art, it looks like he uses gold fish and koi. How many dies it take for that big set up he has?

I am definitely going to do a dual root zone outside grow in the future. I’ve been using the blue lab great results but I am using it on all my plants so that’s anecdotal. No proof.
