Great informative video as usual! Any chance you know what the specific brand of sea kelp that was used for his test plot?

  2. Cesar Alves on August 8, 2023 at 11:48 pm

How often should this be used ? Bag says 4 times a year but lowes site states it feeds for only 28 days.

  3. Ed Hopkins on August 8, 2023 at 11:48 pm

Thanks! I am in! I am going to buy it for my cold season lawn, but will wait until late August to apply ( I live in Massachussetts )

It hog farmers up north had their land deemed dangerous because they were told that bio waste was very dangerous. High in P faphs (?)
The govt closed down one farmer’s family’s 100 year old huge cow farm and they can never farm or raise animals on their land . They have lost everything. Please research bio waste products throughly Please.

How often would you apply this product and if half your lawn is 6 week new sod 3rd mow and the other half is a hodgepodge of grasses and weeds (hey, it’s green!)… what would you recommend? Also we have had great rains the last few weeks helping to keep everything green and growing.

  8. rory bellamy on August 8, 2023 at 11:54 pm

Sta Green or pronounced Stay Green ?

    Not cheaper

  14. D. Branco on August 8, 2023 at 11:59 pm

So this recommendation over your ⚠HEAT ADVISORY⚠ video, or at least over your cheap 20-20-20 soluble mix recommendation? If so, what’s the recommendation for adding Iron? THANK YOU! and Love the YouTuber family direction also

  15. tom beck on August 8, 2023 at 11:59 pm

"stay-green", not ‘Sta Green" is the pronunciation

  16. GWINE on August 9, 2023 at 12:00 am

Typical Lowes, they don’t even sell it, in Canada. No wonder they are in trouble, up here.

  17. Mike Spring on August 9, 2023 at 12:02 am

Great video, I would also add that the Milorganite covers 2,500 sf. per bag where the Sta-Green covers 5,000 for about the same money.

  18. Patrick Broaden on August 9, 2023 at 12:03 am

  19. Mike on August 9, 2023 at 12:03 am

Can I apply this to Bermuda grass in the NC summer?

  20. Dale W on August 9, 2023 at 12:07 am

Have you heard of using Epsom salt to green a lawn. I saw an article on House Digest, it stated for 100 square feet of turf, you use half a pound of Epsom salts. Curious if you have heard of this.

  21. Matt Nis on August 9, 2023 at 12:10 am

Milorganite contains 78 ppm of lead; it could therefore be applied to the field for about 550 years before harmful lead limits were reached.

  22. WeatherNut27 on August 9, 2023 at 12:11 am

Yup, I usually buy 5 bags of Milo, this year only 1. Goodbye Milorganite. And since my soil test says I don’t need phosphorus StaGreen is the Go To now. Thanks George! I was about to buy Humic Acid too.

  23. Adriana Delgado on August 9, 2023 at 12:13 am

Trying to find this online, its not available. I believe they changed the packaging. Link provided will send you item# 4353241. I believe the new packaging is item#5052227. I maybe wrong, but the description and ingredients are the same.

  24. Jesus Herrera on August 9, 2023 at 12:14 am

So is this safe to use in the south heat ?

  25. O A on August 9, 2023 at 12:19 am

Nice collab George I’m subscribed to all 3 of those cool dudes

  26. EM on August 9, 2023 at 12:19 am

Hey man. I’m in Chicago too. Do you recommend throwing this down now along with some sta green liquid aerator from Lowe’s? My soil is compact and I want the nutrients to keep my lean green

  27. Charles O'Donnell on August 9, 2023 at 12:20 am

Lots of nitrogen burn after throwing this on established TTTF at the proper rate in my spreader. Never had any problems with Milo or even Scotts(if i don’t spill) Will avoid this. I wanted some high K and I really wanted to try granulated humic. And the price was right. It trashed a handful of spots. Its unforgiving and ive thrown down quite a variety or granules. Sta clear.

  28. Lester Walker on August 9, 2023 at 12:21 am

I used this about 2 weeks ago. It really works. Bermuda lawn is doing great in 90 degree heat.

  29. Tundra Guy on August 9, 2023 at 12:22 am

    it’s pronounced Stay-green……

  30. SuperSaltydog77 on August 9, 2023 at 12:26 am

I like the original Milorganite (the black bb’s) around my garden, it has an aroma that many animals just do not like. The groundhogs were eating up my green beans, but using Milorganite keeps them away

  31. K B on August 9, 2023 at 12:26 am

Thanks for all the info on the new fertilizer. My soil is lacking in Phosphorous so is a requirement for me and Hosta growers like using Milorganite because it helps with deer pressure.

  32. FreedomRock44 on August 9, 2023 at 12:26 am

MILORGANITE IS FULL OF PFAS AND PFOS!!!!!! Not in my lawn!!!!!!

  33. Sam Sells Homes on August 9, 2023 at 12:26 am

Quit using milorganite. It has high PFAS (inorganic, forever chemicals) levels and is contaminating your soil, your neighbors soil, and your waterways.

  34. John Gaspar on August 9, 2023 at 12:26 am

So you’re saying that the lawn (grass) has food requirements to thrive, but it will survive in sickness on bad food as well. Hmm, Where else can I apply that rational? That’s what I got from this.

  35. bob o on August 9, 2023 at 12:27 am

Well guess what, I applied an amount of Sta Green to a section of my lawn, and I applied an amount of Sta Green to another section of my lawn, Results- Milorganite section turned green, the Sta Green section burnt the lawn, no more Sta Green for me, big mistake!

  36. BX B on August 9, 2023 at 12:27 am

I’ve heard about THE END of Milorganite for years. I just bought 2 more bags.

  37. Monty Lexa on August 9, 2023 at 12:29 am

I live in Wisconsin and our community, we are NOT allowed to fertilize with any phosphorous.

  38. Natureboy on August 9, 2023 at 12:30 am

But Milo is 32 pounds compared 25 pounds of Sta Green. Milo seems like a better buy.

  39. Steven Lengyel on August 9, 2023 at 12:32 am

Lead and. Arsenic is a big pass for me

  40. Curly Fries on August 9, 2023 at 12:34 am

I’m guessing it is pronounced Sta(y)-Green

  41. Ryan on August 9, 2023 at 12:34 am

I had my chemistry nerd friends look over the sta green label for me and they told me the sea kelp and humic acid data on the bag isn’t enough to make any difference in your lawn and it’s just a marketing gimmick.

  42. Cam T. on August 9, 2023 at 12:35 am

I got off the milorganite train two years ago after getting my first test results back. My phosphorus levels were sky rocket high. There’s only one benefit to using it and that’s that it helps you get used to spreading fertilizer without the fear of burning your lawn, however, it’s not a long term product.

  43. Bill Miller on August 9, 2023 at 12:37 am

George, Sta-Green is pronounced "Stay Green" makes more sense.

  44. Transports.a.k inc on August 9, 2023 at 12:37 am

question my lawn is very low on phosphorus since this bag has zero phosphorus how do I get the phosphorus into my lawn? What can I use?

  45. Lawn Journeys on August 9, 2023 at 12:38 am

    Great content. Thanks for sharing.

  46. Jack's House Hacks on August 9, 2023 at 12:39 am

Can you test if it is soluable to spray?

  47. Gold fish on August 9, 2023 at 12:42 am

3:26 not all humic substances are created equal. Look up doctor Robert Faust from bioAG he has spent a lot of his life studying humics

  48. jimmy d on August 9, 2023 at 12:43 am

Smaller bag and a higher price. Time will tell if it is worth it.

  49. WeatherNut27 on August 9, 2023 at 12:43 am

LMAO @3:03 Awesome sound bite "George"

  50. Chuck Beckler on August 9, 2023 at 12:44 am
