MCCP put the farmer over patients medical treatment by advocating moldy cannabis. Zero patient advocacy. Recreational would allow them to operate with impunity pushing potentially lethally contaminated cannabis on consumers.

    Just make it organic

I don’t think the bill or the Constitutional Amendment will pass
    * The crooks in Columbus mostly oppose the bill since it would negatively impact their dividends from the prison industry.
    ** As for proposed amendment…
There is a solid strong Conservative minority which will vote against it.
Plus… Right leaning Independents will vote against it.
While Left leaning Independents will vote for it… and a solid Liberal bunch will vote for it…
There is a problem… The vast majority of young liberal potential voters ( especially the young men ) will be both over confident of passage and too busy getting high and playing God of War or Call of Duty or Assassin’s Creed or some other game while letting the "other guy" vote.
Of course, the other guy is not voting. He’s playing his game and waiting for the other guy to vote too
And they’ll whine and cry next day when learn it fails by a slim vote. Again.
So… As much as I’d love it to happen and wholly support the effort. I believe it will fail again. For same reason it failed before. Over confidence, laziness, and apathy on part of young liberals.
    Sad.

I’ll just keep buying from Michigan and increasing their tax revenue while Ohio drags its feet.

Ohio Board of Health says it isn’t under their purview. How exactly does a recall on contaminated medical cannabis happen?

Typical Ohio legislature. Money grab state, lawmakers take steps to secure as much of the profits as possible before it ever hits any ballot. Ohio does this with everything coming across the desk. Take fireworks for example, it was illegal to produce, sell or let off fireworks in Ohio for years. They finally eased up on restrictions over time and lastly lifted restrictions on letting off fireworks within the last couple years, if I recall. Ohio was the 49th state to do so…

I live in Michigan. To get to other cannabis "Free States" I must circumvent the entire State of Ohio. I fly over it but If my flight is diverted and forced to land in Ohio, I could be captured. This could mean the remainder of my life in a Ohio state penitentiary or execution. I understand there is a moratorium on cannabis executions in the State of Ohio but I would hate to test the law.

Will not happen with a republican governor, Republican controlled senate and Republican controlled house. You want your legal cannabis? Vote blue. Even if the people of Ohio vote to have it. It’s still needs to be signed into law by the Republican governor. Good luck

  25. Wayne Morris, Jr. on August 24, 2023 at 8:05 pm

    Legalize and collect tax revenue

  26. David Tyrell on August 24, 2023 at 8:06 pm

They really just want to keep charging people for it if they don’t recreationally legalize it at this point 🤷🏽‍♂️.

  30. Nana Nana on August 24, 2023 at 8:10 pm

I really don’t see nothing wrong with it even though I don’t smoke if people can drink alcohol, and it’s legal, as long as they’re of age of 21 and older, as well as cigarettes, no other types of drugs I am against it, but there’s a lot of benefits to it as well they use the thc oil or whatever it call I mean let it be there more important thing to worry about their are other drug killing people and y’all don’t do nothing about it

I understand there are proposals in Ohio for "cannabis camps" capable of housing tens of thousands of cannabis addicts under one roof. Actually twenty-five thousand individuals or 3500 families. The addict must realize if apprehended with the smallest amount of cannabis or the implements used to consume it; not only will they be imprisoned indefinitely but their entire family will face incarceration with an "open sentence". Meaning they could be held for the remainder of their lives. This may be the only solution for what has become a plague on the citizens of Ohio.
