Marijuana is Medical it’s been used medically and recreationally for thousands of years by the Incas by the Aztec by the Egyptians my a lot of ancient tribes/ cultures I blame all of this on President Nixon he knew that tobacco and alcohol have no benefits but since Mexicans and African Americans used marijuana he decided to Bandit it was more racial profiling then anything else if you don’t believe me you can look it up 100% true he was a racis liar I had brain cancer whenever I was in first grade going through risky procedure getting my head sliced open chunk of my brain removed could have and should have left me paralyzed or dead but I really am thankful to be alive but it’s a very difficult I’m visually and hearing-impaired my balance is not good I’m not as strong as I’m supposed to be I’m not as tall as I’m supposed to be because of the radiation and chemotherapy I had to go through hormone injections which were also very risky because I can always form new cancer cells because of it I’m not afraid to put this on here but I do have performance problems because of all of the medication radiation and chemotherapy I’ve went through my entire life let me rephrase that my entire Elementary School learning is extremely difficult because of what I’ve been through if marijuana was legalized for medical and recreational use you would not have to go through all of that stuff but instead of people trying to find prevention’s and cures they only want to treat symptoms and or diseases

again with a known over ten thousand years of human use the most honest thing would be too make it legal and treat it like beer. its a fake moral high ground . and nothing more. and the end result of this prohibition is just a life wrecker for people. for leaders that caused people to freeze to death and thousands having to line up for food . they are looking sad keeping weed a crime. the g o p is going too lose texas if the greed dose not slow down. the use of the legal graft of the lobby by prison corps is why pot is a crime anywhere . the only crime about pot is the prohibition. that causes so much harm in peoples lives.

Milking the justice system is what these politician/corporatists are doing. They robbed us from tax dollars for many years, money that could have been put back into our neighborhoods, medical and schooling. They are morally corrupt, they are the real people deserving of jail time. How many lives have they ruined with the war on drugs

  4. Joseph Duarte on May 27, 2022 at 10:20 am

Come on Texas weed is way less harmless then any other drug out there you can’t die from it it’s safer than alcohol and will make state tons of profit. It’s not like them old days no more you know y’all just want to target the immigrants and fellow colored brothers it’s just weed and crime will decrease as well. All these street people selling drugs risk their lives as well as the ones buying it because it can become real sketchy I already lost couple friends who got shot because he was selling marijuana and other teens robbed him and shot him like all this could’ve been prevented. When buying carts or weed from the street you don’t know what your getting you could be getting laced carts or laced or synthetic weed and like I said all this is just putting citizens life at risk. If you really cared you would’ve made it legal but you care more about the immigrants getting incarcerated because of it. I mean look at all the states around you they all legalized it even Louisiana.

Marijuana should be legal . Over 80 thousand Americans die from alcohol but none from marijuana ever buts it’s illegal. Please make sense of that ?

  9. Danny Boy on May 27, 2022 at 10:32 am

Texas always trying to find a conservative way to legalize it for the sick but what about those that cope with everyday drama. We need to legalize it all the way for recreational use. These so called baptist religious Texas are in the bar and clubs on Friday and sat not to mention others things they do but yet weed for everyday good people is bad .Texas either go big like you say you do or go home.

  10. Tree Beard on May 27, 2022 at 10:32 am

What a joke!! Legalize high doses of thc, legalize growing! Texas your not alone much love from Connecticut

  11. ri mc on May 27, 2022 at 10:33 am

Texas needs to skip the medical and go for the big tax revenues on full legal. They can still get revenues from DUI because people will drive high.

  12. Dirty Bastard Little on May 27, 2022 at 10:33 am

I will be voting against these out-of-touch republicans who are either bought out by Big Pharma or just don’t know anything about the subject.

  15. J B F 4 1 8 on May 27, 2022 at 10:36 am

I will keep screaming this until it is fully decriminalized and legalized…

    Act like an American.
You either own your own body or you don’t.
Consumption of anything voluntary, by and adult is not a crime, and 🖕🏻🤬🖕🏻 absolutely anyone, politician or otherwise who believes someone else has the right to dictate or grant you permission to consume something.

There is no logical, or moral argument you can make to keep cannabis illegal.
ANY politician who doesn’t support legalization, in full, is a hypocrite scumbag.

    Get involved. Force their hands.
End this nonsense reefer madness and bullshit government overreach.
Grow the hell up Texas and show your traitor politicians who is in charge.

    Boots to asses Texas.

My friend Daniel died in the shower from a seizure, he came from Cali where it was legal to medicate and couldn’t bring his meds

i currently drive over an hour and a half for my medication and honestly, im not even worried about legalization. just seems like i wouldnt have to drive so far anymore to me lol i think the excitement of texas actually doing something right is like hoping for a storm of gold bars

  18. Dogbertforpresident on May 27, 2022 at 10:37 am

Many more Texan veterans would probably be alive today if cannabis was legal.

  19. Ashley Conley on May 27, 2022 at 10:37 am

Just legalize it medically and recreational Jesus Christ if they’re over the age of 21 it is their decision in their choice if they would like to consume this product. I don’t hear us having heated debates over alcoholism.

  20. AJB Ajb on May 27, 2022 at 10:38 am

I am all for marijuana but I am sick of the federal government saying it’s okay but not dropping the federal band on it . It’s time to legalize it and stop being stupid . 89 thousand people die from alcohol and not one from marijuana ever but it’s illegal

  21. SKULLY MACK on May 27, 2022 at 10:38 am

Texas Republican Politicians are quite comfortable with the amount of money they collect from jailing mostly blacks and, hispanics for minor weed offenses and, getting the privatized jail kick back cash they set up long ago as well as, continuing their FAKE CHRISTIAN VALUES LIE (EVERY MINORITY FELON CREATED IS ONE LESS POTENTIAL DEMOCRATIC VOTER OF THE FUTURE)… Texans do not have the right to vote for themselves on the issue (IMAGINE THAT) which leaves it to the corrupt racist Republicans who are smoking as they please at the mansion daily. Surrounding legal states politicians are laughing at our elected fools all the way to the bank as they watch their weekend weed tourists pile in by the thousands to spend millions to enjoy what every state with a brain has now accepted…Texas Law Enforcement doesn’t seem to care one way or, the other about weed – They just do the job asked of them by these CLOWNS!

  22. Phillip Saucedo on May 27, 2022 at 10:39 am

They just don’t know 5.0 is the the highest that texas will go so that’s legal u don’t need to use the compassion use program texas is just trying to scam there own peaple

  26. Ashley Conley on May 27, 2022 at 10:41 am

Two states and a whole country that Texas is touching have legalized marijuana in some form of fashion I guess texas lawmakers have decided to miss out on all this money. It doesn’t make any sense and let Louisiana go green before Texas.

  27. E. P. on May 27, 2022 at 10:42 am

No push to keep Texas Republican in state capitol either,
Texas Medical Marijuana Refugee’s want to come home too, till then, I’ll stay in Oklahoma where a man is truly FREE and a vote counts.

  28. Travis OWENS on May 27, 2022 at 10:47 am

God forbid people actually benefit from it! And damn it to hell if they actually get high and become peaceful, compassionate people. C’mon Texas, catch up to the rest of the world please.

  29. Scrimzo on May 27, 2022 at 10:48 am

Why can’t we as a people just vote on whether or not we want it legalized? Why does someone have to decide for us our opinions as a PEOPLE matter more than the opinions of a PERSON

  30. Michael J on May 27, 2022 at 10:49 am

  34. Isaac Flores on May 27, 2022 at 10:49 am

I think marijuana should really be medical Not recreational a lot of y’all don’t understand that there’s a lot more behind marijuana than you think marijuana does cause a lot of problems because of the psychedelic effect and then U got really to understand that when you’re smoking marijuana you’re tripping and not only that you’re tripping you’re messing up your dope means and some people are mentally stable to smoke marijuana and some people are not marijuana ends up causing more problems with your mental state and any other drug because it’s one of the most drugs used and abused more than any other psycho active drug

Honesty is best policy. How many law makers does it take to make lots of money while invested in pharmaceutical companies…when we they move their investment to the better medicine. Also added to all school curricula is of course these new found facts on cannabis world wide consumption, cool cannabis for my disease doctors of the political engine of USA of the world…blessings…m..food as medicine I pray…m

  37. Jona Davies on May 27, 2022 at 10:54 am

Yes! Cannabis is a "GateWay Drug"! A gateway for a better way to enjoy life for hundreds of millions of people. Why is Texas so far behind the curve on this? Totally surprised that the current federal government, being what it is, hasn’t taken advantage of the pot industry yet. Or has it? With a large percentage of the prison population being drug offenses…

  38. B Ford on May 27, 2022 at 10:55 am

These grey haired old men can go kick rocks!!!! It wont ever get legalized as long as these politicians are gettin kick backs from big pharma. These cats gotta die out quick

How about expanding freedom?… Ohh that’s right… The government is not in the business of freedom…. Just slavery…. Land of the fee, home of the slave….

  43. Steven Koski on May 27, 2022 at 11:07 am

Those who are suffering, need to relocate to FL, only medical grade cannabis is legal here, & we have all types. Many medical conditions will qualify you to receive the state’s card. It has to meet medical standards for high quality. Recreational OTC from other states pails in comparison. I love TX, but the antiquated conservative laws, caused me to change & leave. States that have legalized it, even medical, lost Federal funding. But their coffers have grown in revenue 2-3 times richer. Screw the gov’t, live your life your way, even if it means leaving.

  44. RTB9000 alphacentauri on May 27, 2022 at 11:07 am

Evangelical Christians in Texas are fundamentalists, fanatics. It will NEVER F****** happen here. I have travelled the world. I feel shame to tell people I am from Texas, when we have TED CRUZ representing on the global stage. Fanatics, one bible verse away from a jihad.
