If you are a true stoner , you will recognise the (very low) background music…

What about Saint Khizir? The Sufi who is credited with the discovery of cannabis?

anybody who has been up close to a female in flower ready for harvest, with fat sticky buds, deep green in color, gleaming in the sunlight, has beheld a marvelous sight… you can imagine some cave person out hunting and gathering, doing their flintstone duties, only to stumble upon one of these beauties. There is no way any curious cave dweller is going to pass this up… instead this early human is likely to stop and check it out, and think to themselves, "what is this?" in their cave language. At first the cave person notices after touching it that their hands are sticky.. so the cave person does what any other cave person might do and tries to lick it off to get their fingers clean… so the edible is likely the first encounter… Then the first or second, or around there, cave dweller in early history then cuts off a flower, or a bundle with their cave tool and bring it back to the cave… The other cave dwellers would likely be amazed and want to see it, touch it, smell the repelling yet alluring skunk scent, and also lick their fingers clean. There would likely be a jealous cave resident, or even a more superstitious one, who would grab the flower bunch and throw it into the cave fire to stop all the attention. The white smoke would eventually fill the cave and you would likely have the first smoke session among a group, rather than individual… but again, I’ve been eating and smoking marijuana all day and had the energy and creativity to come up with this little story…

Pot smoking? Really? And your channel name is science magazine? Its most commonly referred to as weed or cannibus which is its scientific name, youd think the people at "science magazine" would understand this but I guess not. Apparently science magazine caters towards its confederate viewer base which is weird because those people don’t believe in science.

(Thought bud was found in Egyptian pharaoh’s funerary jars…?) I don’t care if they smoked it or cooked with it, but I do take offense to being told we have to tax it just to repeal it’s being made illegal through corrupt lobbying by certain industries just one hundred or so years ago. And, then, so proud of our taxation of liquor, foisted that model on the rest of the world…just so rich people can get over on the weak & poor, and get them to fund government to pay for their tax breaks. (Disgusting)

They likely breed the plants with highest results like any other plant or livestock. Look at the fungus strains yeast and alcohol production

  8. ghost mantagshome on October 2, 2023 at 10:05 pm

Legend has it that two Scythian priests, Cheechiys and Chongidal, were the originators of the Rite of Passage to the other side, where they were most devout in their "Observations".

    They began in 420BC.

  10. Hot Rod Andrube on October 2, 2023 at 10:12 pm

    They inhaled, deeply.

  11. Apelles_ of_Kos on October 2, 2023 at 10:13 pm

"How deeply they inhaled is a mystery"
If they have to go through the trouble of starting a fire to heat up rocks I’m pretty sure they weren’t wasting it by not inhaling deeply.

  12. Glenn Hubbard on October 2, 2023 at 10:15 pm

    Dopeheads.

How curious, we knew it was used medicinally for thousands of years, but not recreationally.

  15. Rogues Gallery on October 2, 2023 at 10:17 pm

Imagine…being the last person to get stoned.

  16. Castlebrook Books and Music on October 2, 2023 at 10:18 pm

I have North American ice age rock paintings of them smoking something. They didn’t say what but pipes, cigars.

  17. Roscoe Coaltrane on October 2, 2023 at 10:19 pm

Ppl have been smoking it much longer than that. In ancient Middle East and way before the thought of the three Abrahamic religions 3,000-4,000 BCE, not 2500. Ppl worshiped the god/goddess EL (Israel, worshippers of El-pagan). In the temples dedicated to El, there are two alters. One for El, another for her lessor consortium god: ashar. The altar for ashar, they have discovered on the altar, cannabis residue. Yes, the ancient Israelites were pagan and they use to hot box.

Isaiah 65:5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a 🌿smoke in my nose, a fire🔥that burneth 🌿all the day.

  24. Gunk Wretch on October 2, 2023 at 10:24 pm

the Zoroastrians called it Haoma, though they also mixed it with opium and ephedra, where as in the Hindu Vedas etc, similar mixes are known as Soma, or else made into Bhang

  32. Kevin Wilson on October 2, 2023 at 10:33 pm

  33. traildoggy on October 2, 2023 at 10:33 pm

They weren’t just smoking, they were hot boxing. 😁

  34. WestSide KAsper on October 2, 2023 at 10:33 pm

And there’s still other plants that can also be smoked and we still haven’t found out about

  35. Shay1 Lacour1 on October 2, 2023 at 10:34 pm

It’s no mystery they breathed just as deep as we do today…

  36. POTATOEMPN on October 2, 2023 at 10:34 pm

Bill Clinton did not inhale first.

  37. ballistic dan on October 2, 2023 at 10:35 pm

Nonsense. Weeds been burnt for much longer than this.

  38. Old Farmer on October 2, 2023 at 10:37 pm

I betcha it was a bunch of cave men who were trying to stay warm and somebody tossed a little “Christmas tree” on the fire. After the smoke filled the cave and everyone was stoned, they probably ate everything they had!

  39. Boomsterblak on October 2, 2023 at 10:37 pm

There is a study on Afghan Hash, some would have sat 12 years before being..sold/smoked..In the 80’s we were treated to many different varieties of the Afghan hash during the Russian occupation. Some how…the hash made it over here, some say to finance the Mujahideen..Anyway there is a claim the compounds in the hash destroy the chaff leaving higher quality compounds???I myself am experimenting with the making of Afghan(black hash)I have a slab about five years in…is very good.

  40. JayTheMachine on October 2, 2023 at 10:37 pm

    The stoned age!!!

  41. Jeremie Konegni on October 2, 2023 at 10:37 pm

  42. Smokey Treats on October 2, 2023 at 10:37 pm

I thought the oldest evidence was the 5,300-year-old mummy, Ötzi the Iceman, which showed evidence of cannabis use.

  43. Barefoot on October 2, 2023 at 10:40 pm

The Chinese recorded cannabis 5000 years ago In one of the first books ever written

  44. Landcruiser Chewy on October 2, 2023 at 10:41 pm

Imagine finding a big stash and taking it back to the cave. You throw it on the fire and bam, your off to Pluto. Pain relief, energy, sleeping agent, relief from PTSD from when your ex-cave mate was mauled by a Sabre Tooth Tiger, healing salves for the time you made a bed in Poison Oak, etc.

  45. Bignutz on October 2, 2023 at 10:41 pm

Imagine being the first people watching someone smoking weed for the fist time😂

  46. Jeff Arp on October 2, 2023 at 10:41 pm

Ok, here’s a question for the ages. I wonder how many plants they had to smoke before they found the right one? Lol

  47. flyindevil on October 2, 2023 at 10:42 pm

The cannabis used wasn’t necessarily stronger, they could have just used the braziers more often or used more cannabis. Maybe they even made hash or some kind of concentrate.

  48. DocileNature on October 2, 2023 at 10:42 pm

Ok but i wanna try smoking it
