    The choice of nutrient generally comes down to wether the system is closed (recirc) or open (drain to waste). In a recirc sytem you have to worry about PH buffering and having suffiicient elemental content to last the expected life of the reservoir. In a drain to waste system you dont need to worry about PH buffering or the elemental content which remains constant as nothing comes back to change it. The formulation of a DTW nutrient is elementally different to a recirc nutrient.
    I`m not sure why they call it "Boost", it contains all of the calcium and iron so it should be called "Essential" 🙂
