coco coir is def hydro.. & i love it…its amazing the hole living soil debate ,, lol every single way we grow is with inert grow medium weather its super soil or coco coir the only difference is living soil you add stuff in the grow medium that rots leaving bacteria and microbe’s.. but there will never be living soil .. roots intertwine with one another creating networks and etstablesh networks of connected living rooting systems … and two me is the meaning of living soil.

Keep up the hate Scotty! Love the DGC but I wish you’d get a pro-dwc host too.

I still grow Hydro now I use cocoa instead of deep water culture but I do Organics outside inside I found unless I use a giant pot quality and yield are not worth it compared to a 1 gallon Coco on drip

Yoooooo!!!! Most recent batch of orangegasm??? I’m struggling in coco too!!!I lost 3/4 and the one that did make it, isn’t going to make it into the next flower run….I’ve really had to nurse it. No other problems, other than the orangegasm

Making it more difficult than what it is. Most hydro growers do use microbes. Scotty you make it more than what it is.

Good show, guys……Regardless of all the perameters, I do wonder if DWC is worse for the environment.

Nutrifield is the coco i use fresh water washed drenched in cal mag. You do not need to constantly water with calmag haha a pinch if humic acid per gallon of water every watering buffers PH binds to metals chloramines chelstes and unlocks minerals in the soil it FORCES the soil to play nice while giving you tons of carbon so you can load up on K even up to a few hundred ppm!!! Carbon increases the nutrient ceiling.

    🪴👌😎

Yup I have issues popping seeds in straight coco too! Wasn’t sure what was going on at first but then put them in peat pucks and was fine…

  14. Sensi_Mi_Yah on November 3, 2023 at 1:26 am

I started seeds in root riots theybseemed to work ok….

Hydroponics is the best way to grow for me, better quality buds and faster growth.

AHHH Gentlemen I love you. you’re always consistent…i love it. Great topic. after my gosh 4 years, Ive finally got DWC hydro down to a science. The plants just got big n thick fast after a lengthy process of getting the roots to grow out the hydropellet basket, but then its off to the races. and honestly I like it bc I can leave for 14 days (not even a R-Dwc) and the plants will be pretty well as long as you use stable products, for me floraflex, there will still be possibly a +_ 0.5 change in ph, from the desired 5,8. but 5.3 or 6.3 the plants still grow. love yah. lol i wrote this in the first 2 minutes and i see this has all been covered, my bad.

But scotty those nutrient dosers are very popular in the aquarium fish hobby calcium, mag, alkilinity drippers, mainly saltwater, coral growing, funny you also mention chillers, another thing thats very much used in the aquarium hobby. so many similarities, in a way between aquariums and hydro. I forgot to mention if i know someone still doing DWC or hydro a couple gallons of peroxide can save your grow, I swear.always have a lot on hand!
