Cannabis Macro – The Effect of Touching Trichomes

I made this video to hi-light why it is important to handle fresh cannabis with care. Glandular trichome “heads” contain the majority of the plants cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. By popping the waxy membrane of the “heads” you allow the most volatile of those three – the terpenes- to escape.

Handle fresh plants with care. After drying the heads will become tougher and will be less likely to burst.

    I’ve noticed this at my dispensary and I’ve been thinking to myself the whole time my goodness I wonder if they’re just stealing all the heads off the weed before they talk to me. No… The answer is they just spent way too much time touching it
