I have finally stopped using rock wool and peat moss blocks. One thing that makes zero sense to me is, why clones can root in a cup of water. Although when they are in a root cube that is soaked to much they rot? I used to have about a 90 to 95% success rate. The last few times I have tried using rock wool blocks, I had at best 5 to 10% success. I also made an aeroponic cloner and the mister ended up getting moldy and I had to throw them all out. It has become beyond frustrating. I have lost so many killer phenos already. I even had to re – harvest a Cherry Fritter just so I didnt lose it. Took a month to get it back into veg, not only that but it had thrips. So I got to battle them as well. On a positive note it was the 1st time I have ever successfully extinguished them without them reappearing. I have 2 clones of it in water right now and they are both rooting. For 24 hrs I soaked them both in water with Aloe powder concentrate and Ful Power – Fulvic Acid. I have been wanting to try the method you did straight into the soil. I have my next batch of seedlings started so I plan on giving it a whirl.

Just Use a lighter and burn bottom sides of cups no need to cut each cup just grab a lighter

  6. Slaptastraphy on May 31, 2022 at 7:05 pm

This is awesome. You did a great job explaining your methods, and I’ve gotta say – That double cup idea is super clever! That’ll save me loooooads of time! Cheers!

How often do you water them?

  10. Shanee on May 31, 2022 at 7:07 pm

If the leaves start yellowing by day 5, does that mean it is too dry and need a spritz of water? Jus need clarification, cause my dirt appears to be wet still. 😩

Thank you, but what is the substance that you put on the tip? In this covid 19 period, if I don’t have that, how can I get around that?

I been trying to clone native plants. I have tried so many different methods finally I am doing a humidity dome, the wool rock, and 5.5 -6ph water. I cut them at the node like you, but I don’t pull the leaves off or cut them, stick them in to the bottom with rooting compound. Is there any any advice you can give me?

  14. eternal_thru_Christ on May 31, 2022 at 7:11 pm

Do you need that clone solution or is any rooting hormone ok like clone x

  15. Camarie Wallin on May 31, 2022 at 7:14 pm

Never used a stem that long, I’m going to try it.

  16. Walt on May 31, 2022 at 7:16 pm

I’ve failed at cloning with 4 attempts so far. I’m gonna try out your method but I’m gonna try cloning from flowering plants for supercropping (because I’m only in flower currently). So I’m giving your method a try and hopefully I’m gonna kill two learning curves with one stone. I also am sticking them in a tent with 85% humidity because I have no luck with humidity domes.

One quick question , why do most "Cloning vids" tell you to keep them in the dark ???? ….I used to have some skill cloning and somehow seemed to have lost it. I tried over and over in peat pellets , heating pad , in the dark , and had Terrible results ( almost ALL died) ……..And ONE more thing , do you keep them moist ( soil and fan leaves) ALL the time ? THANK YOU Brother !!!

  20. Young Lee on May 31, 2022 at 7:21 pm

Needa train that mother so you can get thick clones off it

  21. CollinsDoesThings on May 31, 2022 at 7:21 pm

One of the best thing about clones is you can clone a clone of a clone and keep going if you wanted to

Trying this tonight will post results thanks for simple demo

  26. DOCUDRAMA on May 31, 2022 at 7:27 pm

It’s actually better to put soil in a bucket add the water to the bucket and stir until soil is moist then plant. No need to water that’s how I do it it last longer

    great vid!

  28. Zeke Griego on May 31, 2022 at 7:28 pm

I’ve been looking for more videos on going directly into soil. I already planted one halfway into a grow bag. Maybe it’ll survive maybe not. I was wondering why you push the stem all the way to the bottom? After initially watering them in, do you occasionally water them? Or do you just mist them? Also do you occasionally dry out the tent to prevent mildew? If not what methods do you take to prevent mildew? Do you have a better success rate with this compared to rockwool? What are your reasons for using this method instead of rockwool. Awesome video, by the way

  29. Marty Party on May 31, 2022 at 7:31 pm

will it work without rooting solution?

How long till you start swing roots?

  38. DOCUDRAMA on May 31, 2022 at 7:48 pm

Why You have so much soil in those cups damn near running out the cup. Guys or newbies you do not need all that soil. Just fill the cup about 70% high

  39. DIRE Loky on May 31, 2022 at 7:48 pm

so what level of humidity is recommended?

  40. Shanee on May 31, 2022 at 7:50 pm

Sooooo fast forward to 2020, saw this video & tried your method. 24 clones planted……………..24 rooted!! Pretty cool. Thanks!

  45. Cody Morgan on May 31, 2022 at 7:52 pm

What kind of water did you use to water the clones????? I heard many different things when it comes to water. I’ve heard people use tap water, well water, distilled, spring.. whatever.. beside all that, what do you use?
