Tried fabric, it took twice as much water because it would run out the side of the pot before watering the soil below. Now if one is just watering not a problem. But when one spend time oxygionizing, using some type of nuts, then getting the pH just right, That’s money, work, time just running out the side of the pot.

Iv been going back and forth between molasses for potassium and soft rock phosphate for phosphorus. And it’s turning out pretty this time.

  3. @looknup6850 on December 13, 2023 at 3:39 am

I feel the same about fabric pots. I have tried both. This run is last for fabric for me . 🤙😎

When water is coming out from the side u do it wrong

You can also use a liquide or powder microbial enhancer like microbial mass/great white, in addition with sugar supplement to feed the microbes. Liquid microbes with the sugar supplement can be used in hydro dwc/soilles/wtv. it keeps bad bacterie out and gives the plants a better nutrient uptake and a over
    all better root development!!!

It’s a LOT easier to keep good bacteria alive then making everything absolutely sterile! Nothing in nature is sterile!

  13. @lyfzameme6822 on December 13, 2023 at 3:48 am

I use an air stone in a closed container with the soil saturated so I never have this problem

  14. @1mouseman on December 13, 2023 at 3:51 am

Maybe look at a perlite hempy bucket. Foolproof hydro

  15. @goodtogrow7774 on December 13, 2023 at 3:52 am

I fill my hydro buckets at lights on every day and that’s it. Getting ready to post this 1 pound auto I just grew. I messed up the bigger one trying an experiment which was stupid because it failed lol.

Greensand is for moisture retention and kelp meal is a natural PGR. They literally have nothing to do with potassium.

  18. @smokeyams8636 on December 13, 2023 at 3:57 am

OMG balls to the face hot??!! Lmao!!!! Grwat points on root rot. That caused me to switch to coco. Almost impossible to overwater in coco because of the drainage. I have also noticed increased growth rates in coco as well. Thank you 420scene!!! 🤙🤙

I wonder what adding a pure oxygen drip through an air stone in the soil or dwc would do. I’m sure someone has tried it lol

  28. @jayhagan8562 on December 13, 2023 at 4:13 am

I’m running in soil and I can see my roots. They’re growing out the bottom of the fabric pots

  29. @budzbuddie7908 on December 13, 2023 at 4:13 am

Bro 🎥 ended at exactly 9:11 sh!t ive been lookin at the clock atleast once a day randomly 4 the last several years and seeing 9:11 hm maybe it means something huh 😂

  30. @daviswilliamson3126 on December 13, 2023 at 4:13 am

Did you just recently decide to switch back to plastic pots. I swear I just saw you saying that fabric pots are the only way to go? I have ran into the same issues. The water just runs out the sides and it dries up super quick up. I always have to water the ones in fabric at least twice as much as the ones in plastic. The roots also do not seem to stretch out as much. The soil in my fabric pots seem to have a bunch of dry spots so the roots do not fill out but stay toward the center.

  31. @mogreenstinson2932 on December 13, 2023 at 4:16 am

Nice video bro let’s get it Michigan here

  32. @flowerpower6809 on December 13, 2023 at 4:18 am

Bro don’t fabric pots provide more oxygen to your roots, and your microbiology? They also reuptake any run-off and don’t waste nutes. Then you have the self pruning aspect. I feel like going back to plastic is backing up.

  33. @Rizik1986 on December 13, 2023 at 4:18 am

With trees and plants planted outside in an area that is likely to flood, the rootball is planted a few inches above the soil line so a few roots are still above water.

Is it possible to water 1 side of the plant so the other side can breathe. Then next water the other side that didn’t get water and the other side can breathe. ???

  34. @Ty-Ger-Woodz on December 13, 2023 at 4:19 am

Painting your soil pots white helps, white as a color deflects light while black absorbs so depending your situation painting your pots will help with the problem. If u want to test it wear a white shirt and black shirt on equality warm and sunny days you’ll notice the difference

My first grow has turned out to be a success. With 420’s advice I have grown some dank shit. Silica and other ammendments really made a difference. I used michroniza and seabird guano. Recharge. In my 5th week of flower.

  41. @zentatonic on December 13, 2023 at 4:27 am

Funny you mentioned the plastic pots man. I just like that you can pour your meal right on there and let it sink in evenly. Instead of watering for 5 minutes so it don’t pour out the sides. Hope you’re feeling ok today man.

  42. @randyshaw4191 on December 13, 2023 at 4:29 am

  48. @iaintonhere1176 on December 13, 2023 at 4:34 am

Hey 420 Scene, I found a helpful video I came across a from WTTGT, on how to make it so the water DOES NOT leak out the sides of the fabric pots. The way he does it, the water drains out of the bottom like it supposed to. If it’s ok with you I can link the video, but just want the ok first. ✌️

  49. @krzysztoflupa2299 on December 13, 2023 at 4:34 am

I like to dig pots into the ground to cover 70% of the height. I fill the hole with sand and stones. I make sure most of the holes in the bottom are slightly off the ground.
