SUPER METH: Tracking origins of super-powered meth as overdoses rise in Pennsylvania

“Chasing the dragon” is the term addicts use to describe seeking that next high. Authorities are seeing more and more of that with methamphetamine.

They fear this powerful and dangerous drug could lead to a new wave of addiction and a public health hazard.

In a country that is still recovering from an opioid crisis, law enforcers are starting to see the emergence of super-powered versions of meth. They believe 95% of it is produced in “super labs” in Mexico.

Dealers find the psychostimulant more profitable and easier to distribute. Users are getting a quicker, more robust high. And that potency is killing people.

“What we’re seeing is very pure crystal meth that is coming from south of the border. It is very inexpensive, it is very pure, and it is very deadly,” said Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele.

Actually the only thing that can probably reduce the possibility of all the death paranoia and psychosis is another dangerous drug that can be misused or abused and is commonly known to be used to exploit people for others gain(bleakly put)

    🧛 spooky

  26. @HeAD-CRuMBs on December 20, 2023 at 2:47 am

    You’re idiots.
"Chasing the dragon" is a metaphor used when referring to opiates only.
It’s derived from the old days of people smoking opium at Chinese opium dens.
Hence the use of word, "Dragon."
It has absolutely zero to do with methamphetamines.

  27. @user-on1qh7ju1j on December 20, 2023 at 2:48 am

Theres no meth overdoses, something is mixed into it.
The only reason they dont like meth is because the loser citizen can have a happier life than the hardworking high achiever for less than thirty bucks
when it was pure everyone remembers it, you did a little had fun went to sleep
the stuff out there now isnt meth its poison and the government is making it

  28. @jessicahay9305 on December 20, 2023 at 2:51 am

Chasing the dragon is a phrase from like 90 years ago referring to smoking opium.

  29. @shawnmccormick6381 on December 20, 2023 at 2:51 am

Hey normies, overdose in this context doesn’t mean death. It’s bad stuff, but get informed. It just means psychosis can happen without lack of sleep. Know the enemy. Don’t add fear. They were likely polyaddicts that were using other substances as well. Either way, all statistics are unreliable.

Most of these drugs are being traded on the street by police and their informants. The police are the biggest dealers in Spokane, Wa. It’s shameful.
