Don't Make This Mistake When pH Adjusting Plant Nutrients…
In this video I quickly talk about (and show) a common mistake when pH adjusting a plant nutrient solution. If you enjoyed this video please click that thumbs up button 🙂

no need with organic nutes
Ive always thought it dilutes when its mixed with all that water? No?
🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯🤙🏻👌🤙🏻
I am so happy that i randomly found this video scrolling around. I just ordered ph+ & – and start using it tomorrow 😂. Thank you sir
Is the chemical reaction mentioned causing your nutrients to precipitate (turn solid)? Which would render them useless? I’ve noticed with my regular water and I’m adding in my silica liquid as the 1st thing, I immedialty get precipitate at the bottom and not sure why. There nothing else except H2O to react with. Anybody know why?
Another pro tip buy powdered ph up and down
Thanks for the tip
Super quick and raw video for you today. Nothing fancy here, just wanted to get the message out to those of you putting pH up/down directly into your nutrient solution. Adding pH up/down directly into the nutrient solution is a mistake that I’ve made before and I don’t hear many people talk about this crucial step. Here is that video by Everest Fernandez that I spoke about within this video-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5vLME0N-54

Is adjusting ph before mixing nutrients pointless as the nutrients themselves adjusts your ph ?
I bought your book and I’m waiting for it in the mail, until then I’m listening to your videos. Thank you
explains why i see cal/mag deficiency. thanks man
I use only PH- (down) as my tap water is around 7.2, two different ones, one for growth, one when it starts to bloom. When I add nutrients and boosters, PH stays as it was. I use HESI
Thank you for this video this explains what I’m going through right now
I use baking soda for up and lemon juice for down with no problems at all
Your actually meant to add pH up or down before mixing your nutes
I use lemon juice, the only direction I ever need to go is down, lemon juice is perfect the plants love it
Awesome brotha thank you 🙏🏼☺️💪🏼✌🏼 great how you’ve gone organic now and your last grow looked excellent! 👏🏼 what was the quality of flower compared with synthetic? I’d love to know. thanks.
Old video however never use ph UP no matter the ph use microbes
citric acid
Thx Bro!!
that’s what some have said, but after 35yrs, I’ve NEVER diluted, always mix a concentrated 5gal bucket 60ml each of A + B and 30ml of each micro nutrient needed for specific week….from my concentrate bucket , which is ALWAYS mixed to factory recommendations , I DIP FROM CONCENTRATE AND ADD TO FRESH BUCKET OF WATER TO PROPER PPM FOR WEEK BEING FED AND IF GROWING IN SOIL, MUST USE PH UP TO 6.4 , FOR BEST RESULTS…..I HAVE YET TO SEE A NUTRIENT VIDEO DETAILING THIS PROPERLY WHEN MIXING NUTES……AND IS EXACTLY WHY EVERYONE SAYS DO NOT FOLLOW MANUFACTURERS FEED CHART…….DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD PAY FOR ALL THAT SCIENCE AND THEN LIE ON THE BOTTLE TO SELL MORE PRODUCT ?????…….ITS MOST NEW GROWERS DONT REALIZE WHAT AN EC METER IS , OR A PH METER, LET ALONE THE VITALITY OF ABSOLUTELY NEEDING IT TO GROW PROPERLY, UNTIL WELL AFTER THEIR FIRST YEAR OR 2……..THATS WHEN ALL THE MAGIC HAPPENS……LITERALLY
Hey man could you revisit this on a grow talk. Maybe like chemical reactions with nutes. You could talk about the ph cloudy again. Also include proper silica mixing so you don’t make sand. And I also know about calcium locking out phosphorus or potassium if mixed in the wrong ratios. I’m trying to think of any other reactions to be aware of but I’m sure there’s alot. Didnt you settle that phing is fine for microbes. But I think you get the jist, I think this would be a great topic.
Thank you man that really help because I really didn’t know that. I will do that for now on
False. Scroll down – D sitzes hit the nail on the head. Basic Chem. But basic chem isn’t a school requirement sooooo, here we are. No worries, still love ya 🙂
This is incredibly helpful and the first time I’ve heard this thank you
Comment 420 yaaaaaa
good vid mate
Nice little tip 😁
Hi Chris, I’ve made this mistake and seen the cloud with PH Up. What does this effect and do I need to throw this out and mix a new batch?
Like it, direct movie. No messing.
Another tip is don’t use cheap Amazon ph pens. They’re always way off
Excellent info like usual 👌 I will start doing this as I was doing it wrong before.
Do a video how you mix your blue planet please. There’s not a lot of videos for it plus you’re the only YouTuber I trust lol
Great tip 👍
dude, excellent 💯💯💯
To me, this makes it a lot more difficult to buffer the PH of the nutrient solution bc it’s in a full gallon of water.. you can only add so much water+PH solution to an alrdy filled gallon of nutrient solution..overflowing? Maybe there’s something I’m missing or not understanding ?
Nice
How do you get the water from the bucket to the plants?
its nice to see someone else doing this ..i just grab an empty water bottle fill it with ro add my PH up/down cap it shake it dump it in the res …oh hey mr canucks in the comments thats awesome!!
Plants don’t know what medium they are in. 6.0 for cannabis all mediums
THIS is why it’s important to watch old videos from people you follow. I have never known this and have been doing it wrong my last 4 grows.
Thank you Chris!!
So amazing love it you rock
Cheers mate.. notice that same white streak in my last 2 mixers n both got a bit frothy. I know y now. 👍🙏🇦🇺
Appreciate it man thank you
I mixed my PH up in a cup of water and then added it to the nutrient solution but I still got the grey cloud effect?
I been using lemon juice and baking soda as a ph up and ph down. Working wonderful
I been growing 20 years not doing this and never had a problem. Never seen a company recommended doing this either.
LOL….WOW…I NEVER heard or knew this…..that reaction, depending, is raising acidity, or neutralizing it….stir it up and you are GOOD-TO-GO…….HOWEVER, I recently learned that both, ph up/down, is BAD , as it kills that , SOON-TO-BE, microbiology, you just created in the bucket….AND that lemon juice/baking soda, may be a better alternative, and may just give your kush a hint of that lemon tang….
Why would you raise the ph? I grow organic in soil and keep my ph always at 6.2/6.3. Am doing it wrong?
HI after years of growing you will know your tap water or reverse osmosis water and know how many drops to add be4 even adding the nuts.A mistake you should never do is mix by accident ph up and down solution…I av added few drops of ph down to a small glass that i had with water to lower my ph…By accident i went more down than i wanted so… i av added a few drops of ph up to the same empty glass…BOOM explosion and i v never seen or heard this from anyone else this 2 if mixed its a BOMB!!!
Hey guys, great content as always! I’m using rain water…2nd week flower. In super soil, as per Caligreen…I’ve seen early signs of cal deficiency…haven’t done any ph corrections. My question is does Calmag change ph? I checked using Apera meter, looks like my mix of molasses and 2ml./gal. Of Calmag drops ph to <5…used GH up to correct to 6….any experience with this? Thank you all in advance!
