Why is my hydroponic nutrient solution pH dropping?
Why is my hydroponic nutrient solution pH dropping?
If you notice that your recirculating hydroponics nutrients pH is becoming more acidic (pH going down) and wondered why the pH is drifting then watch this! Using cilantro (coriander) growing in Grodan gro-wool under an Gavita Plasma LEP270 growlight, we demonstrate how fast growth can place huge demands on your hydroponic nutrients and how to adapt.
a 700$ lamp to grow parsley, how can that be sustainable? grow that under sun and save planet!!!!
Potassium silicate is cheap and hellps buffer pH needs to be added to tank first to avoid precipitation. It will make the herbs more nutritious and hardier too.
I have found at least in dwc,,if your ph climbs you didnt feed enough ,,if it goes down you overfed
cilantro is fucking disgusting
Big dips after changing water
Hello.. I got pH higher than expected first it is 5.9 after two days became 7.3 !! Do you have explain for this? Thank you 🙏
Just add 3 drops klorin for 20liter water and all done
dont u think that u need isolate the nutrient tank from light?
Can the carbonic acid build up in my dwc harm my plants ?
It’s 75% advertising, 25% actual information
Put some holey rocks in your sump and Malaysian drift wood is for ph down
anaerobic bacteria grows more so in neutral solutions of 6.5 and up. unless it is an acidophile.
I hate cilantro!
Wow that means I cannot just add nutrients in krakhi method?
Hey … I just changed my res and got my ph sorted … however … everytime I check the ph keeps falling to 4 and 5 range _ I add ph up but in a day it falls again _ this never happened to me before and I’ve been growing over a year __ this is lettuce in an nft system
Did I understand that correctly that too much oxygen can be the problem?
Thank you so much for the great info!! But this was way too short, please if you can and have the interest, expand on the ph drift and the goal to be sought in hydro nutrient res setup?
Clean/fast/clearly articulated delivery. I am having ph drops over night of
up to 2 points. I have been adding ph↑ at first just straight into res, then saw that can lock out nutes, so put ph↑ in qt of water add it that way, still turns res cloudy, I believe I read somewhere thats nute lockout.. Plants are growing ok but as a retired tech guy.. I am a little.. ok, a lot.. compulsive about everything. If any of this strikes a note, drop me a line, tell me how I’m mucking this up. THANKS, Montana PS, running sterile res, without cooling on this run. Over all they look great.. A little leaf tip burn on the biggest one, but these plants will deliver. Oh, and I had thrip attack. SO, 2 treatments of neem oil a month ago,
no joy, the wet applied D.E. right as flowering started. Ok, I’m done. TNX
I’ve enjoyed some of your videos – however, I wish you had a website or blog where I could read more about this – you talk way to fast to follow along and learn by . Sorry – no insult intended, I’m sure someone who is as experienced as you and already knows all that you are talking about, would be able to follow along – but that’s not me….so on to other teachers I guess…
What happen if you’re ph is going up?
is that grow wool the same as mapito cubes?
Ok so today guys we’re gonna talk about why your ph is dropping. First tho check out this cilantro
Love the content 1❤
thanks for the reply I have just check its below 5.5 should I leave it or change my water and nutrients?
:36 I thought you were separating weed nuggets in the top left! LOL
I have a 30 gal Reservoir which is used to Aeroponicly feed 80 cannabis plants. I’m constantly fighting PH drop as the Reservoir drops and the ppms rise . I don’t know wether to add water, dump and make a new mix, or something else. Help.
4 weeks …… Really 4 weeks…..?
Hi,what do you think about a wilma system running 247 with pebbles?should an air pump be added or system off during lights off??,would an air pump cool the rez ?
Reverse osmosis water makes that little difference it not worth investing in.
jews really like cilantro
Cool moving light
fuck me are you a speed freak, take a chill pill and slow down
Hey Everest, love your videos
I have a cannabis plant who’s ph is swinging down but its EC is also trending down. It seems to be eating nutrients but maybe just the alkali ones? Is there some resources I can find that explains ph and nutrient uptake more thoroughly? Also what PPM scale do you use and why do you use ppm instead of EC?
Chutney.
My ph in the reservoir keeps increasing can u please suggest something to keep it stable at 5.8ph
So I can get a light mover and a DE, Drop it like it’s hot, and my plants will be happy because the light doenst hang around too long for the heat to cause a ruckus? Allllll those wasted microtons or photomoles or whatever they’re called, can be utilized?! Shut the front door! Can you confirm this? I don’t want to be bothering people on Facebook to ship me stuff if I’m not sure. But I’m excited, you may have just saved me yet another layer of efficiency. Where have you been all my life?! Ha!
TWO WORDS…. FUCKING THANKS!!!!
More food for thought ::: If you are watering through soil that is actively breaking down, the humic acids from the soil breakdown make the runoff more acidic. More importantly, your nutrients might not be pre-chelated. Nutes chelate via their positive and negative ion sites that attract ions, which attach to other nutes via side-chaining and more importantly, they attach to natural chelates like amino acids that attach to protein transports that carry the nutes from the roots to the canopy. If your water is becoming more acidic, it is because your nutrients are stealing positive cations in order to chelate, and leaving behind runoff high in negative anions. Relatedly, as nutrients break down into smaller pieces (catalyze) eventually they become ions as well. Nitrogen will break down into Nitride anions, which are negative, and create a more acidic pH.
Why my ph drift down.. uses salty gh nutes. 😂
$999?!? That’s some expensive cilantro.
I never knew Youtube charges airtime by the second. Why so fast bro?
bro have you tried using hg biothrive?
oi too much info jeez
can u do a ph rising video
Talking faster than crack cocaine addicts deluxe daah.
It’s a freak commercial..
Huh wonder if this might be why my tomatoes keep dying….a single tomato in my aerogarden and the ph drops after a week from 6 to 4.5 over night…
How do I lower my pH without raising my EC level I have a natural 7.2 PH and a natural .2 EC but when I add my pH down either a hydroponic pH down or lemon juice or even vinegar my EC level Goes way out of whack I’m only trying to get my EC’s at 1.5 or 2.0 Max how do I do this
Hi there. If I went down the hydroponic route rather than the aqua phonic route. Are there organic chemicals you can use (that’s if there’s such a thing) 👍👍👍
Tell us you grow weed with out telling ys
