Florida NORML activist explains how legalizing recreational pot could get on 2022 ballot

A new survey shows a majority of Floridians are in support of it, but organizations are still concerned it may not make the ballot in 2022. It’s been nearly a decade since Colorado and Washington become the first two states to legalize recreational marijuana. Now, it’s legal in 18 states, including the District of Columbia and Guam. Many hope the Sunshine State is next.

“This is not a partisan issue. Across the political spectrum there is a majority of support,” Suncoast NORML Chapter Executive Director Chris Cano said.

A recent survey by Public Policy Polling, shows 59% of Floridians support legalizing recreational marijuana compared to 31% of people who oppose it. Despite the majority of support, Cano says getting an initiative on the ballot hasn’t been easy.

“Why is there this disconnect between public policy and what people want and it really does boil down to the other forces at work that our representative government have at play,” Cano said.

The only reason you’re not doing it is because doctors are making $100 a person plus the places they’re making money on you coming in there to buy this stuff for over inflated prices for not even regular halves and ounces you can’t buy it’s all political at one point it was illegal to sell the stuff now it’s damn near legal and they still want to have their hands in it as long as local government and big governments got their hands on everything and everyone you’re never going to get anything done they’re all a bunch of cheats and rotten eggs if you ask me all of them are on the take just about all of them I don’t think all the senators and governors are only take but there’s quite a few on the take

Florida Supreme Court doesn’t know how to serve the people. I hope their building is demolished and a new Happy Hippie order is restored. I hate old fake cranky people not allowing me to be relaxed. I hate them so much.

After almost 75 years of the enforcement of lies by politicians and police they really should understand they have ruined thousands of peoples lives over a plant. Or maybe they do know and have known all along and just don’t care. Which one do you think it is?

When I was in Vietnam in 1967 thru 1968 I smoked more weed than Tommy Chong. Heck I am now 73 years old and it didn’t kill me or make me kill anyone other than the enemy.
I quit smoking MJ in 1977 because I got married and she (My Wife) didn’t like it. In fact I put a couple of seeds in her flower bed. When see seen them she thought they were weeds. So I thought then, if I am going to be a pot head I am going to have a rough life. So I quit… TRUE STORY

The police department uses marijuana smell as probable cause to search people’s cars and they don’t want that power removed. It’s all about power nothing more.

Imagine the savings for Americans, not paying for all the bolony men and women go through in the courts and prison systems!
Open up the prisons and let those go that have lost their lives to these riduculous laws!
Start giving drunk drivers stiffer laws to face, our system is bass ackwards!!

Florida Governor and Supreme Court wants teens and adults to do pills, tobacco, and chug 40% henessey. But I can’t buy a $100 blunt without a K9 Cop on my tail 🙃 I better not hear about a single Florida school having a budget cut.

    POT FARMER SONG 2022 $$
I got out my pipe stuffed it with pot
You better believe it held a whole lot.
I whipped out a lighter thumbed up a flame
Sucked down that smoke which comforts my brain.

    I tried alcohol smoked cigarettes
They did nothing but give me regrets.
My mom had arthritis could not walk around
I rolled her a joint she danced on the ground.

I thought I was losing my lovemaking knack
After I smoked some to me it came back.
Soon I decided prices were high
I searched for some ground I wouldn’t have to buy.

I bargained for seeds from smokers all around
Got in my truck and drove out of town.
I walked through the woods where wild birds nest
Found me the meadow I thought was the best.

I dug up the ground sowed all my seeds
Said a small prayer for strong, healthy weeds.
I watered at night with a five-gallon pail
Mosquitoes went hungry for I wore a veil.

Seven months went by; I thought I would die
Till the Halloween moon was high in the sky.
At night I went out, in a camouflage suit
Used my corn knife to chop down the loot.

I hung it up to dry where it couldn’t be found.
Came back and got it, when it had turned brown.
I trimmed off the buds, stuffed them in bags
Called all my friends and passed out free drags.

In less than a week my crop was gone
I flew to St. Thomas with a love hungry blonde!!

We just want the right to grow , shops can be a thing , but not needed.

Lets stop the black market and greedy business people with a single law.
