Do you run a chiller with a sterile system? I’m about to buy a sterilizer but don’t know if you need a chiller. Room has a split btw. It stays on during the dark cycle but shuts of at 6:00pm when the sun goes down and the light turns on.

Hi guys, instead of blowing money on UC roots, Hydroguard, H2O2 or even calcium hypochlorate, try copper pipe caps from home depot. Copper kills bacteria and microorganisms extremely quickly and you can google this to verify many diff sources to confirm this, including the EPA. The same electrical conductive properties of copper breaks the cell walls and basically short circuits microbials and is effective against resistant bacterias and fungus spores. But… you have to use it preemptively; not when you already have a major outbreak.

Thanks for taking the time to do this video, I really apprecite it. I have lost 3 monster plants just from doing water changes due to root rot. This will be a game changer for me. I really didnt want to quit DWC and go back to soil or ebb and flow just because I couldn’t figure it out. I will be ordering this UV lights and flter combo today.

UV after filtering the filters can produce bacteria inside from your clear covering on your filters and they do get used every day. UV LAST

Hey there, know the vid is a couple years old but I built an aero system and used the same white irrigation pipes that you have connecting your buckets. Well turns out that it lets a shit ton of light through and caused root rot. Black piping fixed it.

I use HTH poolshock and can make 1000s of gallons for 8 bucks and clean my res twice per grow not sure how bad your water is but I’ve had zero issues in 5 grows and pure white roots. Its the same as UC Roots but cost me pennies to make. Grow easy bud

Ur doing a good thing man keep going thanks for sharing my plants are turning like wite real slow but I never had this it seen so easy till now I have my client right next to it and they keep going soons I put them in five gal then they do good for a little then start doing it again the next thing I’m trying is not moving from difrent lights maybe they get use to it cause the one is blue and the other grower choice is wite and red

Really great video. Pythium is killing my hydro efforts right now. Question.. Do you have reverse osmosis system or just filters? I need to do quick changes of water in my DWC system and noticed that some RO systems can’t filter water quickly enough to do a quick res change. I’m also trying mycostop and UC roots combo to get rid of this stuff. Have you tried Mycostop before?

Doing Hydro i assume your using RO water anyways…problem solved,,, i perfer hyroguard, UC roots breaks down to fast in warmer water have to use it like 3 times a week

Great videos.. I don’t grow weed yet but… with my lettuce I’m dying trying to fight off pythium. It’s driving me nuts! Question.. you use a filter on your main water source but not reverse osmosis filter right? So, UV then a filter to your main supply line to the growing area right? Plus UC Roots to protect a bit..

What green line are you usinging to connect into John guest fittings? All the pupe I can find is that shit rigid pipe that pig tails even when you bend the shit out of them.
