Hi, I’m Steve Walser and we are on Buddy Boy Farms which is part of our larger organic farm Willow Wind Organic Farms. We’re sitting just outside Ford Washington right along the Spokane River. Where my farms lies right up above the river in a little micro climate here.
My wife and I have been organic farms for 40 years. We’ve got quite a large organic farm. At one point we were doing close to 7000 acres under irrigation. DJ approached us when the initiative was passed and asked us if we’d be interested in growing with him. I thought it was a good idea. Thought about it for a few days and said sure lets do this. So we started indoor, did serval thousand square feet indoor. Then when the season came around we put in our full canopy outdoors and this is our second grow cycle that you are seeing now. Along with the drying technology and the trimming and the use of your machines. And harvest was something I thought a lot about. Being a farmer, I realized that you have a very limited amount of time during the proper season to harvest what is a lot of weight here. We’re talking all the leaf and all that there’s probably 7, 8, 9 tons of material that we’re taking though the building.
I right from the beginning liked the EZTRIM machine. It is gentile on the product, caught the Kief afterwards, and it wasn’t so noisy. Most of them are so darn loud that you can’t think around them. So we liked that aspect about it. And we liked the quality that came out the other end.
We have a lot of different trimming methods. We’ve done some dry trimming. We used the EZTRIM for Dry trimming. In fact we started out we bought a specialized dry trim machine. But after we saw that way it worked why wouldn’t the EZTRIM work. We talked to you guys and were able to get a grate that seemed to have improved the process. We found the EZTRIM worked as well or better than anything else really for dry trimming.
Well for certain varieties that the buds tend to be dry ad Gods Gift is one and others where they’re not a sticky bud the Kief that comes out. Your machine with its 4 different mesh bags will sort the leaf that gets cut off from the Kief. To where we get to those bottom 2 bags and we’ve got some pretty nice Kief. Particularly the bottom bag. We’re saving over a pound of Kief a day when we’re in harvest of those varieties where it works. The Kief alone pays for all the labor for trimming. So it’s a nice deal. Would love to know if there’s any way to finance a payment plan on one of these machines. I’m part of a cultivator’s group and we’d love to have one but the price tag is pretty steep for our current output until we expand further. Otherwise, the product looks well worth the price.
