DIY Cloning Machine: Two EASY Ways to Build a Propagation Station
Instead of buying one of those expensive cloning machines for your plant propagation, try these designs out! These types of diy propagation stations are simple and inexpensive to build.
In this video, we’ll talk about a design that uses air stones only, as well as a design with a submersible water pump with a 360° sprinkler head to get the job done.
I like both of these styles better than building an intricate PVC network and attaching sprayers to it, because they basically perform the same without the need for all of the extra parts.

Now I know the difference between the spraying method vs the air stone method. I had watched another video the other night on the sprayer method and thought it was cool – they built it theirs differently than you did using PVC pipes and different sprayer nozzles. But I liked that you demonstrated both method and I loved that you drew pics of both at the beginning to help us visualize.

can you flower with just the air stones or do you also need it to have drip lines to feed once a day from the top? i have a system with air stones and drip lines but the pump that goes to the drip lines i kinda need to pull it off and have it recirculate the water in the res tank to not have the nutrients clog the air stones so i wanted to see if i could get away with not using the drip lines to feed once a day or is it really needed to feed the plants from the top? mmj plants.
Do I use nutrient water in this?
Will this method for roses?
Air has less parts no need for a timer for the air pump and is more set it & forget it style 😎 also water pump can heat up the water so weighing the pros&cons air is the way to go also personally only use water straight old tap water because after many different approaches i found less is more over my years of experience,now maintaining 98-99% return on all my roots with zero additives so to maintain&master the basic setup go from there & avoid doing more than you need where ones patients will teach you to see what’s best&cheaper or generally makes more sense,good luck…not that its needed if you do It right 👍.

How this video only has 45k views in two years is beyond me. Probably it’s just a bit too engineered for most gardener personality types, and they wouldn’t consider the need to have a few clones on hand at a given time.

That is a great alternative for propagation station.
I love this Idea to keep water quantity lower. I will have to pack the water up and down stairs so looking to minimize. Question: Can this idea be used to fully grow my plants through their life cycle? I plan to grow tomatoes, beans, peas, etc. I would assume a timer would be needed but is this a bad idea all together?

2 things you missed one do you use a dome for humidy and also the lightshow much light and how close to clone
.. Would you PLEASE do s video on care or/ propagation of Monstera Adansonii….?? aka "actual" swiss cheese plant/ vine….. I have one and i adore the nature of it, but I just cant’ seem to keep this one plant happy despite doing so well now with 90% of all my other house plants… Ironically, a struggle plants for me also is the supposedly "easy" spider plant…. I am now suspicious if the two might be similarly watering sensitive..( soil type/ makeup depending of course….??" I get ends of old AND new foliage turning brown and dying.. seems to happen no matter how i attempt ot shift the watering… ugh I am so frustrated.

thanks for Video , Looking to make one with 3-4 inch holes and sponges for larger cuttings, such as Monsteras, Larger philodendrons etc. All the maufactureres only do 2 inch holes and sponges for tiny cuttings. Any ideas, for one that will hold larger sponges and plants without falling in?

I love you’re diy set up videos.. I’ve been following you for at least a year now for just my house plants stuff, as i nearly doubled my houseplant capacity during down time at work / initial quarantine times… but now, i’m giving cannabis a go, and the cuttings are definitely a bit touchier to root than your average pathos ( aka fool proof propagating houseplant..)
How often does the water pump or stone need to be on . Or its constantly on for 2-3 weeks

Could Camellia be got roots this method ?.
I 3d print my own net cups but i leave the bottoms completely open so the roots are easy to remove and not down inside the small holes in the bottom of the net cup. Great video!
I could show you how to do this for $40 it would be better quality and hold 9-12 plants and net pods are trash for transplanting
cut the bottom of the net pots off so u can transplant them to another setup an roots dont get entangled in the net pots. No growing media is needed also . This can also be made with a airpump with a water level right below the stems like a oxycloner

What about if I used a 2.5 gallon bucket with the same width as a 5gallon for the lid .. and went the air stone way .. would that still work out . Almost like a mini version of this ?
From what I’ve heard you want the stem of the plant in the water. Is this not true?

I wish I had a clone much that has a keyboard so it can make clones a soft things and plastic things.
What size drill bit do I need to make the net pot holes. Are those 3 inch net pots? I can use 2 Inch and do more right
