'No more fear': In Mexico's 'cannabis garden', users welcome decriminalisation

In a park just steps away from the Mexican Senate, people openly light up joints and inhale from bong and attend to flourishing #cannabis plants. Called Plantón 420, the area was created by activists last year as a safe space for people to enjoy #marijuana. Now, following a landmark Supreme Court ruling to decriminalise recreational marijuana use on Monday, those who frequent the park are hoping they no longer have to live with the fear of arrest or social stigma that can come with indulging their habit.

It’s honestly a neat urban thing if u are into it. Tons of people gather from all walks of life at certain points throughout the city to get high and you talk to and meet new people. It’s pretty great but this is still not fully legal. That’s where the fight continues.

That goes to show that it doesn’t matter what the laws in the books say, people are going to do what they want.

Hell yeah! The cartel culture left a bad image on weed. Weed was always a part of Mexican culture. One of Mexico’s biggest exporters in the 70s-90s. Glad to Mexico it finally want to make money off it legally
