Do led's Create phosphorus deficiencies?

Do led's Create phosphorus deficiencies?

Do led’s Create phosphorus deficiencies?

Have you ever paid attention to the purple petioles in the plant when growing with LED’s?

I think because the the light are so strong the it creates phosphorus deficiencies.

LED’s are better lights then HID’s and will require more.

I have new growth that is a purplish red on a couple plants but seems to fade to normal green as the leafs grow.there is a little bit of purpling on some stems as well.I chalked the purple stems off to either cold or type.but I’ve read if you have to many sugars that it can turn new leaf a purplish red color.

  4. @78schoolboy on February 24, 2024 at 7:16 am

I would love for you guys to show us what type of ppm when you use 1 of the new citric acid and baking soda co² generator . Just so I know how much it really puts out I am sure it does better then the bags do. Anybody that has seen anything where they test some of those please shoot me a link

First thing everyone needs to do when they see a defeciency is to check ph always.

Hey man so I picked up some drops of balance. AND I’ve noticed it’s a really great ph down I was wondering if I could use that as my ph down would that be ok??

  11. @cornbreadbrown4961 on February 24, 2024 at 7:26 am

the car analogy would be fuel, air and spark.. as you increase 1.. you must increase the other 2 equally.. but you were on the right track. lol

i had the same issue with the yellowing of the entire plant and purple stems. i took (fresh and day or 2 old) banana peels, chopped them up. took 2 cups of water (for every 3 whole peels), i heated the water in the microwave. then put the chopped up peels into a mason jar or whatever and pour the water into the jar. let it steep till it cools, strain and feed the water straight into the plant. you should see results in a few hrs. can be done daily or every feed till the darkness of green is desired.

I think leds hurt my eye extremely bad. The 460nm blue and 660 reds and the in betweens.

  16. @OrganicGreens on February 24, 2024 at 7:28 am

Those mushroom bags are pointless. I tried them and they literally did nothing to the co2 levels. You would be better off with yeast and sugar and even that is stupid. Get a co2 burner or tanks or run air exchange.

  17. @jeremyhula931 on February 24, 2024 at 7:28 am

I’m with you on the flat Earth, bro.

  18. @MichaelRainabbaRichardson on February 24, 2024 at 7:30 am

Has nothing to do with light "type". It’s all about ppfd and spectrum. Initially, "led lights" lacked sufficient IR. That’s addressed by many newer models and beyond that, the only generalities you might make are that led lights often have better coverage and so "penetration", especially with sufficient IR/FIR.

To make these conversations more meaningful, they need to be focused on a spectrum graph, ppfd distribution grid, and environment including CO2 levels. When you’re looking at that information, the type of light is completely irrelevant because you see everything the plant cares about. Averages don’t tell the whole story either because your grow likely has a daily-cycle with highs and lows that matter as much as the "average environment", each encouraging deficiencies or optimums at various points in that cycle. In hydro/aero, there are also reservoir cycles with their own lows, highs and averages.

PulseGrow Pro can take ALL those readings and isn’t absurdly expensive for someone really wanting to understand their grows.

  21. @Alejandrosgrow on February 24, 2024 at 7:34 am

You will no longer have bleached buds once you increase the co2! When you amp things up accordingly you most certainly need to have your co2 up to par! The difference is dramatic

  22. @violetphillips6148 on February 24, 2024 at 7:34 am

    Good microbe community produces co2.

  23. @dude9127 on February 24, 2024 at 7:34 am

lack of phosphorus appears violet on stems and not on the petiol of the leave. that’s not the same but the main problem why many people are confused. violet petiols are mostly a sign of sun burn, which is often caused since LED are just in a close to the plants. you can check this when watching at petiols not affected (or where not recently) by direct straight light. they’re mostly green or at least less violet. additionaly it is a matter of genetic.

  24. @tonyoliva8488 on February 24, 2024 at 7:36 am

I absolutely agree with you. Phosphorus tends to be an issue the more intense the leds are run. I found a calcium phosphate really helps. First I tried a bioavaible bone meal from nectar for the gods. The effects were crazy. This unbounded calcium is a huge nutrient buss with 8 total receptor sites. Bring up not just the calcium and phosphorus but everything else that it passes through. It actually made everything more available and I started to get a little nutrient burn. The following round I’m amending a fish bone meal and calphos. Hoping the addition of calcium phosphate simply solves the issue and balances the soil. These additives and increased transpiration through canopy circulation really gets everything firing fast. Healthy strong plants with thick structure and solid bud structure is the byproduct. Dialed in soil and atmosphere metrics really bring the plant to the next level of genetic potential

  25. @ryantrumble4582 on February 24, 2024 at 7:36 am

PPFD DLI levels should be in proper balance to your feeding process. Test and understand what concentrations of feed work well under your lighting gear.
If you’re running a 200-400 watt LED with 1200-1500 ppfd set up, your feeding EC and rate would be less vs running a stronger output with 1500-2000 ppfd.
Would be good to get a leaf analysis to prove the rate of any phosphorus depletion under proper controls: same strain running under a LED vs non-LED set ups.

  26. @buybitcoin69 on February 24, 2024 at 7:36 am

I just got my LEDs in February and I’ve been running for 2 months now and i ran into some magnesium and phosphorus issues during veg got rid of it now I’m in flower and I am running into magnesium issues only now. It is a minor issue it’s not bad I can fix the problem, just noticing that these LEDs do put out more power and the plants i feel want to eat more!

  27. @captainpeckerhead4551 on February 24, 2024 at 7:36 am

I run my lights at the top of the tent all the time an just adjust intensity. I get better results than all the different distances..

  28. @crischalmers1277 on February 24, 2024 at 7:41 am

I have been thinking the same thing about P with the LED lights. I have 6 of the same plant and two other strains that I have 3 clones and 5 clones. I am growing under optic led slim480h. Mars hydro tsw 2000 ts3000. I also have 5 sf2000 and a black sail Cannon. How can I send you pics and maybe if you want to help me to do this experiment.

  29. @TheCheapReefer on February 24, 2024 at 7:41 am

I have to admit my coco is super washed after I’m done but I haven’t been revitalizing it before reusing. Seems like it takes me a while to get back to the necessary nutrition so I deal with a few issues until. The red stems take a long time to disappear n can’t clone them. I’ve also wondered about the led lights being the culprit.

  34. @josephreise8502 on February 24, 2024 at 7:47 am

Save up your money and buy a CO2 tank you’ll thank me later

  35. @cannafarmer on February 24, 2024 at 7:47 am

I use dry amendments but i use bacteria that unlocks phosphorus during stretch. Resluts are good, crazy roots. Then i got to a potassium/phosphorus bacteria post stretch. I also have colorado compamy worm castings a loving soil cheat code

  36. @MikeJones-mf2rt on February 24, 2024 at 7:48 am

Similar to with steroid users – a lot of guys take inhibitors on cycle to avoid aromatase at all costs because they’re scared of gynecomastia, but it just bites them in the ass with horrific estrogen deficiency and results in the entire endocrine system spiking and dropping horribly trying to self-regulate hormone levels. When one thing increases, but everything else doesn’t, it creates very minimal and temporary gains immediately followed by horrible imbalance screwing everything up. Counter-productivity at its best to only pay attention to one thing at a time.

  37. @dwang79 on February 24, 2024 at 7:50 am

you need calcium the entire run once you bump up your par and run a true sealed system

  38. @torrencekrepps757 on February 24, 2024 at 7:54 am

I would love to see someone do a video on the difference between the distance of your lights for the size of your bud structure is and how important it is to have the right par to get the best 👌 quality grow that you can do

  39. @theprotagonist6799 on February 24, 2024 at 7:56 am

Dude I was struggling so bad to figure out what the hell was going on I’m new to LEDs and I got a kind LED x220 and I noticed that the top half of the plan extremely bad phosphorus deficiency while the middle and lower half nothing at all couldn’t figure it out until your video thank you. I’m definitely getting rid of LEDs and switching back to high pressures and MH

The giant ad that takes up 90% of the screen is a greedy simp move.
The content appears sketch when you push your miracle juice to such an ridiculous extent.
Drops of imbalance in this case.

Had five males out of five beans last year outdoor guerrilla grow style.

  42. @johnnymccoy4311 on February 24, 2024 at 8:02 am

I have heard an explantation that has led me to believe co2 is overhyped. This scientist( 4got his name was on Mr. Grow it podcast) said that the plant is simply using the "carbon part" of the co2. He claimed that by simply putting sufficient amounts of carbon in the soil will suffice to explode growth. Then I read studies showing how gardens trees etc show 50% increase in yield outside in nature by simply using biochar also reducing carbon emissions

  43. @78schoolboy on February 24, 2024 at 8:03 am

I will say I just got a new bar light it’s the same as the third photo there showing where the bars can be removed from the main bar that houses 3 drivers . I do like being able to only hook up 3 bars at once so it’s a little easier on the seedlings. It’s really doing a great job it gives me about 1100 ppfd @ 12" from the canopy seems really good so far . My Last grow was done with a optic 6 but it gets hot as shit

  44. @Ramblin81 on February 24, 2024 at 8:05 am

I feel the different penetration levels/depths across the light spectrum affects the anthocyanin stress response so I don’t use purple stems as a sign of P deficiency anymore after a few years of leds. I look for chlorosis combined with necrosis plus high runoff PH unless it’s just all getting purple.
Also the plants use osmosis to absorb Water, they release carbon cations and anions into the medium to get nutrient cations and anions into the roots through the same process but it’s happening in a river going upwards. That’s where conductivity and vpd collide. Sorry if that’s nonsense lol

  45. @kojinmaster on February 24, 2024 at 8:06 am

    You believe in flat earth?

  46. @Stay_Medicated_Pa on February 24, 2024 at 8:06 am

I use Optic 4 gen 4 Led. It works amazing and i grow some awesome flowers that have ppl running back for more….BUT there has always been the purple stems. Alot of times the flowers turned purple too but not always. I thought it was genetics but this makes me wonder…

    Very interesting stuff ❤

  47. @salovila5328 on February 24, 2024 at 8:08 am

I´ve been running Lumatek 600w (2.7) LEDS for two years now.

The distance of the lights to the plants has to be almost double of what the manufacturer states. Using CO2 has not made a

difference in light burn or defiencies.

I run the lights at 50% untill the buds are formed, then switch to 75% for the last month and a half. If I run them at 100% I get light burn. 3 feet away from plants!

Yield? About the same as running double ended 600W LECs, running about half of the electricity.

  48. @LetArtsLive on February 24, 2024 at 8:09 am

So I should sleep in the closet with my plants LOL how do you keep the CO2 in there?

  49. @dmo848 on February 24, 2024 at 8:10 am

Thought this was sun burn from the light. Usually I’ll raise the light but now y’all got me thinking a whole new way. Cal mag to the rescue maybe. Idk everything is a learning experience for me at this point. I find this hobby fun to see what happens. I feel like a lil scientist
