I can see it for pepper or tomatoes, how about attaching a stake to support plants…..

Putting an encased UVC unit in your DWC res allows you to grow in high water temps with zero (root) issues. An external UVC unit and pump could be used as well. I use a 5 watt UVC unit from Sera on a 300l/h Eheim Compacton 300 pump and a timer runs this unit for an hour several times per 24 hours. I use the waterflow for flooming as well and it keeps my DWC res and roots clean and the nutrients mixed. I’ve grown with zero (root) issues using UVC light in water temps reaching over 29C/84F during Summer. The advantage of using a small UVC cleaner and pump over a chiller is less sound and much less wattage/power usage.

3 pots? You can get 10 in that size tote what a waste of money

  7. @pauljohnston2201 on March 1, 2024 at 7:05 am

Them air stones on the bottom of the tank are way too noisy. Need to drill holes with 4mm tee piece and make a air circuit and only have so much length from the tee piece so the stone isn’t on the bottom of the tank😉

  10. @mattb7895 on March 1, 2024 at 7:11 am

That mustache is an absolute unit.

  11. @SeamusHarper1234 on March 1, 2024 at 7:14 am

Will the system be resilient to changes in the waterlevel? Or do you have to keep refilling often, to ensure the waterlevel stays in a certain range?

  12. @thuongvovan603 on March 1, 2024 at 7:16 am

How to turn oxygen a day? Thanks

  13. @genisesteva8696 on March 1, 2024 at 7:20 am

I love your content, how much time is working the air pump?

  14. @jonp3674 on March 1, 2024 at 7:22 am

Great video, really well edited. I think this hybrid approach, with the splashing on the roots, is a really promising ideas as I’ve heard one of the big faffs of aero is the nozzles getting clogged from the nutrients in the water and so this system avoids that which is great.

  15. @steve-adams on March 1, 2024 at 7:28 am

I love the thoughtful design here. Premade kits I’ve seen tend to be well implemented DIY plans, which is great for beginners, but this kind of system pushes that envelope a bit. I hope it’s successful — I’d live to see more good ideas and good designs we can all benefit from. Nice review!

  16. @oldmanobie6300 on March 1, 2024 at 7:32 am

I went to buy this, but it is only available in Australia. Please let us know when people in USA can purchase it.

  17. @davew2072 on March 1, 2024 at 7:32 am

Question, what do you use to change the water in the system, submersible pump and hose through that middle acces hole in lid , then into a separate separate bucket?

  18. @Philmoon69 on March 1, 2024 at 7:37 am

This is a sponsored preview not a review. I think a title change is required. I don’t mind it being a preview at all or sponsored but you got to stay honest. I’m sure this was just an oversight rather than intentional.

  19. @dressydressy6246 on March 1, 2024 at 7:40 am

An impressive well thought out system. Question: I would like to do indoor hydroponics but the grow lights are way to expensive. How can this be resolved?

  20. @davidfriedman3962 on March 1, 2024 at 7:40 am

It looks nice, but how practical or cost effective for growing a few leafy greens indoors? Large reservoir to maintain and empty, I want to see a review following several applications

  21. @moongloomable on March 1, 2024 at 7:41 am

The problem I have found with this method is the plants don’t get enough water and salts build up in the hydroton. Easy for the plants end up overfertilized when young. I have those exact airstones off ebay too. Once the roots grow down it is fine but then it is just dwc. Cool container for DWC though and nice it comes with a pump and airstones.

  23. @antoniosanford4675 on March 1, 2024 at 7:42 am

I was wondering when you would venture into the world of aeroponics. Would love to see you work on more of these systems in the future.

  24. @megaflux7144 on March 1, 2024 at 7:42 am

use a loop of soaker tube instead of trash stones. also i thought in dwc there was supposed to be an inch or so gap below the pot. thats not aeroponics either. p.s. fuck paying 200$ to grow 2 plants when 2 5 gallon buckets would get the same result.

  25. @johnw3724 on March 1, 2024 at 7:43 am

When does an air-stone bubbler qualify as Aeroponic? This is just marketing hype and nothing more. Shame on you Hoocho.

  26. @pyronac1 on March 1, 2024 at 7:43 am

and how much does this thing cost to grow two plants? $200? to grow 2 plants at a time? thats insane and too expensive for only growing 2 plants. though i am sure this is useful for marijuana. just not practical for the price to grow really anything else.

  27. @Mayhemcountryliving on March 1, 2024 at 7:44 am

Very interesting. Very nice set up for complete Hydroponics arrow Panik system.

  28. @IRBry on March 1, 2024 at 7:44 am

    looks very clean

  29. @NaughtyGoatFarm on March 1, 2024 at 7:46 am

    Nicely made system

  30. @makealive on March 1, 2024 at 7:46 am

Is it need to exchange the nutrient solution throughout the planting period? Thanks

  31. @SeamusHarper1234 on March 1, 2024 at 7:49 am

The price is not that high, I’d buy this anytime over a diy build. You can save ~30 or 40 bucks on a diy build, but especially for beginners, the rate of success and the ease of use is really nice.. This system goes on my shopping list for next season = )

  32. @CriticoolHit on March 1, 2024 at 7:50 am

Can you believe they made this thing black? Maybe after 5 coats of Killz outdoor I’d be comfortable trying to keep it even remotely cool enough!. Better solution for indoors maybe.

  33. @33vegastar on March 1, 2024 at 7:51 am

in france these systems price is 169 euros for the 9 hole and the 3 hole is at 109 euros there is also a 4 or 6 pot one . i prefer to stick with simple black 20l bucket get a air pump/stone make a hole on the lid and 14cm net cup and use it outdoor ( dig hole to put the bucket in the ground to avoid the water temp going to high ) With 109 euros i can have 14 20l bucket with air pump

  34. @Tayjuice on March 1, 2024 at 7:51 am

You are supposed to have the lid upside down when the plants are small and turn it back around

  35. @garrymiller2769 on March 1, 2024 at 7:52 am

    How cool is that!

  36. @meisterpropper8912 on March 1, 2024 at 7:53 am

Hi, great explanation and a nicely made video!

But I have one question: Would it be possible to turn off the airpump at night when the roots are already reaching the wather reservoir?

    Regards!

  37. @dertythegrower on March 1, 2024 at 7:54 am

Water Temperature is crucial on these, and hard to maintain outdoors.. definitely work great indoors so long as you can maintain the container from bad bacteria and temp spikes

  38. @billcarson4566 on March 1, 2024 at 7:54 am

Hi Hoocho, have enjoyed your show for some time now. Do you need a water chiller for DWC ?

  39. @phuckyoutube5927 on March 1, 2024 at 7:54 am

Your very good at explaining things cant wait till you hit a million
