You seem to have used too much. You used 1% based on the dose. 0.5% is what is recommended for young plants. 1% is for plants in stable veg state.

I’m currently fighting it. I got rid of it but the downside of peroxide is it won’t promote growth which saves the plant. H2o2 just cleans and then goes away…

  2. @letitgrowdad5268 on March 5, 2024 at 7:05 am

Wouldn’t that be because the hydrogen peroxide kills all living organisms is no microbes or food for the plant

  3. @ThePartyNetwork on March 5, 2024 at 7:07 am

That is because the perioxide is just oxygen and you still need nutrients

You have no clue what you are talking about.

    Hydrogaurd no way.

I have photos with massive kayle and a hemp plant 2 stories tall. Has nothing to do with perioxide killing your plant, you take a child and only feed it water and oxygen and forget about nutrients what will happen? If you would have placed what I add to the water the plant on the right would grow 1/2 an inch everyday.

I did a test with a tomato and took all seeds from the same tomato plant and gave them all just miracle grow a non organic fertilizer and I added my 90 nutrients into 5 plants with H202 and they grew twice as fast and had tomatoes on the plant already

You give me your nutrient and I will show that you are wrong. To just add water and oxygen with no nutrients into the water at first the one on the right grew faster but once the nutrients was gone from the water, how can a child grow of you stop feeding it?

Put perioxide with the product on the left? Must have more nutrients in the water

Did you do a TDS test

    Total devolve solids test,

    Answer in no.

Isn’t H2O2 supposed to be used only to prep the roots before introducing beneficial bacteria (and after infections)?

  6. @cooller8888 on March 5, 2024 at 7:15 am

bro, these products don’t serve the same purpose in hydroguard are beneficial bacteria h2o2 is just a cleaning chemical, you are supposed to clean your roots from root rot after it happens or as prevention flush with 3% h2o2 and water again regularly, hydroguard and bacteria in it is supposed to kill these who cause root rot, etc. so you don’t have to do such ‘flush’ and be on guard about root zone also hydroguard is a scam, don’t buy their products if you value your money, they cost you a cocaine price for that stuff, you can find a hell of alternatives for few bucks with actually bigger % of beneficial bacteria… I don’t know what you thinking, put a seedling into an h2o2 solution, damn man…

    Informative, thank you

Thank you for the review! I like the Bontanicare CalMag, so this one will be an add to the mix👍🏾

  9. @loganladue2 on March 5, 2024 at 7:19 am

How much did you use? You can use 3% hydrogen peroxide 1tsp per gallon of water from what I’ve seen with no issue.

Thanks for this bro very helpful cheers mate

  11. @bs4638 on March 5, 2024 at 7:22 am

The Metamucil plastic label covers are probably not effective in preventing light from passing through. I suggest you cover the entire container with aluminum foil or a reflective material. It should help prevent algae growth, to start with.

  12. @valeriesanchez3074 on March 5, 2024 at 7:25 am

I use the 3% hydrogen peroxide add 3 tsp hp to 1 gal water.
Fixed the root rot in my tomato.
From what I read if using the 35% food grade peroxide,
About 1/2 tsp per 1 gallon.

  13. @Topsrite on March 5, 2024 at 7:29 am

Hey is Metamucil better than miralax?

  14. @cheflife420 on March 5, 2024 at 7:31 am

Did I miss the amount per gallon

  15. @robertthegrowguy7115 on March 5, 2024 at 7:32 am

My buddy uses the one in Warwick

  16. @DK-pr9ny on March 5, 2024 at 7:33 am

    Used way too much.

  17. @SteveJ619 on March 5, 2024 at 7:34 am

You’re obviously making your hydrogen peroxide too strong. I use 3% hydroponics peroxide and I probably mix just a few squirts into my water. Probably barely even a teaspoon
.. I use it for seedlings. I use it for clones. If I’m not going to be using clone X it depends on how I’m feeling. Or if I’m using a root plug for the second time I’ll just hydroponics peroxide it and I’ve never had anything get burnt like the way I’m seeing yours. Yours is obviously way too strong … I have hydro guard also…. The only reason I don’t use hydrogen peroxide is when Im using mycorriza and azos instead because you’ll kill the mycorriza with hydroponics side … I’m using a real earth box .. my roots are not in the bottom reservoir yet and I’ve had water in the earth box for about a week now. I put a squared of hydroponics peroxide in there but I really don’t want hydroponics peroxide wicking up into my soil that has micros and mycorriza in it because I’m using like roots organic stuff this time. .. I was thinking about adding hydro to my reservoir instead of hydroponicside to keep the water clean until the roots finally hit the bottom and start drinking because I don’t want the water to get all moldy because I’m actually using a heater in my tent and I do have a cardboard shield next to the box to protect the box and plant from the immediate heat ..

But my house downstairs is about 60° and I don’t want my plant getting that cold at night because I usually fool your spread right when it gets dark and I don’t want to wet and cold all night long .
… The light keeps it warm in the day …

But our house is always freezing cold in the winter. So. .. I think I am will use a few drops of hydrogen peroxide it should evaporate out

  18. @swish4773 on March 5, 2024 at 7:35 am

Ive used hydrogen peroxide 3% through an entire hydroponic grow with no issues.

  19. @assog5737 on March 5, 2024 at 7:36 am

I don’t understand how you were growing these.
What did you do just fill those containers up with water. And then put hp in one, and hydro guard in the other.
And then just let them sit there like that and grow.

So the water wasn’t circulating ?

The hydro guard does work well. The hydro guard has only one ingredient in it.

And with hg you can add other micros and run like a live reservoir.
    With hp you can’t.

I’ve never used hp before and probably never will.

I’ve never had any problems with the micros that I run.
    I run 25 different ones.
And one of those is whats in hydro guard.

  20. @jonesy3007 on March 5, 2024 at 7:36 am

What was the concertation of Hydrogen Peroxide that you used?

  21. @melanieklarofficial on March 5, 2024 at 7:38 am

Maybe too strong a solution of hydrogen peroxide?

  22. @daviddahl83 on March 5, 2024 at 7:39 am

What else is in the water? This is hydroponic? I have no experience with hydroponic growing but would like to learn.

  23. @gutrali on March 5, 2024 at 7:39 am

Don’t buy hydroguard!! They are ripping you off. You can get a product far more concentrated with the same active ingredient for far less. Details here https://youtu.be/H_8AoAPdRsE

  24. @RabeaHussain on March 5, 2024 at 7:44 am

I thought HP is for flushing root rot for few hours and then you add nutrients and benefecial bacteria again ..right? Anyways anyone know of a good product similar to hydroguard but in powder form ?

  25. @jasonjamesbisson on March 5, 2024 at 7:52 am

I have a problem maybe you can help me sort out. So I’m gonna have to work away from home for 2weeks at a time. I want to set up a drip system and reservoir to water a Organic grow. I will be Ammending the media with Dry Ammendments and Teas when I’m home. I want something for my Reservoir to help keep it sanitized to some extent. I’m torn between some Peroxide into eh Reservoir when I fill it up or Hydroguard. This reservoir will be left unattended for 2 weeks.

    Regards

  26. @sandrastembridge4226 on March 5, 2024 at 7:53 am

Hydrogen peroxide does not contain nutrients. Hydrogaurd does have nutrients.

  27. @HydroHavenGrow on March 5, 2024 at 7:57 am

Interesting. Looks like that would be handy to have. Thumbs up smashed.

  28. @JukeBoxBear on March 5, 2024 at 7:59 am

Hydro-guard is very profitable for those who provide amazon links for you to buy. I have used food grade peroxide very effective for penny’s. Do your research!

  29. @petercsigo3314 on March 5, 2024 at 8:00 am

Any professional Gardener or commercial operation should stay away from hydrogen peroxide it is a useless product unless you want to clean your equipment with it.
