Parts Per Million (PPM) For Cannabis Plants!

Parts Per Million (PPM) For Cannabis Plants!

My plants are on day 14 and they are coming along pretty good. A few small issues but nothing they can’t bounce back from. In this episode I talk about the issues and also talk about Parts Per Million (PPM) for cannabis plants.

  4. Mike Parent on June 17, 2022 at 11:27 am

JM2¢ but some Sativas can take 1500 ppm from early on, in Coco.

Hey Mr. grow it! I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of buying g a bloom yellow bottle line. Like a full line of those tiny ones you have. When I research I can only find the big ones in a pair. Thanks man ur an inspiration!

  6. Gabe on June 17, 2022 at 11:29 am

How do you keep them short and stout? U top them or? Iam a newbie to seeds, and my fav ppm is 200ppm 2 weeks ph 5.8 rdwc fallponic.

  8. Jared Evans on June 17, 2022 at 11:37 am

Yo I know this is old but on one of the plants looks like light burn and I didn’t feed any nutes for about 3-4 weeks and it showed no deficiencies at all I’m week 3 in flower and still no deficiencies from at all

  9. Gordon W on June 17, 2022 at 11:41 am

what if your tap water is 400ppm when you have seedlings? isn’t that too much already even with no nutes?

  10. The_chill_couch on June 17, 2022 at 11:43 am

🤔🤔 all i can say is I’m definitely flushing today AND next week.. my first grow and my ppm is just way way too high lol… learning experience .. almost done flowering and the buds look amazing but now i can only wonder what they would look like had i done EVERYTHING correctly the whole way through… my ppm is at about 1400 right now after flushing and I’ll flush again next week because i dont want to drown them… but when i started the flush this morning they were at 3000 and obviously that’s ridiculously high.. i also only now started to PH everything correctly so this grow won’t be very successful in terms of yield but in terms of experience and knowledge I’d say it was an amazingly good run.. i was nervous for everything at first and now I’m seeing a whole lot of things differently.. thanks to you, mr canucks and 420 scene …. Thanks dudes y’all making this way better… and to anyone cringing at this, lol my bad dude it’s my first run hahaha my next one will be much better… will be starting to post my own videos on my learning journey

  11. Christopher West on June 17, 2022 at 11:43 am

looks like a bad pheno going around, did you let Moxi know? Did it finish out or not make the cut?

  12. Loops on June 17, 2022 at 11:44 am

So I just tested my PPM

My tap with out nutes came in at 222 ppm
RO with nutes came in at 330.
and RO with Cal Mag came in at 220.

So to raise the ppm I just increase the amount of nutes and cal mag? Or is it not even worth the risk.

  13. greeneyed chonga on June 17, 2022 at 11:45 am

I’m trying to find a sweet spot when make super soil ,,, my run off is around 500ppm and I try not to use it until I transplant around day 30 I’ve had some plants that the roots just don’t take off,,is this to high

  14. juliexdonk on June 17, 2022 at 11:45 am

Can you adjust ppm up or down even after you measure out a (1/4) or partial of the recommended dosage?

  15. piff 1000 on June 17, 2022 at 11:47 am

I’m learning it depends on the light. Stronger the light heavier the feeder

  16. Morgan Flaherty on June 17, 2022 at 11:47 am

My base level PPM in the tap water that we got which is well water is 150-180 can you usually get it down to 140-150 by letting it sit overnight once I add my nutrients my lowest dose is usually around 6:50 but I’ve been having issues so I don’t think that’s right that’s why I’m watching this

  17. Bob Benson on June 17, 2022 at 11:48 am

  19. Tommy Gun Hooligan on June 17, 2022 at 11:49 am

Givin 540 ppm first week)want to see if that gonna shock them or not

  20. Pseudo Nymph on June 17, 2022 at 11:50 am

Idk the venom kinda looked like the genetics weren’t stable it looks overwatered but that’s to be expected when it is not healthy if it’s watered like a healthy plant but the feminized seeds unfortunately are never the finished product winning cannabis cups that took years of careful selective pheno/genotypes during breeding table after table of cloning. I never order any natural seeds anymore myself since I spent 150$ on 8 males and two female OG Ghost Train Haze which is super dank and strong but a tad sensitive to Nutes from my experience particularly phosphorous. Alright you probably knew all that better than I take care, Godspeed!

  21. Spin City NYC on June 17, 2022 at 11:50 am

How do you get enough liquid to measure PPM from run off water? I grow hydroponically but was interested in knowing.

  22. Sian Webb on June 17, 2022 at 11:51 am

Grow it out mate it’s not mutant it’s stressed, for some reason it will sort its self out iv seen sme werid shit go perfect and produce some good phenos dnt throw them

  26. Maxxx on June 17, 2022 at 11:59 am

i had ran off of a 370 and haven’t had any issues but def will be sure to go lower if that’s the case it can lead to.

  27. Alex Butts on June 17, 2022 at 12:00 pm

I think it’s nutrient burn if it was a cal-mag deficiency the plant would not be that dark of a green color also 1400 ppm for that small of a plant no way maybe 300 or 400 max I would stay around 200-300 and just give more doses if needed.Remember these nutrient companies always tell to use more than you should so they can push and sell their nutrients faster my rule of thumb is never use more than half of the recommended dosage of the nutrient line your using.

Maybe the snake bite isn’t Doin good because of the terds on top of the soil lol. Kidding.. Looks like it though

  35. T&M on June 17, 2022 at 12:08 pm

My tap water is about 160 parts per million. After adding nutes(manufacturers recommended amount for the age of the plants) the parts per million jumped to 590 parts per million. About 430 PPM of nutrients. Is that bad? Foolish question but never focused on PPM. Water temp, ph(run off and feed) yes, but never PPM. My plants are about 3 weeks old and look awesome.

  36. family man on June 17, 2022 at 12:09 pm

Hello, I was curious I’m growing in amended soil , I’m on week 5 of veg mainlining and my ppms just wont come down I haven’t fid them much at all just purified water and I’m still getting readings anywhere from 2200-3300 I know why its high just want to know any suggestions on a way to bring it down without killing all of my microbes before flower ? thank you or y’all . my amended soil is bush doctor f.f.

  37. Dewayne Moody on June 17, 2022 at 12:09 pm

I’m giving just ph watered at day 12 of germination and my ppm was 1400 then water again and check the run off it was 800 . I’m new to this but it’s just water with a ppm of 173 out of faucet

  38. Creative Experience on June 17, 2022 at 12:10 pm

i outdoor grow right in the ground with my tomato plants and with my mix it get to like 275 ppm but i feed one time every two weeks after plant grows to 3 nodes

  41. bing chen on June 17, 2022 at 12:11 pm

do u have exact ppm.needed per each stage?

  42. Cory Snyder on June 17, 2022 at 12:11 pm

You say 250ppm but I have a lot of different nutrients and each one adds ppm so how am I supposed to know how much of which nutrients I need to add together to equal the required ppm?

  43. Johnny Santana on June 17, 2022 at 12:11 pm

ppm should never exceed watts , divide light watts by total plant growth time in weeks, multiply that by the current week. there you have you max ppm .

  44. Travis Jones on June 17, 2022 at 12:12 pm

its both a mild nute burn and calcium deficiency, also a very mild nitro deficiency

  45. Shaun K on June 17, 2022 at 12:17 pm

I don’t understand why you’re feeding this early. Never had plants look that this early. I dont know, maybe ive just been blessed with great genetics and good luck

  46. urbex dave uk on June 17, 2022 at 12:19 pm

Around veg max 400-500 than go up with weeks works fine for me

  47. Terrelle Butcher on June 17, 2022 at 12:21 pm

How are you getting these numbers the max for ppm is 500!

  48. Keka Harris on June 17, 2022 at 12:22 pm

I’d say it’s not nute burn but calcium def as it’s coco

  49. Alec Higdon on June 17, 2022 at 12:22 pm
