Germany partially decriminalises cannabis | BBC News
Germany has partly decriminalised the use of marijuana.
Under the new rules, which came into force on 1 April, over 18s can possess up to 25g of cannabis in public, and adults can grow up to three plants per household.
But people will not be allowed to smoke cannabis within sight of schools, sports centres or in “pedestrian zones” between 7:00 and 20:00.
Supporters of the law-change say it will help kill the black market and improve quality control, while police unions are warning of real-world harm.

The future of drug-addicted citizens (easy to control) and an insane toll to the national health service has arrived
What a stupid argument (from the second dude) this guy have no idea what he is taking about. Greetings from Dresden!
Bad decisions happen when we are drunk – but stoners will overthink and talk themselves out of it. π
Legalise and regulate or continue having it in the hands of the black market and being controlled by criminals because like it or not people are gonna use it regardless and won’t let a silly thing like the law get in the way.
God i hate stoners.
Shameful. I broke up with my partner because of this addiction and ya my partner was german
Den grΓΆΓten deppen interviewed, da gibt’s bestimmt auch Leute die besser English sprechen kΓΆnnen und bisschen authentischer sind π€·ββοΈπ
Legalisation should be an all over EU law for cannabis. Its a fkn joke you can drink alcohol how much you like and when you get hooked there the doctors say you are sick. Fkn joke rules regarding weed.

It is really nice that individuals elected by people are giving way to people, a peace of their freedom. Once people are free, not constricted, they will cease to crave what is forbidden…
Die Bratwurst ist so vergΓ€nglich wie eine Welle im Meer oder zwei KirschblΓΌten im wind, das LΓ€cheln deiner liebsten im Sonnenschein darum nie den Senf vergessen zur Bratwurst!
Look here’s the deal. As an EU citizen, isnt the german government discriminating when they prohibit me from joining a club?
Sober is the best
No partial decriminalization, partial legalization. Big difference.
And mex ?, when?
With the Conservatives going to be Part of the next government I cant Imagine it staying legal.
Big mistake. Ban all drugs.
End the ridicule!
2 pulls of weed cured my depression and anxiety. That was in 2018. I’ve never been depressed or anxious ever since. And I don’t smoke to maintain peace of imnd.
next phase crystalmeth legalisation!!X
Still federally illegal in the US because Congress sucks π
Can NZ get its act together please…
I have lost friends to alcohol, drink is on another level- why was cannabis ever illegal in the first place?
Green crack. Horrible stuff. But itβs every where so whatβs the point in keeping it illegal.
Bbc are such bad liars, even something like this they still have to throw a little lie in there.. partly legalised or is it just were backwards and theyve legalised it
To Germany I say well done!!. To the UK, I say, oh dear!! You are definitely going to have to play catch up!
honestly for non-smokers there is totally no difference. I was worried a bit about the smell in cities but it didn’t get more than before.
If they legalised it in the uk then think of the billions of pounds in taxes they could take….no brainer when everyone’s struggling
Uk should follow so police can stop stealing weed
Mad how much the bbc want us to hate the idea of this, can feel their motive
crazy, how bbc news gets it right and speaks of cannabis being partially legalized, versus german media that always speaks of cannabis being fully legalized here in germany. that makes a huge difference.
Better come to germany then to the netherlands. We have also weed. We have better beer. And we have autobahnen where u can drive with your car 250mph free of charge. And its allowed to date girls in an age of 14 and older. Prostitution is also legal . Everything what a man needs for holidays. And we have the better soccer clubs then the netherlands. But not as good as in the uk.the premier League is the new champions League.
