How to Remove/Prevent ROOT ROT Pythium – Hydrogen Peroxide(h2o2) Dunk Hydroponic System Hydroguard

#growlife #rootrot #hydrodunk
There seems to be a big debate over whether or not a hydrogen peroxide dunk (h2o2) works in the removal of root rot and long story short, it worked for me. The best way to remove it is to detect it early before it spreads and contaminates everything.

You can use hydroguard, which I was doing, but if you do not have a good way of keeping temperatures low in your water(around 65-67 degrees), you will likely suffer my same fate.

This is my first hydro grow and I went through a lot, but you could learn how I addressed my issues. I started with hydroguard, but after this experience, I converted to a sterile grow, swapping out hydroguard with hydrogen peroxide and now my plants are thriving.

Hydroguards main ingredient is barely in the solution. There’s a video showing that Revitalize is astonishingly more valuable in terms of bang for buck, and its ability to prevent root rot. Check the levels of ingredients in each. Revitalize is a clear winner by a long shot.

    If I don’t have a reserver that’s 15 gal. How much peroxide should I use for a 2.5 gal?

I changed my reservoir with h202 water.
Used about 3 teaspoons of 3% peroxide in 1 gallon of water.
Had a few plants with root rot,
So decided why not experiment see how they perform growing in the solution.
To my surprise, it didn’t harm my baby plants and soon began forming healthy, white roots.
So now, I do this regularly each rese reservoir change.

I’m a lil confused. So I’m having root issues like this and I’m growing in pals myself. In the end you said somthn about sterile water? How do the plants get nutrients if you added hydrogen peroxide to your pals to make sterile water, won’t it kills all the nutrients as well?

Can you just run 30ml per Gallen in the Res for an hour instead of dunking? Then drain? I run 6 pot UCDWC would be much easier
