Why cannabis retailers are asking Ontario to loosen rules on joint in-store promotions
The cannabis industry wants the Ontario government to loosen rules that ban pot producers and retailers from collaborating on promotions. As CBC’s Mike Crawley reports, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce is joining in on asking the Ford government to lift the ban.

No industry that produces a potentially addicting product than can have harmful impacts should be allowed to advertise. Let people who want to consume do so but in no world should there be ads for these products.

Tbh we have enough ability to buy weed. Theres a weed store like every block.
My dad is big on gummies and chocolates and snacks. I always thought it’s weird that they make it into tasty treats. More tempting for kids to eat. Also it’s just an excuse for my already overweight dad to eat a snack and consume more.
Good luck trying to reduce illicit sales. That industry was around for decades before the government got in the game.
Doug Ford use to be one of Ontario’s biggest Hash Dealers in the 80s. He knows how competitive the game is now post legalization. I bet he will soon open up pot sales in corner stores like beer and wine.😂😂
