Inaugural Cannabis Research Symposium 2017 – Part 1

Despite the unprecedented access to cannabis, the science behind it is lacking—we do not know enough about the risks and therapeutic potential due to decades of research restrictions.

Join us for a series of talks from UCLA faculty and visiting speakers about the science of cannabis, cannabinoids, and the endocannnabinoid system, as we work towards establishing a world-class cannabis research program at UCLA.

Opening Remarks by Christopher Evans, PhD, Director, UCLA Brain Research Institute

“Our Endocannabinoid System: Unique and Ubiquitous” by Ken Mackie, MD, Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences, Indiana University Bloomington

Anyone who says there is not enough research is ignorant. It has been studied and debated for over 50 years, some research goes back to 1845. Enough of Government talk, they look at and study harmful effects and found little evidence. Do not say the Children will have access either, they already do by blackmarket unregulated market. Buy anywhere anytime. SO legalize it and collect tax, regulate it like booze already.

i am totally against abuse… and think DRINKING is far worse! its pharmaceuticals i bet funding much of the university or trials here. There are more benefits medically than abuse. limits yes.. recreational no. Medial… should have full access WITHOUT THE PHARMACEUTICALS GETTING GREEDY HANDS ON IT AND PUTTING AND CHANGING ITS NATURAL CURES OF NATURE!

Is it war on drugs, or war on medicine?
