Any state can still make it illegal in their state.

Yeah I know a bunch of Autistic children who can "finally calm down" lol

A schedule 1 drug cannot be decriminalized as long as its schedule 1. This is a necessary step to full decriminalization.

What they are doing is a joke and a waste of time. When the government gets it set up in a way that they completely control it, then they will legalize.

Been on sativa for three months, medical prescription, and it has helped me so much. It’s beautiful.

Long time smoker here but have quit due to drug testing and really valuing my job I hope this changes things for Texas. When I was younger it was just about chasing a high but now it’s one of the few things that helps with my arthritis pains, it doesn’t go away but taking the edge off of a pain level 7+ everyday is enough for me. Never knew medical marijuana could help with autism as well. My daughter is probably far to young but I will be researching that as I am curious what studies are saying behind that.

I am an advocate for the decriminalization and the legalization of marijuana. But let me be perfectly clear, no matter what anybody says marijuana does not control pain in any way shape or form.. it does control, anxiety, nausea, stress, insomnia, and many other necessary applications for illness….. but it absolutely does not control pain!!

  15. @antarchy1 on May 24, 2024 at 9:34 am

We need to legalize it statewide. It’s free money Abbott. Either drug cartels get that money or TX run businesses do.

    Booooooo Texas is waaaaaaaack!

  17. @user-fp6rb1tx1e on May 24, 2024 at 9:38 am

    Full legalization

  18. @alfrjr1283 on May 24, 2024 at 9:38 am

As an American I think that if it’s legal in one US state then it should be legal in ALL US states,,,,,I mean we are the United States of America and not segregated to allow it in certain states and not be in others and it just doesn’t make sense when people all over can benefit from the marijuana market 👍

  19. @-elijahriggs- on May 24, 2024 at 9:42 am

    declassify

  20. @anonymousmc7727 on May 24, 2024 at 9:42 am

  21. @Desecrator6 on May 24, 2024 at 9:42 am

Oh this means nothing significant… legalize it

  22. @JRod12511 on May 24, 2024 at 9:43 am

That’s all great but the citizens of Texas want access like our neighbor states for consumption.

  23. @edpodellis on May 24, 2024 at 9:44 am

If the US government legalized marijuana in the 1990s we wouldn’t have the drug problems we have today !!!!

I was recently arrested for a tiny bit of shrooms (psilocybin) and it was a $16k bond and class 2 felony possession of a controlled substance. The guy next to me in holding was arrested for the exact same amount of FENTANYL and got the exact same charge as me. Its insane.

  42. @HappyHoney41 on May 24, 2024 at 10:01 am

I am old autistic with PDA and dyspraxia. With my nervous system, I go from 0 to 100 internal rage over anything. (I keep it internalized, but that comes with CPTSD and masking, etc.) I spill things, break things, and get injured daily; and that is infuriating. This stuff helps keep me from raging/calms me back down quickly. Trust me, you want me high. It helps dull some of the joint and other pain, and I’ve had some level of pain for as long as I can remember. I don’t want the other damage to my body that comes with otc pain medications and I don’t want to get addicted to other medications, so I just suffer through it. This stuff helps with the anxiety and stress I get from having to interact with other people. It puts me on an even keel. Having dyspraxia, I am already uncoordinated; so I really should not drink alchohol. It helps with my insomnia, so I can sleep. Best stuff for me.

Useless regurgitated content, as usual, from our Texas media not asking the REAL questions WE ALL have to our politicians. What on EARTH is taking so long for Texas to pass recreational use??
