Oklahoma City service industry faces staff shortage as workers move to marijuana jobs
Workers who have transitioned to the marijuana industry say they appreciate the higher wages, feel social distancing measures are better followed and often receive benefits they didn’t at restaurants.
keep paying low wages? this is what happens!
😂
as a cook for 20 years , restaurants pay like shit for skilled labor, like if i dont cook this chicken right , someone dies…yet we make under $20 an hour…. im switching careers, im supposed to keep 6 timers in my head , worry about what tool thinks the menu is ‘create your own’ in the middle of the waitress bitching , oh and i just burned my hand on this fuckin pan, well atleast it wasnt as bad when i took half a knuckle off on the slicer….. like the restaurant industry is in for a rude awakening.
You want to end poverty? then raise the minimum wage Oklahoma legislation, you worthless conservative Republicans. They think making laws so we can run over rioters is more important. Get rid of Governor tit now!
I don’t get how people can just pay workers around $2 something, yea they get tips but that has nothing to do with theyre work, it’s a tip not customers giving pay checks
All of the businesses that rely on low wages to turn a profit need to go the way of the dinosaurs, in my opinion.
