Trying not topping this grow with my Tuna Kush 👍

  3. @thesleepstealer6170 on June 23, 2024 at 11:22 am

You are simply wrong. As so many others here have said, through MANY years of tests and comparisons topping ALWAYS produces denser more numerous buds, PERIOD. Oh and by the way stress causes increased harvest in MANY plants, tomatoes are one example besides cannabis.

  4. @SweetjamesjonesII on June 23, 2024 at 11:23 am

Sea of green no top is best for non closet grows

  5. @slice999 on June 23, 2024 at 11:25 am

2.2 up and 3.5k downvotes. Says everything! What an incompetent and unprofessional video

  6. @VIVA-BANDITO on June 23, 2024 at 11:26 am

So it sounds like the comments speak for themselves… Do Not Top….

  7. @user-dm7wt2xx6m on June 23, 2024 at 11:29 am

The maker of this video is a classic example of a fuck boi that puts out misinformation I been growing longer than she’s been alive and topped every plant and got astronomical yealds so fuck his video

  8. @xXLordWrekXx on June 23, 2024 at 11:29 am

whats good P? love your channel. any training videos you recommend? thanks i want to stop topping

  9. @JasonG123 on June 23, 2024 at 11:30 am

Literally do not listen to this video whether you are brand new or semi experienced. There’s no need for "I feel" statements in cannabis, it’s a science. Topping is okay, you can top your plant unlimited times with no issues. Growing your plant without topping is a terrible idea and will result in less bud and less quality bud almost 100% of the time in comparison to even a single topped plant due to light penetration alone.

  10. @HigzyTeflon on June 23, 2024 at 11:31 am

I’m gonna end up with 14-footers if I don’t top in my garden in living soil. Nosey neighbours and such. Yield would suffer as well. I really like the way an untopped plant looks and all with its symmetrical Christmas tree shape, but I’ll continue topping and applying LST to my outdoor crop because it makes no sense for me not to, given my needs. It’s all about personal choice and everyone has a different situation to the next person.

  11. @luabida on June 23, 2024 at 11:31 am

I just topped my 3 autos. One of them seems to be not growing up again, I wonder if I have did something wrong in the crop. Is there a way of fixing it?

  12. @sugargraham6868 on June 23, 2024 at 11:31 am

    Lmao 😅

  13. @carloswilton5127 on June 23, 2024 at 11:35 am

He’s right I topped my wedding cake at the 4th node
And it’s totally buggered up the plant. The two tops that are supposed to be creating two more …have slowed down and all the bottom is now growing more. Don’t top

  14. @adamhalcyon3393 on June 23, 2024 at 11:36 am

I’m new to this. What are your training options if you do not top it?

  15. @marriottscove7733 on June 23, 2024 at 11:37 am

Topping keeps my canopy closer to an even height, some strains/ sativa’s grow too fast not to top 2-3-4 times just to stay down with the rest. I pinch off the top, no scissors its easier, cleaner & leaves a better stub. Or I’ll just bend them over and lay a net over them after I flip them. It also gives access to cloning lower branches earlier and I don’t see it as stress, there’s no loss of growth it just changes location of that growth to the lowers.

  18. @nicklohry9284 on June 23, 2024 at 11:38 am

I LOVE to top plants and can’t understand for one second WHY you would flat out just tell ppl to STOP/NOT top there plants bro 🤦 lol. Now, don’t get me wrong every situation is diff and I’m all for LST as well. However, if you have room there is NOO better technique than topping to increase yield aswell as create and maintain symmetrical beautiful canopy’s 🤷 Especially for outdoor plants! Telling me NOT to top an outdoor plant would flat out be one of the stupidest things I ever herd lol. Now, you prolly not referring to outdoors as much considering you grow indoors mostly I imagine. And to each there own for sure, there is a million GREAT ways to grow this plant. But, I would never just remove topping from my Arsenal NEVER 😂😂😂

One thing you can’t do is tell another grower what they shouldn’t do

  22. @macbattle7833 on June 23, 2024 at 11:41 am

Two apical meristems are better than one.

  23. @StevenCase-zh5cr on June 23, 2024 at 11:41 am

    Unfollowing now

  24. @abril8915 on June 23, 2024 at 11:42 am

You don’t have to top as it takes like 2-4 days for it to recover. You can lst. But if you are new top its easy for you gives you time to study. But as for more advance i believe topping once its best then lst my opinion

  25. @jonathansmith7935 on June 23, 2024 at 11:45 am

    only stress is your voice

  26. @TimSouthernwood on June 23, 2024 at 11:45 am

I’m a long time subscriber, been dark awhile, but this topic is spot on.
I never top my plants anymore, not after I developed what I call the hand method.
At node four I bend the plant permanently. it will remain tied down and continue to grow long arms.
I like to grow about 16-18 arms total and then trip them.
Of course they’ve long ago been scrogged and scrogged again to catch all the tall buds. Down below, zero growth. And the stem looks like a wrist pushing upward fingers spread. The hand is good.
I had tops on top of ten inch groups of buds all in the light..
    26 Oz in a 5×5

  27. @derjohnson2741 on June 23, 2024 at 11:45 am

  29. @REON-pw5ze on June 23, 2024 at 11:47 am

such a rookie take bro. i mean, ALL the big dogs are in favor of topping…before stating some "bro science", bring out studies or results please…

  30. @yvernorthum6768 on June 23, 2024 at 11:50 am

The best part of this video was that this topic has brought out all the experienced toppers, and I’m learning a lot from their insights

  31. @benpinder889 on June 23, 2024 at 11:51 am

Stop telling people what to do especially with zero logic to it 😂

  32. @teleportdinero on June 23, 2024 at 11:52 am

hey bro question, i never top my stuff, do you think it is okay to top them when they are late in veg and large?

  37. @madhatterer1978 on June 23, 2024 at 11:58 am

I’m a new gardener, and I have been doing a lot of research and talking to people with experience and I kept hearing about topping but what ur saying does make a lot of sense and my thing is I’m growing outside so I think I’m going to just let it go and let nature do what it does.

  38. @phillipbug958 on June 23, 2024 at 11:59 am

There’s 1 main reason now & it’s Hop Latent Viroid so be careful in 2024 & apologies for the curse word folks.

  39. @fabiantimmins2224 on June 23, 2024 at 12:01 pm

Topping plants has been a tried and tested, reliable training method for centuries. Dude, I don’t mean to come across as a patronising old fart but you look like you are in your twenties, I just can’t imagine your growing experience to be that extensive. In this field being humble can seriously boost your knowlege, it’s amazing what you learn when you stop talking. You don’t want to top your babies, that’s cool buddy, you don’t have to but giving out does and don’ts with that little experience is not. I often say that the commercial weed scene is the new vape scene, full of elitest hipsters trying to reinvent the wheel. Controlled stress has remarkable, positive effects in certain types of plants. Low stress training is also not a new concept and has been used for centuries, it is combining topping with low stress training and defolitation where the magic happens. This is not a personal attack on you buddy, just a general observation of a lot of young growers.

  40. @monstermaes9610 on June 23, 2024 at 12:01 pm

What about auto flowers? I had somebody give me a plant one time and I threw it in my garden not realizing it was a auto flower. It produced one cola………. If I did some low stress training, would it have had more? If I had topped it, would it produce more colas? I’ve only been growing for a few years nowhere near being an expert yet.

  41. @jmongmon1100 on June 23, 2024 at 12:01 pm

Thanks for the great video on what not to do! I appreciate it!

  42. @tact1calshot989 on June 23, 2024 at 12:03 pm

Your nuts topping saved my autoflower fucking thing was yellow and dying at early stage veg, only 4 nodes, I figured let me use this time to learn more about autoflower I typed so only 3 nodes then lollynpoped lower two nodes to bare minimal, my autoflower not only bounced back in 7 -10 days but I also stressed top he plant into survival mode, it chunked up top node which turned into two main nodes rather than just one, 😂 the two nodes are actually fatter and more defined than the stem lmfao, the yellow leaves turned green

  43. @erichunter3865 on June 23, 2024 at 12:03 pm

Well we cant bottom them .😂

  46. @jaysay7350 on June 23, 2024 at 12:07 pm

I don’t trust people who’s advice constantly includes the words "never" and "always". They are 100% convinced that they know all the answers. Try everything, make mistakes, learn what works for you in your environment and lifestyle. Don’t make it too complicated until you have learned a bunch on your own then only if you want to. Also, remember, the internet is full of videos with SOME good info and they make it sound like church and want you to buy a lot of crap you don’t need.

  47. @LifeOfEsteban on June 23, 2024 at 12:08 pm

But Believes are different than scientific facts on a molecule level wheather you want to believe on it or not.
It helps focus the energy on other nodes to multiply the 1 main stem into many main stems instead..
If you don’t top you will only have 1 main stem and less bud growth.

  48. @Lincolnfarms on June 23, 2024 at 12:11 pm

Done topping plants I have 3 plants all the same age and the one I didn’t top out grew tf out of the other two like big time
