  4. @loranstaley1119 on July 31, 2024 at 1:45 pm

Or you can just, ya know, do what you want. Growers get WAAAAAYYYY too into growing a fucking plant. Itโ€™s a plant, it grows, it flowers. Stop tripping about โ€œbiggest nugsโ€, just grow. Easy peasy.

  5. @rareexotics8020 on July 31, 2024 at 1:46 pm

Quantity, quantity, quantity!!!!!! Nothing about quality!!!!! Commercialization is such a joke!!!!!!! The guy talking looks like he’s barely old enough to buy beer, why would I take advice from him?๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  6. @jimmiewomble416 on July 31, 2024 at 1:47 pm

Decades ago, I used to grow a mix of sativas and indicas. I noticed on (some) sativas varied greatly in potency from the top colas to the bottom ones, and I stopped topping them. I never noticed that on any indicas, though. But they also never needed it in my 7" height grow area.

  7. @blubblub346 on July 31, 2024 at 1:47 pm

"i stopped topping because i can’t do it properly"

  8. @TheNewMediaoftheDawn on July 31, 2024 at 1:47 pm

I think you can probably get a higher yield topping, but yes the extra labour and hassle probably outweighs the benefitsโ€ฆ๐Ÿฅฆ

  9. @baitball4665 on July 31, 2024 at 1:48 pm

so many people in the comments didnt listen to anything he said and are real mad about it lol

  10. @zgoat4127 on July 31, 2024 at 1:48 pm

I do the same , if you need the side branches to catch up a bit just keep taking the fan leaves of the main cola and that will slow it down a little , then bend the side branches out to let the new growth fill in the center top, its a great method

These ‘KIDS’ nowadays know enough to blow themselves up only if someone else poured the gasoline while someone else lit the match..
I’ve grown cannabis since the 1970s and this guys advice is POO POO.
Only another KID would value anything this KID has to say.

  13. @John-io5zc on July 31, 2024 at 1:51 pm

Topping is a great thing if done correctly. Instead of one big cola and several same sized smaller nugs. I can get eight to ten large buds and several same size smaller nugs. Remember don’t top your plant to death. once at five stages once again right before flowering never top this plant again. You should do well.

  14. @purplepinekush3246 on July 31, 2024 at 1:52 pm

i was just saying to my buddies that the absolute best , biggest, and prettiest buds were all from un topped plants..
my g13 buds look amazing for a christmas tree, unlike the g13 i topped, buds are small, larfy, and not pretty…
there is a reason why tents are 7 feet tall..

  15. @Jeremyjoesmith on July 31, 2024 at 1:53 pm

Attn.!!! Everyone โ€ฆ. This guy doesnโ€™t know what the hell heโ€™s talking about. Iโ€™m just going to leave it at that , if you know you know.

  16. @sergio010495 on July 31, 2024 at 1:53 pm

I top to release the auxins hormone to make sure that the side shoots become main shots if you don’t top i don’t care how much light reaches the lower branches they will not become main colas.

  17. @ntresdfggghhhjjnbbbh on July 31, 2024 at 1:55 pm

Why not jus top with crop steering and do sum LST, HST, and trellis ur plants to get better light penetration the only thing your losing is time for the plant to catch up with its recovery and vegging and flowering time thatโ€™s why a lot of industry grows use sea of green method with no topping or fimming or very little, I gotta disagree with the bud size statement he made youโ€™ll still be able to Main line multiple fat heads just like Maine colas, i just would never top in flower it would be too late for its growth cycle after the plant starts to show pistols I just let it do itโ€™s thing but during veg indoor grows with 18 hours of light i choose the length of the plant Iโ€™m wanting to achieve with filling a canopy 15 hour light cycle for out doors during early June, July in mass I still top crazy itโ€™s all about preference and picking what works for you on the project your doing

  18. @franjopenezic5554 on July 31, 2024 at 1:59 pm

you tube is full of wrong informations about cannabis

  19. @stephanreneaujr.7299 on July 31, 2024 at 1:59 pm

I have full even canopy and I top I just got done topping a skunk XL four different times that thing is beautiful and it’s going to have massive buds

  20. @frankiejoseph3792 on July 31, 2024 at 2:01 pm

Maybe in a sea of green but it’s best to top your plant at a certain node at least once. If you top three times and make clones early on you’ll have two more trays finishing every 4 weeks consistently! He’s too young to be tell us experienced growers his technique lol Good for you though if it works.

  21. @johnr990 on July 31, 2024 at 2:02 pm

Topping is for amatuers who aren’t real horticulturist.
It’s not a shade tree canopy your producing consumable vegetation like a Citrus tree.

  22. @funkfunk7357 on July 31, 2024 at 2:04 pm

Dont trust this man he is talking about cutting in the flowering phase at the end… so all the words spoken in the beginning are waste.

  23. @stevesf28 on July 31, 2024 at 2:04 pm

I appreciate the knowledge shared here. I assumed that Mike was talking about not topping in veg, but the last statement is "I don’t think I will ever top again a plant in flower." Was the whole conversation about topping in flower?

  24. @BudTrainer on July 31, 2024 at 2:05 pm

    Interesting!

  25. @DarkProphet7 on July 31, 2024 at 2:06 pm

  27. @user-wq3tf8ow5d on July 31, 2024 at 2:13 pm

I had a good one going and a week before I was about to take it somehow while I was at work my light that was hanging somehow fell from the ceiling fell just right and split the plant down the middle.

  28. @Cannabis_University on July 31, 2024 at 2:13 pm

    HST for the win!!!

  29. @SanAmorous on July 31, 2024 at 2:15 pm

    I like this guy!

  30. @Dazedays_0420 on July 31, 2024 at 2:15 pm

If youre going after breeding and quality genetics, why top?…. makes sense to only top if you’re going for quantity… ๐Ÿ˜…

  31. @dustinboes5698 on July 31, 2024 at 2:15 pm

I top all these growers just pushing shit out for money.. I’m growing for me. Idc if it takes few days to recover I’m not trying to see how fast I can push them out. Quality over quantity ๐Ÿ‘Œ

  32. @Godlycones on July 31, 2024 at 2:16 pm

    ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ okay ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

  33. @wholivelikethis on July 31, 2024 at 2:18 pm

  35. @johnnyskywalker339 on July 31, 2024 at 2:19 pm

Tou have to top them everybody does it, it doubles your yield of u do it early on

  36. @marcuspoe9353 on July 31, 2024 at 2:20 pm

all due respect for anyone puttin the time in to observe, and there will always be differences in what is experienced. the plant knowing what it is supposed to do is regenerate by passing on the next gen. of itself by seeding. all due respect but toppin usually, not always but usually if done proper will develop very closely to the same to the same if you done leave part of the topped stem.

  37. @TheHappyCultivator on July 31, 2024 at 2:20 pm

    Holy ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…

Ya i wouldn’t ever top in flower ๐Ÿ˜‚
    what a goof
    Bad info ๐Ÿ‘Ž
Dude was talking about several different things, but somehow made zero sense.
    Gotta love it ๐Ÿ˜

  38. @888DFINITY on July 31, 2024 at 2:20 pm

take mature cuttings , manipulate the leader LST way quicker advanced veg growth , flip to flower

  39. @RobGnarly-fv5tw on July 31, 2024 at 2:21 pm

One big bud that might have mold in it or a bunch of nice medium buds , I’ll keed topping my plants

  40. @notimportant1055 on July 31, 2024 at 2:21 pm

Topped all 3 of my outdoor sativas above the 8th node. Now tey are all about 7 feet tall and 5-6 feet in diameter and just started flowering. Yeah I’ll continue doing that.

  41. @ethanruckman6345 on July 31, 2024 at 2:21 pm

I’m sorry, why do we wanna hear from some grower that can’t even properly top a plant .wow we crossed some plants and called it mimosa. Anyone can do that. Just like wiz khalifa acting like he created his strain. Lmao

  42. @user-pt2sf7kq7m on July 31, 2024 at 2:23 pm

14 DAY Veg Also Lol No Wonder he dose not top it the top is the Whole Plant LOL

  43. @Adkguerrilla44 on July 31, 2024 at 2:25 pm

I top some outdoor plants just to get em more bushy but my indoor I don’t do anything than defoliate and maybe some lst clips if I’m trying to steer a branch a certain way usually upwards to save lateral room

  44. @weedismyreligion on July 31, 2024 at 2:27 pm

Never heard that much bs in that short amount of timeโ€ฆ what a cook

  45. @louyose on July 31, 2024 at 2:28 pm

you top only during veg. it really is that simple.

  46. @MVc-cn8nr on July 31, 2024 at 2:29 pm

Topping and bending best way to grow for home growers..on the business side its called timing..topping taks a little time.i get short bushy plants everytime by topping and bending.my space is limited. I am not on a time frame to meet my business needs..
Its just like most home growers use soil…business growers go hydro.u can flip a plant way faster hydro..

  47. @Chemhead1982 on July 31, 2024 at 2:29 pm

    Mimosa sucks

  48. @Wanted1069 on July 31, 2024 at 2:29 pm

    Scrog, top and LST.
You’ll grow more and better buds.
This is the most bro science I think I’ve ever heard. ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ˜†

  49. @digger3594 on July 31, 2024 at 2:29 pm

If youre topping in flower its called harvesting

  50. @903.customs on July 31, 2024 at 2:32 pm

What’s wild is that i know another person who everyone in the Emerald Triangle knows, and he was the go to guy for clones for years, 20 years, he was a breeder before he passed a few years ago, and we got Mimosa from him, and I’ve never heard of you. Heck back then you’d have been maybe 10? You created Mimosa when you were 10?
