How to use Fox Farms Trio of Nutrients – Lessons from a Successful Harvest

I’m going to teach you how to use the fox farm trio of nutrients from start to finish. This is knowledge Im giving based on an actual harvest using these nutrients and you’re looking at plants I grew using the set.

So basically, you won’t need to feed your sproutlings any nutrients in the first two weeks of their life. The seeds have all the nutrients a young plant needs so don’t worry about adding anything to your water besides ph Down.

Personally, I bring my ph for young plants to about 5.9 to 6.0 which you can do with lemon water, ph down and a pH meter. Videos for how to do so can be seen on my channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5u1qgr2MpJc

Once you transfer your plants to soil (about two weeks in), the first thing you need to consider is the nutrients that’s already in your soil. I am using a 2 to 1 blend of froggy soil to ocean forest and because ocean forest has a good amount of nutrients in it, I wont add any nutrients until my fifth feeding in soil.

By then they are in their forever pots and with any nutrients, you want to gradually introduce them because doing too much may put the plants in shock and may stress out your plant. For the first two feedings in soil, I feed just normal pH balanced water at low 6’s. Then on my 3rd feeding, I will add a quarter of the recommended dosage of grow big. By this time, your plant should be about 10 inches tall. As I go through the veg phase, I am gradually increasing the amount of grow big from a quarter of the recommended dosage to half (about 3 feedings) and when my plants reach about 18 inches tall, I will introduce big bloom, also at a quarter of the recommended dosage. For the rest of the vegetative phase, I am gradually increasing big bloom up until I am at a half of the recommended dosage(about 2 feedings in) and from then on, it will be a constant half dose of big bloom and grow big. Then when I drop the light cycle down from 18 hours of light to 12 hours of light, the bloom stage begins and for the first two feedings, I still feed half the recommended big bloom and half the grow big dosage. On the 3rd feeding in bloom, I will introduce tiger bloom at a quarter dosage, but I am dropping grow big back down to a quarter dosage and leaving big bloom at a half. On the fourth feeding in bloom, I am completely eliminating grow big, and feeding big bloom and tiger bloom at half the recommended dosage for the rest of the plants lives.
One thing to note is that if you start seeing leaves yellowing or curling, skip nutrients on the next feeding and just use plain ph balanced water. Chances are you are putting in too many nutrients, but if you are not sure, feel free to shoot me a message or comment and Ill let you know my opinion.

This is great thankyou. First time growing. Am going to try this for my outdoor plants. Will be switching to indoor come winter. 🤘
Thank you so much for this video, you’re saving a lot of first time and noob growers a lot of headache lol
big bloom doesnt ad any ppm.(because its not a salt)i recommend the whole does.
How often do you feed?
Discord?
All your vids are on point, and to the T, u definitely helped me out alot so thank you. but I do have a question ,is there a reason you dont use open sesame, cha ching, and beastie blooms in your flowering stages?
Good Morning- viewing your grow journal I see when you add silica blast- but not the Fox Farm nutes…am I missing something? Thank you for sharing your expertise.
I was looking at the ingredients and each one is just different amounts if not more ingredients and the directions put the big bloom in the start because it has almost no nutrients in it. I feel like they are not meant to be mixed or at least it’s kinda unnecessary. Sent with love your friendly neighborhood stoner.
fox farms feeding schedule says to use big bloom first ., so why r u doing it backwards?
i just started growing for my first time and im using your schedule you made and everything is going perfect so far, thank you so much for doing that or i wouldn’t know how to grow🙏🙏
Hey man How often do you feed? I’m using coco loco right now starting new grow 🤙👌
Are these autos?
You are the f***ing man !!! Thank you extremely helpful!
Dude exact info i was looking for. Straight to the point. Thank you
So when I start using big grow how often should I only do 6.0 ph water vs actually feeding them nutrients???
Can I use these nutrients for autos man I’m planting them in a couple weeks but can’t find any schedules for the fox farm trio nutrients
I’m not much of a "comment leaver" but I had to acknowledge you and give the thanks and respect you deserve for this video!!! I’m so sick and tired of trying to find str8 to the point informational videos and constantly running into people talking about their personal life and irrelevant banter trying to stretch their video length!!! I appreciate how you trim the fat and "color commentary" basically you are the ESPN sportscaster vs having to watch the whole game lol…. respect!!!
Question. Why did you use grow big before big bloom?
Hey, so I’m starting my germination this weekend. Is it okay to use the wet napkin in a ziplock back method? I was thinking of putting the germinated seeds in a 16oz cup of soil and then transfer after a few weeks into their forever bags. Would that be fine, or could I just put the germinated seeds in their forever bags from the jump? Also, when you say quarter of the amount, say if it says to put 8 tbsp, you would put 2? Sorry for all the questions, just tryna limit the mistakes on my first growth.
I’m doing a dwc has anyone experienced a brown residue on the roots. There’s no smell. But they don’t seem be healthy to me. I believe it’s from the big bloom. Can I run the ff without the big bloom?
Hey man been watching all of your videos and started my first growth. Success so far my man!! Thank you
Outstanding Bro! Finally found a video that my ignorant butt can understand.
how do I join the discord..I’m interested
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much for making such a descriptive video! keep up your hard work!
What about outside growing. When do you introduce tiger bloom? As soon as you see bud development or before?
Gett ready to start fox farm was wondering are u mixing all those nutrients into same water or different water for each nutrients 😊
Question for you. Veg week 1- half dose of big bloom only due to feeding chart of Fox farm. PPM-351 but then some one said what’s the ppm of tap water before adding nutrients and that’s 200. So did I really under feed on the ppm.?
I’m a month in so far and just had the Foxfarms show up. Thanks for the video
Keep them fire videos coming bossmany u made it look easy pezzy
Thanks for the heads up, I’ve been over feeding with my Fox Farm products which I use and this year I will PH down my city water!
I just transplant my seedling into fox at 3 weeks old. When do you recommend I start using nutrients? What’s a normal week (using your schedule) look like each day for watering feeding or nothing? Please help before I screw this up lol
Is there food everytime u water?
Hi, very instructive video, thanks so much.. And do you get this result with using only the Fox Farms trio base?
You don’t use any more nutriments from their feeding schedule?
Check out https://www.howweedgrow.com/Howweedgrow%20Ultimate%20Chart%20Cheat%20Sheet.pdf for exact amounts on how to use this trio. If you have any questions, ask us on discord: https://discord.gg/W2jytARrV9 Tons of other growers there
Do you mix in another soil with the Fox Farm ocean forest soil?
Am I just add it to the top of the soil? I’m using the water hose lmao
I thought it went big bloom then grow big ?
crazy because this is how i planned on using.. but then the feeding schedule they provide doesnt match that at all so i was so confused
ya did spill a lil bit over but meh whos counting nice buds
Hey man quick question (also very stupid question) but the grow big bottle says the recommended dose is 2-3 tsp, which is a bit vauge. When you measure out the 1/2, 3/4 etc doses, what is the full dose you base that on? 2 tsp or 3 tsp? Thanks so much and excellent video, it was extremely informative.
Finally found a video that explains in detail that my ignorant ass can understand. That’s bud, I’m going to have some questions as I go along.
