Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate. The molecule. Its the "mag" in calmag and the "mag sulfer" in Sweet etc. Add calcium nitrate (or some other form of plant accesable calcium) in the right ratio and you have the notorious calmag. Why is that so hard for people to understand and why do people insist on buying the bottled stuff for boocoo $?

So to use mg once a week? Also with coco and leds do you need to feed then water then water? ( feed base nutes+ calmag) then water with calmag then water with calmag as the watering schedule?

It’s proven to work. Farmers in England have been using it for hundreds of years. It’s a natural mineral that’s lacking in most American soils.

  35. Alex Kimura on August 5, 2022 at 8:11 am

I watched this because I recently foliar sprayed my girls with Epsom salt,, half a teaspoon to 500mls of water and shook the bottle until the Epsom salt was fully diluted..( I could see the salts in the bottom of the bottle).. I sprayed the plants 15mins before lights out 5-7 Days later I noticed chlorophyll coming back but also noticed white residue in blotches all over the plants. I was scrolling through youtube and a pic of white powdery mildew popped up. After watching it I’ve noticed they (w.p.m and Epsom residue) look similar and now I’m worried as I initially had fungus gnats and had 2 wait 10 days for a larvae killer to be delivered. Adult gnats carry fungus from plant to plant I didn’t want to feed the roots where the larvae are so I foliar sprayed.
Asking for info or if any1 has experienced Epsom residue on leaves.
    T.i.a.

I believe it’s: Yellowing from bottom to top = macro = NPK. Yellowing from top to bottom = micro = calmag

Did u continue to feed epson salt during flower, or was it only the two times u had mentioned?
