  2. Jim Miller on September 20, 2022 at 3:28 pm

What about the nutrients that are already in the soil? And my well water read was a red light with 69 ppm.
Does that even sound right? Thanks

How do i cut "It" in half? I just bought the bluelab tds ppm meter. I already have the bluelab ph meter pen as well. But this is my first grow and literally start flushing the plant tomorrow after 8 weeks of the flowering stage. So even though i didn’t use a tds ppm meter but did use the ph meter. I should still use it when flushing my 5 gallon fabric pot gsc x jack herrer photoperiod plant to get the ppms down to under 200 ppm but not zero right???

  11. travisanthony11 on September 20, 2022 at 3:42 pm

over feeding, not flushing. using feminised seeds that are 25% hermi [ coz a grandparent had to be hermi to produce female seeds, female seeds that are 25% hermi really should not be called feminised coz they are not true natural femlaes. these are the problems that stand between real true cannabis and its consumers. lucky not many consumers know how good smooth tasty and clean real cannabis can be, so its not a problem for them.

Thank you for the video I realize that the video is a year old but I just wanted to say thanks for the feeding chart. I’ve been looking for an answer to this question what ppm should I be at in early veg., Late veg, transition, early flower and throughout….

  25. Polly on September 20, 2022 at 4:01 pm

Do you use tds meter with nutrients in water? My meter flatlines as soon as I add nuts. Never used before. Does this at EC or PPM.

  26. Roy Woods on September 20, 2022 at 4:02 pm

How do you lower the ppm if they are too high and can you use soil nutrients in dwc

  27. BLR203 on September 20, 2022 at 4:05 pm

    Excellent video.

  29. GoldenGod on September 20, 2022 at 4:05 pm

Zero? I thought you want it under 200 ppm like 150ppm when flushing at the end of flowering for 2 weeks right before harvesting. Because if you take out all the food won’t the plant die? Help first time grower but definitely read that information multiple times from different sources.

  36. Peter Cursi on September 20, 2022 at 4:11 pm

A few months ago after the ph reading of the runoff was 4.8.ph, I stopped adding nutrients to the ph 5.5 RO water and changed to only watering with ph9 RO water . I still get the same bad results. Each morning after I flush the plants with ph9. RO water, (twice) then I test the runoff and get a reading of 4.8ph & ppm of 4000. I have been flushing my "Phototron" for over 6 months with no improvment. Can you help?
    Thank you in advanced.

  38. degacci on September 20, 2022 at 4:11 pm

Brother I just subscribed you are the man and that chart as a general guideline saved me! I liked and subscribed and will check out all your other videos. Quick question… what’s the ideal nutrient uptake you want from run off? For example I fed 1000ppm and runoff was 250ppm. So it took about 75% which is great but now I don’t want to over feed or underfeed… so what’s a good % to aim for. Or a ratio. Thank you!

I use regular water no filters used what range I should be in TDS

  43. Roy Olsen on September 20, 2022 at 4:19 pm

This is excellent, but I think one piece of information is missing. If you add RO water to soil with nutrients already in it, such as Fox Farm Ocean Forest, the PPM will be a lot higher than zero (say 900). New growers may freak out when they see this and think they need to flush… I am wondering if it would also be helpful to give run-off PPM numbers versus the pure water or water+nutrients PPM).

Thank you for this video My first grow was not that good Im trying to narrow down my problem #1 I had Root aphids which as you know are bad news But now Im trying to get everything set to where my plants are taking up the correct nutrients Not over or under feeding, And try to dial everything in from the start its a learning curve can you recommend a good soil mix to grow indoors auto flowering in 5 gallon grow bags..Just subscribed

Why does my meter say times 10. It’s reading 125 but out to the side there is X10. Which one do I use? 125 or 125 times 10?

Update tonight my ppm reads 700. But out to the side it says X10. There’s no way I’m at 7000 ppm without killing my plant! Which one is correct 700 or 700×10??

  48. Peter Csigo on September 20, 2022 at 4:22 pm

What’s important is TDS and PPM meter are not necessary. All you need is an EC meter for most accurate measuring.

  49. jeremy orourke on September 20, 2022 at 4:23 pm

You need to look at the study about flushing plants I was all about the flushing state until I looked at the studies that they just did not long ago showing multiple smokers smoking marijuana from multiple different ways of being grown at the end stages of their lives flushing no flushing partial flushing the whole 9 yd and actually everybody preferred marijuana plants grown without flushing using nutrients to the very end which blew my freaking mind

  50. watchingyou on September 20, 2022 at 4:25 pm

Hey so no one has ever made a video of them showing exactly how much ppm of nitrogen the plant needs in each growth stage on the PK ….or the cal mag is their any way u could make one or reply to me and let me kno the exact ppm the plant needs of nitrogen on veg and how much pk ppms their needs to be because u guys just give number like 650ppm for veggies but how much of each liquid how much ppm of nitrogen and how much ppm on PK….for example 100ppm of cal mag 250 ppm of nitrogen and 250 ppm of pk =600ppm ….makes alot more sense than giving an optimal number and guessing how much of each liquid
