Aeroponic Misters – Choosing the best nozzle material – Part 1
Aeroponic Misters – Choosing the best nozzle material – Part 1
High-pressure aeroponic misters or spray nozzles are available in many different materials of construction: Brass, cast iron, stainless steel, PVDF (Polyvinylidene), CPVC which are Polymers – and even titanium.
Many factors need to be considered when selecting the appropriate material of manufacture for spray nozzles:
Temperature, Corrosion, Abrasion, and Cost.
Getting it right can save you time, money and a few headaches.
Hi, can you give me a link to buy this nozzle? I can’t find it in my country. Thank you
You are a legend! Keep it up
Hello, does anybody have a clue about which Tee-connector to use for the nozzle with 1/8 male thread? I just can’t find it anywhere…
Thanks!
Very informative videos my friend I am so happy you decided to make them keep up the great work! 😎
I live in the desert so it can get up to 115 here. I’m assuming that I cannot use a plastic nozzle. I don’t really feel comfortable use plastics in such heat when it comes to food. You mentioned that using different materials for tubing and the nozzle could be an issue. Do you have any suggestions for which tubing materials could maintain the integrity of the entire system when using steel nozzles. And do you have a recommendation for steel nozzles?
Loving the channel HTG. I was in the middle of designing my own high pressure aeroponic system and I stumbled onto your channel and its been very helpful. Cheers mate and keep it up!
Thank you for this info
What about copper plated with nickel, these are the only ones I can seem to find here, the manufacturer says they should not have any issues, what is your feedback about it?
Loving this channel! Keep it coming
What is the name of the poly nozzles that you use?
What would I use for cannabis growing 4 by 8 garden bed with 32 to 50 plants
Hey Mister Lee, I love your channel and I have learned a ton already. I was wondering if you could answer one question I had on one of the topics. In your video @5:39 you mention that if you have salts in your nutrient solution you should go for stainless steel nozzles instead of the plastic nozzles. What do you mean here with salts? Because in my understanding plant nutrition is always composed out of salts like kno3 or MgSO4 which after being brought in solution the plant can take up as K or Mg e.d. So do you mean another kind of salt or should you always go for stainless steel nozzles when you work with plant nutrition liquids? Kind regards, Emiel
What product would you recommend for a grow? Please provide links.
Keep it up
Thank you for these videos! I have been researching aeroponics for a few weeks and I have learnt most by binge watching this channel :))
Any links? Maybe put in the description? You also cut out when you were taking about the pressure…. when you go up or down in pressure, within spec, does that increase or decrease droplet size?
What is the name of the stainless steel nozzle?
@ 5:00 i belive it’s called electrolysis same reason you can’t strap a copper pipe with a steel strap
good vid…. i actually use plastic hydroponic nozzles in my race car for water meth injection…. works great…. low pressure high mist excellent
