The Republican incumbent wants to expand medical marijuana while his opponent thinks weed should also be legal for recreational use.
Look what happened when places like California, Washington State, Oregon legalized marijuana. Rampant homelessness in their cities. Marijuana can bring predisposed mental illness such as schizophrenia to the surface. When it wears off, it can induce agitation/irritation. It can inhibit short term memory. It’s also linked to lowering IQ. The lab grown marijuana today has 20%+ more THC than marijuana did in the 70s. Hemp and CBD is okay. Keep marijuana illegal unless it’s for patients and prescribed by medical doctors.

Marijuana prevents you from reaching the 4th REM cycle in deep sleep. It prevents you from dreaming. This also can cascade into other mental health issues. If people want to smoke the funny grass and act like a fool in their off-time, then it doesn’t harm me.
I’d much rather have a few marijuana shops in the area and the occasional whiff of skunky greens opposed to having a dozen or so shady-as-heck people regularly coming and going at the house across the street from me.
