Best way to do a Deep Water Culture (DWC) Nutrient/Reservoir Change
Deep Water Culture is one of the easiest ways to grow flowers. The roots sit in a nutrient rich aerated water solution. This video shows how I do my water changes. I use a sub pump to drain off any remaining solution in the reservoir.

Thanks for the video and the info. I had two buckets as containers, but last night I changed them, now I am using a black plastic box. This happened after reading the tutorial in your website. Thanks again.
Micro first it says on the feeding chart
Nice vid. Have you considered a hand held, electric pump to drain and fill? That’s what I leaning toward for my next grow.
Dumb question- do you add nutrients according to the reservoir size (gallons) or all the pots put together ? Sorry lol
On the nutrition calculator how did you calculate your Batch size?
Never mix nutrients undiluted
I started dwc too about a few months ago.. it’s been pretty good but still learning. Thanks for your video!!
So I was having problems switching from veg to flower. About 1 week into flower my plant woukd die every time.. my ph and ppm/ec was taking huge jumps from correct balances to way low or way high. Do you have any insight on why I was having this problem? I’m going to try dwc again as I’ve been using cocoa for years now but I personally think all my buddy’s product back in the day ran dwc and it was a much better end product.
Thanks for any help.
Do the air pump need to be on 24/7? If so, Will not the pump malfunction if used nonstop? Thanks 🙏
Do you need to add cal mag when using RO water?
