BUILDING A MONSTER FOGPONIC MACHINE / Aeroponics scoot over!
BUILDING A MONSTER FOGPONIC MACHINE / Aeroponics scoot over!
Today we are going to build a monster fogponic machine capable of propagating 67 cuttings at the same time. See the proof of how effective the fogponic machine is in the results of our earlier video.
Here are the products used in our video if you should like to purchase for your own fogponic machine.

I made the fogponics box. Its truly a wonderful concept. I felt that now that it has turned hot here in Oklahoma my cuttings are drying out before rooting. Went to Lowes and they had a clear box which is identical construction and size. Turned upside down on top of the fogponics box it turns it into a greenhouse enclosure that I believe will retain moisture and will prevent premature drying of cuttings prior to rooting.
Next day humidity seen inside.
Hope this is not too much moisture.
My Grandmother used to stick rose cuttings in the ground then place a fruit jar over it. That worked for her. Jar must not be located in direct sun or jar will cook cuttings inside.
Does the air pump go inside?
Do you think this will work with avocado scions?
Be more careful. Do not put your hand in front of the drill and pin your hair to prevent accidents.
Great video. Thank’s a lot!
Hello a want to interconect 6 boxes like these for a indoor grow proyect. Could you give me an advice to develop my idea… saludos desde Mexico tenga una excelente tarde
Thank you for teaching us.
Awesome upload! I think you’d enjoy my content too. Keep up the great work!
How much area between the water level and the cutting?
Crazy people.!!!
What are those sound effects.?!!!
Thank you for great information.
God bless.
Great video! You mentioned you need an air pump but I didn’t see you put the air pump in. Also, why do you need the net cups? Can’t you just use the collars by themselves? Thanks for your reply.
Is this better than aeroponic in growth rate?
Could you propagate just with straight water?
How often do you change the water? How often do you add? more clonex
Fogponics – quieter, faster, finer roots, less electricity. The emitter discs are a consumable and should be replaced periodically.
the subtitle surprisingly filters out some of the "fogger"/"fogging" words 😂
Gusto ko ang iyong accent at ang iyong impormasyon. Sa tingin ng matandang ito ay kahanga-hanga ka.
I just finished drilling the holes in the top of the yellow tote lid…. we used a 55 mm keyhole saw and all the 2 inch cups fall through the holes. So disappointed ! I wanted to start cuttings tomorrow. Now, we have to figure out how to make the holes smaller or the cups larger. I love the concept of the system but the info on the saw size was incorrect.
How long does it take tropical hibiscus to root in this setup?
Is that tub the 55 gal HDX ?
****Update****
Overheating – 86F
My reservoir jacked up to 86F. This was with running the setup 24/7, and the water 6 inches below the top like the video mentioned.
Had to use ice to cool it down, which isn’t ideal since it changed the PH as well as adds water to the reservoir. Froze some water bottles to use instead, but still not ideal.
Rigged a PC fan to a DC power cord and put it through one of the holes but didn’t do much.
Location was in a shaded garage. Eventually had to move it inside with the A/C. Even with the A/C at 66F, it still climbs slowly. When it hit 72 I put in another bottle of frozen water with the cap secured. Working on potential fixes.
Side note would be that my intention to add a 3rd fogger and float would not be possible until the cooling issue is solved.

I built this machine with a standard 27 gallon tote (the monster one in the video is 55 gallon I believe) and am loving it. A few observations for anyone planning to do the same:
-2 foggers and 2 floats are missing some of the inserts at the ends of the lid
-Where you see the holes in the lip of the container is a great place to saw a tiny indent in the top lip for the power cords to run through and close lid flush
-Remember to grab the Netpots with LIPS. The 2 inch ones in the description. Without the lips, your pots will fall straight through the 2 1/6 hole.
-Using the air pump in the link in description of video gives you 2 air stones. But not much air. Wondering if potentially 2 air pumps and 4 stones might be better?
awesome. a question lady if you please – re CLONEX, does this mean you think the clonex will be delivered in the fog? i have doubts in my mind is all. mygreathanks
I love what you are doing, thank you for teaching us……….question, can I use this system to grow any plants? like lettuce and aromatic herbs?
You can extend the life of your Fog pucks and cut the heat they generate by (1) calculating the time it takes to just overflow your tub with fog. (2) calculating the time for the fog to settle halfway down. Set these ON/OFF times into an Ebay dipswitch-programmable interval timer board (110V) and connect your Fog pucks. (I use 2 min. ON/ 12 min. OFF). It’s very energy efficient, makes little heat, and prolongs the life of your pucks.
how long do you leave the fogger on?
So how do you deal with the heat? I have a 4×6" four transducer fogger in a 50L container and after running it for two days the water temperature went up maybe 50 degrees. I don’t think it’s going to make very many roots with an chamber temperature over 130F
Does the fogger machine provide air bubbles or do you need to submerge an air-pump into the container?
very cool. But what’s with the disposal of that microplastic?! 9:23
Where do you buy this container? Thanks you
What brand is the best fogger for fog Pontic system? When I go to Amazon the comments and ratings on the foggers are very low . People say they only last a month before they quit working .
Would appreciate your expertise on this
Thanks Paul
I enjoyed your tutorials. Where did you buy the 2inches cups and styrofoam for the fogponic machine. Thanks
Great video! What are those hanging coloured net pot towers called? 12:00 where can they be purchased? Thanks
What time settings do you have the timer on for the fogponics
Great work! You’ve inspired me!
Hello Marcelina. I am a huse fan of yours.
I need some tips so if you can give me your contact number that will be great.
