You don’t have to put the heater inside the tent. What I did was to create a space just outside the tent with panda film to block cold drafts and let the heater warm up the entire space. Kinda like a "mud room" that your tent sits inside and the difference in growth is astounding! An electric oil filled heater is safe and efficient compared to those dangerous, small Amazon heaters. The one I have is programmable to the exact duration & temp. Give it a try!

  13. Raymond Prosper on December 14, 2022 at 1:55 am

Get a tube heater much cheaper to run than the mats. A tube heater will run off a inkbird controller. Yes Alex they sell them on amazon 🤯👍🏾

  14. GrowingWithJoy on December 14, 2022 at 1:55 am

Do you use purecrop1 in flower also? Or just in veg..

  15. Chickenwing on December 14, 2022 at 1:56 am

I got a question that I can’t seem to find anywhere on YouTube, I’m growing cannabis outside on winter. Can it still grow I live in Arizona and it only gets around 44-55 cold in winter can it still grow?

  20. GrowingWithJoy on December 14, 2022 at 2:04 am

This is what I do for growing in the winter indoors.. I try to run my lights when the hours of the night are creeping up.. so if I’m running veg, and the sun comes down at roughly 5/6pm.. that’s when my lights will come on until about 11/12am. When the sun is just coming out & the lights can go off because it’s not so cold out. The lights help supplement for the heat a bit, so I found it beneficial to switch the plants light schedule to more of a nocturnal if you will 🤙🏾💯

  21. G4RY on December 14, 2022 at 2:06 am

Wrap the mats around the pots as they will provide more direct warmth, use a couple of those elastic cords with the hooks at each end to keep the mats in place.
The cords are called bungee straps

  22. Remxdiez on December 14, 2022 at 2:06 am

Did you buy the temp gauge for your mats ?? I want to get 4 for under each of my fabric pots but don’t wanna burn the fabric up … my temps barely get to 65 degrees right now in Virginia :/ hasn’t hit spring yet

  23. Robert Threm on December 14, 2022 at 2:08 am

Put a CMH in there that warm things up or radiant heater with the perfect temperature dial would actually be nice

  24. sven achilles on December 14, 2022 at 2:08 am

Ey mother vather brother friend, have a nice merry christmas and enjoy peace

  25. Robert Threm on December 14, 2022 at 2:09 am

I had trouble with two plants. when I chop them the arteries were plugged up towards the bottom. what is that too much water. It makes me want to be a plant cardiologist and get that camera with the little drill 🤣🤣

  26. Chris L. on December 14, 2022 at 2:09 am

I use a clip light, on the timer, with a dimmer and a 200w incandescent bulb to raise temps.

  27. Melinda Ventimiglia on December 14, 2022 at 2:10 am

Bro my 2×2 is consistently at 18-19 c when the lights are off from 1130pm-530am with a Rh above 50% below 70% is that pretty good I am in CA by the way

  28. J Gonzales on December 14, 2022 at 2:11 am

  29. Rahkiel Singh on December 14, 2022 at 2:12 am

hysheild helps. i had a few freeze solid a few seasons ago, i was feeding that shit everytime all the way through. they finish frostier in cold temps, they form more tricombs to protect themselves.

  30. Scotty Foster on December 14, 2022 at 2:14 am

Hey I was wondering if the cold weather would keep the plants from flowering? My tent has been on 12/12 for 14 days and plants have only stretched no signs of buds.

  31. westside brother on December 14, 2022 at 2:16 am

Epsom salt would boost them up

  32. Fake Account on December 14, 2022 at 2:19 am

It is 2 above zero outside. It is 51 in the unfinished/unheated basement. At night it will stay around 51 degrees. During the day I might get as high as 60 degrees. Never noticed a difference tho. Well other then when it is cold you tend to get more purple colors and stickier buds. I don’t have an exhaust fan or any fan for that matter. With 18% humidity I don’t think any kind of mold/mildew will be an issue. The only time I notice any stunted growth is if it drops to the mid 40’s. I actually prefer cold growing. I seem to have much more problems when it is in the summer with 103 degrees @ 94% humidity,

  33. LetArtsLive on December 14, 2022 at 2:19 am

I’ve been working on my plants for 4 months. I think I might have waited too long. I’ve been researching and I have not seen what I have orange crispy around the edges and maybe it is this. Because I made the room light proof it is way more humid. If I did use heating mats I would not want them on when the lights are on cuz it gets warm in there then or do I I don’t know? the new growth looks fine. I gave up buying it from the Republic people around here honestly I get pretty high from the leaf and the tops that I trimmed. But it’s Gorilla Glue number 4 and maybe I should have picked something else like Autoflower I don’t know? I also don’t know if it is legal in New York I don’t think it is yet but what can they really do? The greedy people want you to wait till after they start selling it for 11 months which could be forever. You’re not supposed to buy it from your dealer which I don’t want to cuz they’re a bunch of Thieves the amount they are charging more after it’s supposably legal in New York. I just d4u liautaud the whole bottom again to see if I can get some more growth to the top but I think I waited way too long and I think I have root bound maybe root rot I don’t know but I don’t want to give up because that’s my medicine so anything you could tell me about orange leaves around the edges sure would help me. And the runt plant that plant has some messed up leaves that have four leaves three leaves and I think it’s something to do with Gorilla Glue number 4 and it was screwed up in a runt because the seed stuck on there and I pulled it off. I guess waiting longer was not a good thing to wait four months I should have waited like 3 maybe your two and a half to flip. But the room where I have them it is so hard to keep the temperature right because there’s an electric heater on the wall that the landlord put in and it’s by a door so it keeps on turning on and off I think I’m going to put a radiator electric heater that runs on 650 in there. I don’t pay for electric so my landlord’s probably going to figure it out eventually even though I have the LED lights and I don’t think I can turn them up all the way Wicked says cuz they will burn my plants. But they say to turn it all the way up in the end budding. Is it okay to have the lights closer to your plant and not as bright but the light will still be on them and save Electric? Well I guess that’s enough or more than enough peace out

  35. Johnny Sanchez on December 14, 2022 at 2:23 am

My wife is making me move my grow to the garage that isn’t insulated. I was wondering if I use a 600hps in a 4×2 tent and run autos with lights on the entire grow if I can keep the temperature warm enough. I’m in the south and my garage can get below freezing at times. Any advice?

I’ve been using heat pads during the winter months for my cuttings to get them rooting and its working well , id like to try the heat pads in my main tents but id need 18 individual mats and that’s just not practical so i was thinking of trying out an electric blanket on the lowest setting and see how that works , obviously id make it water proof , maybe place it under the tent floor

  40. Gordon DUNN on December 14, 2022 at 2:26 am

Mate never spray your plants folia spray when the light is on always do it when the light is off

  41. Topsrite on December 14, 2022 at 2:26 am

Yes, great tip Used a 2×2 heat mat for my 2×2 tent. Room temps around 64, this worked great and produced fabulous material 😉

  43. Josh on December 14, 2022 at 2:27 am

Guys if your on a budget, have a lot of time and a small set up try using a few hot water bags, however you will need to reheat the bags at least once during the night to ensure ur plants are kept warm for as long as possible

  44. John Doe # on December 14, 2022 at 2:28 am

Man how long was the veg on those chicas? 3 gallon pots right?

  50. Allerheiligen Genetics on December 14, 2022 at 2:41 am

You can put your tent on blocks. So it’s not on the ground. Another way you could help heat your tent could be venting some air from inside your house into your tent via vent tubing.
