If you did a run of test or slushee test would you have caught the problem?

  2. Cali Love on May 15, 2022 at 7:23 pm

I’m pretty sure the PH in anything changes. I don’t know why someone would argue about the PH with you. Anyway, thanks for the info. Good to know!

That table looks horribly dirty… and all the dead shit

  4. LEE YEREX on May 15, 2022 at 7:25 pm

Turns out you argued with an (idiot) but he was right. 😂. Coco changes when it dries out. Feed daily with pH adjusted and you will be fine. Make sure your getting run off as it holds a certain nutrient and releases it weeks later. This can produce slight issues in flower. That’s it. Yeh if you mess about adjusting your coco pH your gna run into problem after problem. Just feed daily with the correct pH solution.

How do I ph my coco? I double buffered with calmag with my ph around 5.8-6. What is the best ph for coco? Do I soak the coco in ph water to or is it simply just ping the water your using for feeding

  10. Rob L on May 15, 2022 at 7:28 pm

Where can I find your Coco pH and ec tester’s at?

  11. THUNDER & joy on May 15, 2022 at 7:30 pm

Yes you need to ph your soil but that is not reason why your not getting rock hard buds…depending on what genetic you get will determine if you get dense buds or not…if your grow room is to hot you will not get dense buds and your plants will stretch..if you dont have enough light or your light is to far away from the top of your canopy you will not get dense buds…if your under feeding your girls will not get dense buds….there are many reasons why you wont get dense buds…
But trust me if your buds do get to dense I will a sure you get bud rot if your not careful….

Dont use any of those instruments and I use hempy buckets lol. My plants are totally green and healthy til harvest.

  13. chris baker on May 15, 2022 at 7:31 pm

never been a fan of direct stab into soil meters. Slurry test with water probe always seems more accurate. My opinion, different fluctuations of ph like that in coco is not enough perlite. Salt build ups coco not drying out, etc leads to different troubles. Again, my opinion problems here are more then just ph.
I would definitely like to see the accuracy of these stab into soil pens compared to a slurry test, if they were both reading the same I’d buy one. But don’t and have not because they are not accurate in my opinion. Would love to be proved wrong

  20. Akainu Ddog on May 15, 2022 at 7:42 pm

When you said you don’t feed to adjust the soil in certain areas does that mean you are putting ph up directly in the soil?

  21. Tezzasbigbuz on May 15, 2022 at 7:42 pm

17 seconds sorry bud looks like a potassium deficiency light yellow on outer of leaf

I need to get a soil PH meter. I just been using the PH pen. Good stuff Cody 🔥💯🤘

  24. John Appleby on May 15, 2022 at 7:46 pm

I have NEVER measured ph in Coco or peat/soil…..I ALWAYS, use liquid Nutes, and ph to 5.8 in Coco Coir and 6.4 in peat/soil, before I feed ……I have NEVER seen any problems…..Im almost leaning toward a soil ph meter, and ph, per your latest video on how to ph soil…… it will be interesting to see if it has any different effect on my end result……stay tuned

  25. Chronic Care on May 15, 2022 at 7:47 pm

I’ve got all 6.0-6.4 in all my pots, in veg, coco coir n perlite, shishkaberry purple from nukeheads, all the stems and petioles are turning purple and possibly showing mag deficiency. I got the blue labs but maybe I should use the nuke meter?

  26. Israel Tv on May 15, 2022 at 7:51 pm

Hey Cody I live in Jamaica can I use my outdoor soil for indoor grow or should I use potting soil

  27. CannabisCultureTechLife on May 15, 2022 at 7:51 pm

While I don’t have a soil PH meter yet. What is your opinion in testing the run off PH and EC in a drain to waste system? Also would PH difference in different areas of the same pot imply a buildup of salts from not watering the whole pot evenly but more so watering in specific places?

Much appreciated for all your content this is really helping me be a more informed grower.

  28. Jusaisrae on May 15, 2022 at 7:52 pm

Six instruments and you’re still having problems.
Never let your ph get close to dry unless you’ve just re-potted the plant. In its first week in a new pot you want to promote root growth by allowing the coco to dry a bit. Once you have a strong root system, start watering daily. Never let it get close to dry. When you let coco dry this is what causes ph fluctuations. Feed every single day.

  29. Matthew on May 15, 2022 at 7:52 pm

Had a few successful grows without ph my water this time decide to buy a ph meter just to see I was at 7.4 so been lowering it to 6.3/6.4 started yellowing for a few over a week now been trying to adjust the feed turns out my ph meter was way off it was at 6.35 but showing 7.4 so after I adjusted it I was at 5.3 😐

  30. Gallow Glas420 on May 15, 2022 at 7:56 pm

So the pH meter also reads the soil! That’s pretty cool. Thanks for the tips 👍🥂

  31. Dagmar Jones on May 15, 2022 at 7:58 pm

I know you’re in high times and you design meters, etc. I’d like to say that you shouldn’t leave the decaying leaves in the pots. They don’t add anything, they just rot there and attract pests like those flies you have. Coco is basically hydroponic – anything you add in just helps to maintain nutrient availability while whatever you’ve added in is still viable, but its un-necessary if you’re feeding correctly as you water. In addition, letting your runoff water sit there in the tray also creates lots of issues such as pests and disease. Drain out the water daily/after each feeding.

    I know youre a pro, I’m just a farmer.

So what do u do if half your pot is right and half off?

  43. Grow_2_Blow on May 15, 2022 at 8:10 pm

This settles it, my next upload will go M into detail about the nukeheads soil ph tester, it may not sound like much but I’m very happy with the fact that I am maintaining green stalk and stem, I had only been using Amazon ph testers and by the time id hit flowering my stalks would be brownish only appearing green while watering but the nukeheads soil ph tester has everything green and I also bbn learned from cody the importance of a 6.0 during flowering, all things considered this harvest should be pretty decent.
