Hi Hygro,I’m just starting out a dwc grow(five gallon set up with four inch net pots)I’m using hydrocorn,I have cleaned the hydrocorn with water,before I used it.I guess I will just get right to the point.i set my ph at 5.9 in the morning and when I check it at night it’s up to 6.5 Is the hydrocorn cousing the ph to rise.I don’t have a drip system in place I just have the net pots sit just above the water line ,how can I correct this or is something I have to put up with until roots grow?

Can anyone tell me why my ph spikes 7.0+ and ppms are spiking 650+ no purple. Slightly yellow leaves but I am 2 weeks from harvest. I am setting ppms at 450-550.

you could buy a battery operated pump that is usually used for pumping gas from a gas can to a cars gas tank instead of the small beaker to replenish the reservoir if the canopy is in the way….theres a few on amazon prime for under $20 and one end can go in a five gallon bucket of nutrient solution while the nozzle with the three foot tubing is placed over the net pot.

Do you run your CO2 through a controller? What I mean is, do you have anything in place to stop your air exchange fans from running while your CO2 is replenishing? Just wondering how much of a problem this is for preventing your wasting of CO2, or if I should not worry about it at all.

Have you tried the PH Perfect line of Advanced Nutrients? Also, the nutrient calculator on their site shows how to use their products. It’s pretty simple. Also, on the side of the bottle it shows how much to use but it doesn’t show when to use like it does on the website.

Just an FYI
Silica blast can be used differently then some other silica products. GH, for one. Those other products must be added to the water first or it will bind to your nutrients and lock them out.

Dude, you videos are the blueprint! I’m about to start my first DWC next week. During the weekly water change to add all new nutrients, It seems the drain line will not empty the bucket totally. Is this necessary? Do I need to wash the bucket after every water change? Seems difficult with the plant in scrog.

I know this video is old but it’s very informative. I just started week three of grow in my system and my plants are going nuts. They are eating 2 gallons a day between 4 plants since last week. I’m using the same nutrients without the AN additives only the GH products and I quit using Orca last week and started using king Crab. I have only been topping off with RO water they ate 100ppms last night should I bring my numbers back with the 3 part or just keep topping off with RO water. Your hydro videos helped me so much. Thank you so much for making all this content.
