Three leaf marijuana plants are usually caused when a plant’s photoperiod is interrupted as a seedling. This particular plant went tri after an attempt to sex as a young plant along with a few others. These plants have been very slow to grow. It is also possible to get single leaf plants from revegging.

I currently have tri leaf widow plant in my out door garden, it had grown this way from seed and the flowers are fat and dense, I have never before grown cannabis so I’m trying to find why this has grown the way it has…… Looks great though! 🤣
I grew a tripod from seed, wasn’t sure about it, it was the first I had seen. It seemed otherwise normal until it started flowering and it turned out to be an hermaphrodite. Not sure if it is going to fertilize my other plant or just itself, I hope not. Anyway, it will be interesting to see next year if it has produced feminised tripod babies. I will have about a million of them.
Banana Daddy just started throwing three leaves out was a clone .

i did the same thing but mine is now about 6ft tall, flowering and still have the three bladed leaves. im kinda attached to her now

Oh I’m really trying to research this Ruderalis species so when I saw "3 leaf" thought it about that oh well. Still nice to see a fellow AK47 lover first tried it 03/04 was big were i lived round that time and few more years but then fell out of favour. Also around that every novice started hydro or soil but still under lights cause they wanted a fast easy buck but it put a dent in the garden hobby for nearly ten years mid 2000s to mid 2010s due to shit seed stock being spread around from upto 4th even 5th generation cuttings being seeded things are better now "artifical" garden setups getting better people learnt return to seed after 2nd generation Max. Lastly my favorite a definite grass roots resurgence to outdoor growing can’t beat plants growing where their supposed too under the conditions they supposed too!! WORDWIDE LEGALIZE
So my plant had a branch break two times on me in lst, so I fixed it with rope and honey to help it heal. She healed up, but every since veg now into the 5th week of bloom she has been growing exactly like yours. I don’t see any issues with it budding. As they are getting bigger each day, and looks healthy. But I also don’t think my grow light is strong enough. But this video definitely helps alot to understand what’s going on. I’m thinking she got stressed from the branch breaking twice.
I’m experiencing three leaves on my AK-47 plant too. It’s growing indoors, only 4 weeks old and there are 4 nodes. Let’s see what happens.

I have 4 plants that I received that were started in a greenhouse that might have been light stressed and they have 1 leaf and 3 leaves , mostly 3. they are growing and seem healthy, I have been giving them Hollands secret 3 part system for a couple weeks now and the new growth is still the same. Have you had them grow out of it ? Thanks

I herd it could also be genetics the strain or it’s in stress
I have a kiwi banana OG with all 3 finger leaves and it was definitely not reveged. Some OG and Skunk plants have genetic mutation for causing 3 leaf plants..
My plant is 6 weeks old and I noticed it has 3 leafs on the newer growths it also sprouted with two main stems as a seedling. My grandfather said that will be a male plant and I should throw it out but I can’t help to be curious and see if does turn into a male. It grows the fastest and at week 3 it started to smell as well… and it also was a twin seeding.
Just happened to me. Accidentally started to flower, pinched off all the buds and added light. The plants look super healthy now but lots of leaves with only 3 segments.

your 100% right my cutting was in flower I put it into a veg state drawing the winter months small pot windowsill light to avoid bud rot as it really needs to flower during the summer months
I have a 3 leaf from bean. It’s my best producer by size. It is smaller over all. But huge dense buds. And also the most frosty I have. Very interesting little plant

That’s normal. Once the two other tops start to form they should go 5 to 7 and then eventually 9 and 11
If your plant is experiencing any type of irregular growth, do not take clones. Always take clones from healthy, stable mothers!
What was the result of it, its happened to mine, went into flower same size as that too, interested in the result

I have a clone that got stressed from neglect and it grew three leaves for awhile. Once i got her healthy she started growing normal again. Great info Doc! Love and cheers!!
